Located at 8,600 ft the spectacular CO Rocky Mountains, temps can be up to 15 degrees cooler than downtown. Beautifully renovated to be enjoyed by our family and guests, Durango Dream Views is designed to be romantic, comfortable and memorable. Plentiful art, a myriad of rustic textures, and saturated nature hues bring the gorgeous outdoors into our home. In summer, spring and fall seasons, our upstairs balcony and downstairs patio offer outdoor spaces with stunning vistas that help you remember why its great to be alive. In winter season ski in ski out at Purgatory from our East Rim Bldg. D courtyard, and wave to bunny slopes skiers down below, from our balcony and Patio.

Durango Dream Views Layout:
UPSTAIRS
The living room's 3 large glass doors offer spectacular views every day from much of the upstairs, of the Needles Mountains, Twilight lake across the highway, and the winter Bunny Slopes down below. Our corner condo is approximately 1275SF, on 2 levels with hand-scraped maple floors on both levels, carpeted winder stairs with a new handcrafted knotty alder railing, a balcony and a patio. Also new in fall 2018, our home has knotty alder doors and trim throughout the interior, including a gorgeous new entry door.
Upstairs is Durango Dream Views main living level, featuring the kitchen, dining, living, artwork that brings the outdoors in, a full bathroom, and a balcony with dining seating for 4, and a gas grill. In addition to the large sliding doors, 2 beautiful new wood side windows and a tall window by the fireplace offer addtional natural light and scenic views. Durango Dream Views is a great place to be!
Enjoy family evenings at beautiful farmhouse style reclaimed wood table. Eight padded leather chairs, a highchair for baby (and a custom coffee table that doubles as extra seating for children) make the table perfect to gather round for family games or socializing after dinner. Matching dinnerware, decorative plate chargers, leather placemats, handforged flatware and Italian glassware set an inviting table for your family.
The living area features a large, down stuffed flannel and leather trim sofa by Lauren Schnadig, and a made in the USA queen sleeper bed sofa. Both coffee tables are custom made from reclaimed silo wood by a CO Springs wood artisan. A wood burning fireplace with stone trim and wood mantle compliment the romantic mountain ambiance. Aspen wood is seasonally provided outside by our HOA, we recommend bringing 4hr logs to make fire upkeep easier. A smart TV with Netflix and Hulu Live service is mounted above the fireplace.
Our kitchen features stainless appliances. Enjoy the luxury convenience of a bottom freezer fridge. You'll love the plentiful lighting, and tall faucet that's easy to get pans beneath. Every inch of cabinet space has been utilized to provide plenty of mixing bowls, a crock pot, blender, mixer, primarily stainless pots and pans, a roasting pan, baking pans and more. We cook special family dinners here too, and strive to ensure that our guests will have all the utensils needed to prepare lovely meals.
DOWNSTAIRS
Our 2.5 bedrooms are downstairs, accessed by carpeted winder stairs with a handrail. Even the stairwell is pretty, with colored glass lights and warmly saturated artworks. At the bottom of the stairs is the 3rd bedroom. The bunk room is a pass-through space best suited to children, yet is spacious and inviting. There is a full bottom bunk reinforced for adults, and a twin upper bunk. The room has an attached powder room with toilet, vanity and front load washer and dryer. Joyful art, Pottery Barn quilts, a door with window and window behind the bunk bed, and a new guest closet with local craftsman made knotty alder mirrored doors complete this welcoming space.
A wood and privacy glass door lead to a fully renovated jacuzzi room. Renew your woo, relax sore muscles, or let the children have a bubble bath. With full travertine walls, reflective glass accents, and dimmable lights, and massage shower head, the corner jacuzzi tub room will be a family favorite.
Both of the private bedrooms bring the romance factor, and offer lots of comfort. Lay in the comfy queen bed and gaze out at the gorgeous mountain views, through glass doors that lead to the private patio. Two dimmable glass drop chandeliers hang over the bed, complementing gilded accents and layered Pottery Barn bedding. The patio features a loveseat swing, and Pier 1 wicker table set, and never-ending mountain views. The adjacent King bedroom offers the added convenience of an attached powder room. The room is a beautiful space to reconnect with your spouse, the crystal drum chandeliers over the bed sparkle on the suede paint walls. In the evenings skip the TV, and instead turn on the wall mount, wood frame electric fireplace and cozy up. Pottery Barn velvet and a RL cotton kilim texture duvet filled with down, make the comfy Tempur-pedic king mattress special and restful. Both private bedrooms have flat screen TV's with Netflix and Hulu Live, RL suede walls, hanging closet storage, and creamy, softly pearlescent ceilings. We've striven to create bedroom spaces that are worthy of a Colorado honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, or just that chance to remind your spouse how much you love them.
Bathroom Specifics:
There is 1 full bathroom upstairs with a toilet, and tub-shower combo. This bathroom has been modernized with a new vanity, tile floor, Kohler toilet and fixtures, Its white tile may be the only original feature remaining in our East Rim home. Downstairs are 2 powder rooms each with vanity and toilet, and a separate corner Jacuzzi tub combo with shower. The king powder room leads into the jacuzzi room with a glass and alder pocket door. The jacuzzi room can be separated from the king powder room and the bunk room with alder and glass privacy doors. A washer and dryer (BYO HE detergent) are in the powder room attached to the bunk area.
TRAVELING WITH BABIES?
To make vacation more enjoyable for moms with babies and toddlers, at "Durango Dream Views" we offer 1 standard pack n play, a folding highchair, an Alex Toys play mat, and Little People toys. There are also plenty of children's books for all ages to read bedtime stories, and board games. We have a baby gate, and try to stock toddler dishes and spoons.
ELECTRONICS:
There is wi-fi, its speed is sufficient to play movies on the living room Smart TV and goes out rarely. While there are 3 TV's in our home, we like to "tune out" when on the mountain, and rarely use TV when there (maybe for an urgent football game or a dose of DIY). You will likely know more about the TV's and satellite than we do. The upstairs TV mounted above the fireplace is a smart TV and does have a DVD player and HDMI. All 3 TV's have Netflix and Hulu Live service.

We spent close to a week at this location and was absolutely amazed at the beautiful scenery from the balcony as well as the condo itself. The condo was perfect for our family and enjoyed every minute of it. Never stayed somewhere that the room was stocked so well. Did not lack for anything. Owner was very nice to work with and very accommodating. Will definitely stay again if we are in this area.

We had a great stay at Dream Views. Great to wake up to the majestic Needles mountain group right outside the deck windows! Came to go hiking and the condo was a delightful place to come home to. Surprising well stocked kitchen as well as a detailed book as to places to ea and shop. Small but comfortable bedrooms. My bedroom opened out to a small patio looking out to the mountains. A great deal!

This was our 9th year to stay in this condo. We love our “home away from home”. Location is perfect for skiing and shopping or dining on the mountain. We ate most meals at the condo in the well equipped kitchen. It’s cozy and comfortable and the owners are wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Looking forward to our stay next year!

This was the perfect place for skiing with kids! We were right off the slopes!!! Ski school was a short ski run down. The kitchen was awesome! The fireplace heaters kept the downstairs area warm and cozy.

This was such a spacious, clean, and perfectly located spot to stay. It had everything our family needed and we especially loved the view from the back porch! Would stay here again next time we visit Purgatory for sure. If you want to ski in/out this is the place to stay!

Beautiful home, fabulous location with beautiful views, and furnished with everything you need during your stay. Owners are very friendly and prompt in responding to any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and will definitely return for another stay in the future!

Overall, we loved our stay in this condo. The view was stunning, and it was very comfortable. We had a few issues with the internet service and a leak from the washing machine, but the owners were easy to work with and did everything they could to make things right. We would gladly stay again if we are ever back in this region.

As the pictures reveal, the scenery that surrounds this unit is spectacular in any season. It is literally at the base of the Purgatory ski lift. There are some summer amenities at the ski resort as well. Local restaurants are very limited but there are many good places to eat in Durango which 30 minutes away.
We visited Mesa Verde Nat’l Park about 90 minutes away. We also rode the scenic railway that runs from Durango to Silverton and back. It follows the Ainimas River and it’s scenery is only surpassed by the drive on Highway 550 beyond Silverton to Ouray.
The unit was comfortable with a wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped and had up to date appliances. It was very compact for cooking and cleanup for more than one person. The stairway down to all the bedrooms exits directly into the bunk bed room. All the lower bedrooms have an electric fireplace ( the one in the master bedroom needs a muffler.)

This home was cozy and well stocked! Lots of games for our littles to play and perfect location to ski down to their lessons in the morning. Prompt reply from property owner with any questions we had. This was our first visit to Purgatory and we enjoyed it!

The condo was lovely and comfortable. The views were fantastic. Everything was clean. Location was great - right by the lifts - truly ski-in, ski-out. Easy and clear instructions for check-in and check-out. We loved it.

My family and I travelled to Purgatory Resort for 6 nights during Spring Break Week, 2023. We chose this condo because of its perfect location in the resort, the fact it had more than enough room for our family, how nice the interior looked and the amazing views. It did not disappoint on any of this. The snow this Spring at Purgatory was epic. It really never stopped for more than a half a day at a time while we were there. We were able to stock the house with one grocery run to City Market and used Purgy‘s a short walk away for our few remaining meals. The house has a ski locker outside and a bench, bins and coat rack to keep shoes, gloves, helmets etc. organized inside the door. The bedrooms are downstairs. We only brought two of our kids, but it does have enough room for a family of six to stay comfortably. The home is family friendly. Our kids loved the toy bin. It has lots of games and has a PacknPlay and a portable high chair downstairs. The upstairs tub has a non slip mat in it as well. Kitchen: The kitchen table is really lovely and was a wonderful place to take meals. We cooked multiple meals in the kitchen. I greatly appreciated the availability of Pyrex food containers. There is a complete spice set in the drawer. The water here has a high mineral content, but tastes fine. People who require softer water should bring some bottled water or bring a Brita. Lastly, the views are out of this world! Thank you!

This was our third time to stay here and we plan to come back next year. The location can’t be beat and the view is amazing.

Perfect location on the mountain. Beautiful view and short walk to lifts, lodge and purgatory square. Great spot for young kids, due to the location between ski schools and also the condo was stocked with good toys. Our 3yr old and 6yr old played for hours after skiing.

Wow. Where to begin- this place was just awesome. You can not beat this location. We could literally see our kids having ski school lessons on the bunny slope from the deck of the condo. The kitchen was fully stocked with literally everything you need- slow cooker, blender, the works. The fire place and provided aspen wood was a big hit with our kids, and we enjoyed all the games and toys provided as well. This was an ideal place for families with having so much room to spread out. We were a family of five (3 kids all under 7), and it worked out perfectly for us. We picked up groceries in Durango (the on mountain dining is very limited), and we made most of our meals at the condo. It was so, so wonderful to be so close to all the lifts (a 30 sec walk) because that meant we could dash back to the condo if we forgot something or needed a snack. As a mom, having the washer/dryer was an incredibly wonderful feature. All in all, the best VRBO we have ever rented. We can't wait to get back!!

The location can't be beat. Just steps to the lifts, and also close to the resort's amenities. The condo had plenty of room for us to spread out and relax. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows, blankets, and towels were provided. We would absolutely stay there again! Our entire group really enjoyed it.

Perfect ski in and ski out place. The room layout was a bit quirky, but for a family it works fine. Would definitely rent here again.

We were able to literally put our skis on outside the front door and access the ski runs to the lift. At the end of the day, we were able to ski to the front of the property! Amazing convenience!
Oh and the views from the living room were phenomenal!

Easy to get to, very clean, great communication with host. Great ski in/ski out location.

Truly ski in/out. This condo has the most amazing view, the sunsets reflecting off the mountain range (which you can watch in front of the fire from the comfy sofa) are unreal. The suggestion to bring 4 hour logs was the best, they really are amazing, no campfire smell! The condo had everything we needed plus some. Comfy beds, very clean, owner was easy to reach. Would absolutely stay again!

We loved this place. Super location for skiing with the family as it allows us to ski in for lunch and breaks through the day. Beautiful views and truly felt like a family home. Thanks for sharing with us.

We were looking for a true ski in/ski out at purgatory and this is it. there are few places at this resort that can truly say that, but this building is one of them. there is a pretty steep 10-20 steps down to the run that goes under the bridge, but we were able to easily transport my 1 and 3 year old down and up. you can easily walk across the street through the guest services building to get up to the plaza, too. the provided baby/kid items are helpful for those traveling with littles. during our stay, neither baby gate worked, but the owner said they would look into replacing. i’d check on that if booking with littler kids as the stairs are decently steep and winding. we used a large Yeti cooler to block the stairs and it worked fine, but you’ll want something there for sure.
also keep in mind the condo is electric heat downstairs (and awesome fireplace upstairs). there are fireplace heaters in each bedroom but only one can run at a time and it gets pretty chilly at night (we had the electric settings all the way up and it didn’t seem to matter much). probably not a concern for most, but we had our toddlers separated in each room and had to flip back and forth.
Additionally: Literally everything provided you’d want in the kitchen. Prime parking for one vehicle. Nice large bathtub for relaxing after skiing. Manual provided 24 hours prior lists that early check in/late check out not available. Keep that in mind for traveling. We did arrive early and played in the plaza area and the condo was ready 30 mins before our check in time.
if you’re looking for a great place to stay at purgatory, with or without kids. this is it.

Great location nice and clean! I would recommend a TV in family living room , we like to play family games and listen/ watch the football game in background, but other than that it was awesome

My family and I stayed there for Thanksgiving Break. Although there was no snow the property was great. We had a power outage and a few things did not come back on. Owner was quick to respond and everything was back up and running. Great location. Lift is right there.

We loved our stay at this wonderful property. The condo was clean, well appointed and really comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the deck while taking in the amazing views. Will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed our time at this condo. The patio and views out the back door and windows were our favorite part. Everything was fantastic and owners were quick to respond to any questions. Listed as 3 bedrooms, and technically that is correct. 3 distinct places, but the bunk bed (double on bottom, twin on top) is in a common area that the other two bedrooms must pass through to get up the stairs to the kitchen and common area. Would be a fine place for smaller kids, but not optimal for 3 couples. Everything we needed was stocked and ready. Loved it during our summer stay and would surely love to stay again during the ski season, since it is truly a ski in/ski out location.

As advertised, the views were spectacular. Nice deck with comfortable furniture to sit and gaze at the unobstructed mountains and lake below. Well appointed condo with everything you need. Comfortable bedding. Nice ambiance. Great location. Unfortunately COVID still has many restaurants closed or lacking staff but Cascade Village and a funky Nugget nearby were great. Olde Schoolhouse nearby has awesome pizza. Carryout recommended. We would definitely go back to this condo. Owners were great to work with. Becky and John Kolb

After 2 years of isolation from our family, we finally felt aligned to make a drive from northern Wisconsin to Purgatory Ski Resort to relive family trips of ski trips past that enjoyed as we raised our daughters. This VRBO choice was perfect for our family...2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 granddaughters (8 and almost 5) to enjoy Purgatory Ski Resort ski in and ski out in the perfect location for lifts 1 and 4. Great space to spread out with the lower level bedrooms and the upper living area and kitchen up. There were thoughtful games and activities both up and down. Electric fireplaces downstairs in the bedrooms were a great ambiance to gently warm the lower level the first night. There was ample aspen available for the fireplace up. The kitchen was well stocked. We all love to cook so it was well used...a bit tight to move around for more than 2 at a time -but functioned just fine. with practice. The condo had bathrooms up and down...and the laundry worked really well and was appreciated. We appreciated the outdoor locker space available and the picnic table courtyard at the entry. The grill worked well and the view of the mountains at aspen glow time was remarkable. Many special memories were made here for us. For that we are so grateful. Thumbs up and smiles! Thank you for sharing your great space.

Durango Dream Views comfortably accommodated our group of 4 adults and 2 teens. Our feedback is consistent with other recent reviews in terms of how well the unit is appointed, its functional space, overall cleanliness and, of course, the spectacular views. A perfect unit for a true ski in/ski out experience, with convenient storage for all of your ski equipment and accessories. I will note that we made frequent use of the electric fireplaces throughout the basement to keep the bedrooms warm at night. Lastly, communication with Jay and Jo Anne has been exceptional. We tried to stay at Dream Views in March 2020 but our travel plans were suddenly upended like many others’. Jay was extremely considerate, professional and responsive throughout an unusual and challenging situation. Communication leading up to our recent (successful!) stay was equally effective.

Perfect location!
We've been staying in this condo once a year for about 7 years now. Almost feels like our home away from home. The kids love to play in the snow right out the back door. This property is truly a ski in ski out. It's also just a short walk to Purgatory's dining and shopping. Can't wait for next year!

Jo Ann's & Jay's place is perfectly situated, strap on your skis/boards and head onto the lift. We would ski down to bunny lift to avoid walking to big lift 1. This was our first ski in & out and it's a huge difference convenience wise to not do that. You can cook (have crockpot going early am so all can come and go and eat as please:) There is a locker outside (with keys) to store your skis and board, we were able to fit in 2 snowboards, we took the other 2 pair of skis inside, keep em on tiled area. We only used the top patio, which goes out from living room, nice to relax and enjoy the views. The patio has a great working BBQ with all tools needed, plus extra propane tank. The kitchen is very well equipped, as I said, even crock pot, waffle maker, mixer for smoothies. Fridge is good size as well, no ice dispenser, so buy ice or fill the trays.
WATER: when using water to drink/eat (teas, soups, coffee, etc.) use bottled water, huge difference, for just boiling stuff, we used regular tab water. Also use bottled water for ice trays. Good selection of seasonings and non perishable food as well in pantry and fridge with condiments, that is how it was at our visit, we staid 7 days. It is in description that the bunk bed room is a walk-through, although I read that in the property description, I did not realize the extent of it, just fyi, they layout: Kitchen and bathroom with toilet/shower/tub upstairs, then stairs down - at bottom of stairs will be a curtain (not door), then you step into the bunkroom. To the right of curtain is the bathroom with sink and toilet and washer/dryer. From that bunkroom you can get through a door into master bathroom, there is also a short hallway from bunk room to the queen size bedroom and another door to the master bedroom. There is another patio outside of queen size bedroom, sits ground level. You have to walk through bunk room to get to any of these other rooms, was no big deal for us with teenagers. Each bedroom has amazing electric fireplaces, we used them a lot. Lots of extra bath towels if needed - we used the extra blankets on queen size bed to bring upstairs to couch, didn't see any others.
Beds are very comfy (everyone's favorite was actually the queen size one:) - nice linens and pillows - lights were dimable in queen size room and master, but not in bunk room, it's very bright, there is a night light (plug in) in that bunk room.

THE BEST ! Only Ski In & Out now, loved it
Jo Ann's & Jay's place is perfectly situated, strap on your skis/boards and head onto the lift.
