We really enjoyed our stay at Dimltris' place. The house is right on the water, with a fantastic view on Hydra and Dimitris was available whenever needed. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at the house. We were two families with small children and had a wonderful time staying by the beach. Would come back for sure in the future.

As close to the ocean as it gets
The house is full of charm, personality and warm atmosphere. We really enjoyed the stay and especially the proximity to the ocean, and the many flowers in the garden. How wonderful to start every morning by walking, with a cup of coffee, just 10 meters and then be in front of the sea.
Furthermore, Hydra island is very close - 10 minutes by car to the taxi boats and ferry tabour - and within 20 minutes sailing we were in Hydra. What a beautiful island! Really worth a visit.
Thanks to Dimitris, the owner of the house, we got many good advices about nearby tavernas, day trips etc. and his level of information and service to us both before and during the stay was excellent!

House Dimitrakakis is a very good place
We - six adults and three kids - stayed for two weeks in this lovely house. It was clean, well-equipped and spatious enough for all of us. But there two characteristics which make this place very special: The house has personality. You don't feel to enter one of this super monotonous and sterile hotel rooms. Instead you enter a house which is full of family history, a house with a living patina. The second point: Make three steps and you are in the sea. We enjoyed it most to go for swim whenever we felt to do so. The water is fantastic, you have an amazing view on Ydra and you are almost for your own. The few people you meet are very friendly neighbours. We left the house today and miss it right now.
One word to the host Dimitris Dimitrakakis: A very kind and trustworth person. If there is a question he will help immediately.
House Dimitrakakis? Full recommendation!

Lovely traditional greek house
To begin with we would like to thank Dimitri for the warm welcome. Dimitri was very helpful and always easy to reach for any given reason. We much appreciated the tips on where to go for supplies, food shopping, restaurants etc.
When it comes to the house itself just one word to describe it, Lovely.
It’s right on the beach. The proximity to the water is priceless. We spent every morning playing in the water with the kids. The afternoons we would go around sightseeing, however, certain days we didn’t move at all and enjoyed just being there, relaxing, playing board games and baking apricot pies.
The house is very spacious, there’s plenty of room for a large group of people.
There is everything one needs for cooking and baking in the kitchen. Plenty of kitchen utensils etc...
The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The living room opens directly into the main terrace facing the sea. There are different spots in the garden from where you can enjoy the sea view, have your meals or just have a glass of wine at the end of the day.
The location is perfect for visiting Peloponnese and the neighboring islands. We loved Hydra and Spetses. There are about three tavernas very close to the house. One offers very good meat and local dishes and the other two are more for enjoying fresh seafood and fish.
Ermioni is a beautiful little town at about 15-20 minutes ride from the house. Nice restaurants and souvenirs shops all over.
The whole family loved spending the holidays in Dimitri 's house and in this beautiful spot in Greece.
We highly recommend this place.

Wonderful holiday experience in June 2018
The house has a fantastic position at 10 meters from the beach! In front, there is the nice view of the islands of Hydra and Dokos. The house is very quiet and since there is no other nearby public access to the beach, it is practically reserved to the house.
The house has two nice and big terraces from which to enjoy the view and sound of the sea. It is fully equipped with everything you may need for the beach and for the kitchen. There is a wonderful gazebo at 2 meters from the beach where to relax reading a book or taking a drink.
The house is also very well located for a tour to some of the most important archaeological Greek tours as Micene, Tirinto, Argo, Epidaurus and it is 3 hours’ drive from Athens. We went by car to one of the peripheral underground stops of line 1 then taking the underground to visit Acropolis and Athens.
The house is in a countryside area with few rural buildings and some holiday’s villa in front of the sea: so the area is very quiet and ideal to relax. The closest village is Thermisia that is quite small. A bigger and very nice village is the one of Ermioni that is far 15 min. drive. Ermioni is very nice with his position on a peninsula over two bays with all services, markets and restaurants you may wish. Not far are is also the nice villages of Porto Cheli in front of the island of Spetses and Galata in front of Poros island.
So in conclusion, we (a couple and a child) had a very nice stay in the house with nice tours, we thank Dimitris for his warm welcome and kind availability and we would like to come back again!
