Where do I begin?? We are local to the area, but needed a house on the lake that would hold everyone that was coming in for a visit.
It had everything we needed, and the pictures did not do it justice! It is a quaint vintage home that is absolutely precious!
Being able to sit out in the water on your own sandy little beach is a rare find! The pool table and shelf full of games were a major plus as well.
Beyond happy with our stay!

My family and I booked this house last minute and were throughly impressed. Communication with the owners was easily five stars and so was the property! While to some the house may seem outdated, it was in excellent condition and gave us a nostalgic feeling all weekend. We loved the beach and the kids (6 and 2) had so much fun playing in the sand, playing board games, swimming, and resting. If I had to choose one thing I wish the house had that would be a king size bed, but for a quick weekend trip you really can’t beat this house or the location. We plan to come back!

Very nice, tidy house. Clean, great air conditioning. Older house in great condition!
The beach is a bonus! It’s like staying at the beach of an ocean without the sharks and the salt.

The house was impressively clean and well stocked . The beach area was perfect for the kids. For the younger ones there was plenty of shallow area to swim in the sandy river bottom.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. The location on the Llano arm of Lake LBJ is great. The water is navigable but there is not a ton of boat traffic this far upriver. There is a small beach area on the property where the kids could play and where we left our pontoon boat tied up overnight. There is ample parking, and the driveway is fairly easy to enter and exit with a boat trailer.
The house itself is retro-fabulous but seems well kept on the interior and generally clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. and leftover consumables from past guests. Accommodations are a little cramped for two families of four, but we made it work by relegating our teenage boys to the sofas. We did have some trouble with the hot water being unpredictable.
The biggest issue we had with this property was the lawn being overrun with grass burrs. It was nearly impossible to walk through the grass without them sticking to your shoes, socks, or skin (ouch!). We basically had to trespass on the neighbor's lawn to walk between the house and the lake. In addition to the grass burr issue, there was uncollected trash on the grounds and by the grill, and the grill itself was grungy and full of spent charcoal.
In summary, this little lake house has a lot going for it and is a good value. However, the condition of the grounds did not meet expectations and held it back from a five-star rating.

So much fun and enjoyed the private beach so much for our granddaughter!

We recently stayed at the lake house for Memorial Day weekend. The property was perfect for our party of four. The house was spacious and well-stocked with everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, a pool table, and a game room. The hike down to the lake was a bit of a challenge, but the views from the top were worth it. Once we got to the lake, we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The water temperature was perfect for swimming. Our dog loved playing in the water as much as we did. We would definitely stay at this property again.
Here are some of the things we loved about the lake house:
• The location: The house was located in a quiet neighborhood
• The amenities: The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
• The views: The views from the house were amazing. We could see the lake and the surrounding hill country.
• The access to the lake: The access to the lake was easy. There was a gentle slope down to the water, and there were tables and chairs set up for us to use.
• Our dog loved it: Our dog loved playing in the water as much as we did. There was plenty of room for him to run and play.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the lake house in Kingsland, Texas. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway.

The house was clean, and although it definitely looked retro, it felt well taken care of. The view was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time.

Great weekend
The house was great. It was clean and had everything we needed. Our only frustration was one day the number of boats that came up and parked right on top of us! Other than some rude people we encountered, our stay was fantastic! We will come again, just not on such a busy weekend!

Everything we needed
We stayed in at this property for 5 nights during the week. We had 3 adults and 3 children in our group and the home worked perfectly for us. While the property is vintage, it is exceptionally clean! The twin bunk room worked well for my kids and the third bedroom was great for my friend and her toddler. I also enjoyed having a second bath in the master. I will say the beds were very firm so I would suggest a topper to soften it a but. The master shower is was very small for my 6'4" husband but this is due to the age of the home. Outside the home we loved the back porch for morning coffee or an evening drink. The beach area was perfect for our kids and we were able to leave our pontoon boat beached for our stay. The driveway was long and had plenty of room for our boat trailer. We even went down to the crossing and played in the current called slide rock for a bit. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake, this is a great property!

We love the vintage home setting.
The kids had a great time in the kayaks! Fishing and swimming! We all enjoyed the home. It was like being home away from home! The only thing that is needing anything is the mattress. It was real firm. Maybe add a bed topper to help. Overall it was awesome! We can’t wait to go back!!

Beach Beach Beach
This is our 2nd time staying at this house. There are 8 adults and we loved it. The sandy beach is in the back yard and the water is really clean with a sandy bottom. We spent a lot of time on the back porch looking at the water. It is very relaxing.

Beautiful location, very clean house
The large open living area was great for our group. The sandy beach was a great hang out on the water's edge. The water view from the house is amazing.

Summer fun at the lake
We were two families with kids from 6 to 17 and we had a blast. The house has everything you need, it’s own beach where we could swim and beach the pontoon we rented. Tons of games and the pool table made evening time fun. We had a great stay!

Great location on the lake
The house is vintage, but probably the cleanest place that we have ever seen. The location is great. I highly recommend staying here.

Great house on the water
What a great place to stay, right on the water. We didn't catch any fish but it wasn't from lack of trying! The house has everything you need for your stay. The neighborhood is quiet and because the house sits back from the road, you don't hear any cars at night. My family loved having a pool table and played for hours at night! We are already planning to go back next summer. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

A much needed break
We needed a change of scenery, but wanted to stay socially distant and this was a great choice. The beach entry allowed easy access to kayaking/paddle boarding/fishing. The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were perfect for my family of four. Plenty of games to play and movies to watch when not in the water. There were definitely burrs, so wear shoes down to the water.

Great Beach
This was better than described. The house was fully stocked from toliet paper, papertowels, plenty of towels, dishes, etc... The best part was the private beach. The water has a sandy bottom and it was really clean. We really had the best time. Thank you so much for renting us your house.
Thank you

Beach front home
The house has an open layout and is nice.
The AC works great . The view of the lake is incredible with a sandy beach and nice sandy swimming area shallow enough for children. Very peaceful with a nice quiet atmosphere.

Simple and clean
This was just a perfect house for a great lake retreat! Plenty of room to spread out and have fun. Loved the beach area at lakes edge. Mattresses were a bit hard, so some moved to the couches to sleep. Everything else was good!

Easy Getaway!
This very cute house was perfect for our family getaway. Our Quaranteam was 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 4-6). The lake is warm and shallow, the house is clean and comfortable, and we all had a great time! Access to the kayaks was a big plus, we used them a lot.
Couple things to note that aren't the owner's fault but are good to know! The lawn/hill down to the water is positively covered in burrs/stickers. You 100% have to wear shoes up and down the hill and those little boogers are painful. Secondly, we thought (from the photos) that the kids' room with bunk beds had 2 bunks with 4 beds total. It's one bunk, two beds. We doubled kids up and used an additional futon mattress that was provided on the floor but just in case anyone else makes the same mistake wanted to make it clear. This was our fault for not reading closely.
The Kingsland HEB is SUPER close, so you can easily do your shopping when you get to the house rather than carrying out there with you.
We rented a boat at Splash! up the road and had an awesome time tubing for 4 hours.
Kitchen came stocked with pots/pans/cooking supplies and a few things like oil and spices which were really helpful.
Owners were super nice and communicative before and during. Thanks very much for a lovely stay!

Perfect socially-distanced getaway
Our family had a great stay at this nice home, directly on the water. The best part is the beach, which is basically private. We saw lots of boats and water skiers, which was fun for the kids, but got to keep our distance. The house comes with all of the amenities you could need - even a great beach wagon. We brought our own umbrella (a must) and floats, but the house actually had some cute floats we could use. We would definitely stay here again.

Great relaxing place for the family
Our family had a great time. The beach was nice and great for swimming. The house was clean and Jim answered all of our questions quickly ahead of check-in. Our kids had a blast and we will definitely be back!

Great for a family
The location was great and loved the private beach like setting. We spent most of our time in the water which is exactly what we wanted. The house had what you needed. We brought food and grilled all our meals since we were trying to keep social distance. On our last day we rented a jet ski from a nearby place. Once again convenient and easy to keep social distance. I definitely recommend.

Wedding Week
We rented this house and another one a few doors down for our son's wedding week. The girls stayed in The Hideaway. It was a great home. The owners went out of their way to make it special for my daughter in law and her bridal party. The water on the Llano is beautiful. Our great neighbor, Bret, who helps guest at the two houses was also awesome. Everything from our stay, to the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding were perfect. Thank you so much!!

Very nice lake house
