Local Activities
Beach Blanket Babylon is a short walk to Boomer Beach and the scenic coastal walking track which winds its way around the coast to popular Horseshoe bay. For the beach lovers and surfers there is a hot/cold outdoor shower to rinse the sand when you get home.
Port Elliot is a small seaside holiday destination for both local and international tourists and is an ideal spot to watch the Southern Right Whales cavorting in the bay.
Also a short walk to the historic township of Port Elliot and its cafe's and restaurants. Favourites of ours are the magnigicent Hotel Elliot a fun place for quality food & a beer garden, and Crisp an upmarket restauranteith fab food & great wine list. Don’tmiss it, book ahead! There are also numerous breakfast cafe's, if you want to grab a coffee and read the paper. Cockles on the corner of Main Street has great meals, Beaches vegetarian cafe is close by & so good, Yeo Haus for hole in the wall coffee, DeGroot for the coffee aficionado & The Port Elliot Bakery! This bakery is an institution, with summer line ups out the door & down the street... the donut of the month is not to be missed!
Horseshoe Bay is a lovely protected beach for the kids to swim and play on the playground, and is home to The Flying Fish, a wonderful cafe selling ocean front fish and chips, icecreams & drinks - make sure to pop in, its a popular place!
You are a short drive to a number of local towns including Victor Harbor, Middleton surf beaches and Goolwa.
Port Elliot offers plenty to do, but make sure to leave plenty of time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. You can cook up a storm in the kitchen its not far to shops where you can buy gourmet foods, organic produce and fresh meats.
There are also plenty of places for some retail shopping therapy.
Port Elliot is only an hour south of Adelaide and is located between the 2 seaside towns of Victor Harbor and Goolwa, and both are worth a trip. The old Cockle Train or 'Steam Ranger' runs along the coast and is a fun family outing. It leaves from Goolwa and travels through Port Elliot to Victor Harbor during school holidays and most weekends over peak season.

We love staying at this house. It's huge - with enough bedrooms for everyone and their friends, 2 big living areas 2 outdoor areas & 3 bathrooms. It's very well appointed with lots of pantry items in a well stocked kitchen, the table tennis table for the kids and comfortable couches. It's close to Boomer Beach and the main street, but is also tucked away at the end of a no through road so it's quiet. We've already stayed a couple of times and will be back

House was well appointed with crockery and cooking utensils. Great to have 2 living spaces with teens and parents! Everything was as described and we couldn't have been happier. Modern, clean and comfortable. Host was easily accessible, helpful and responsive which was appreciated. Thankyou Leanne.

Lovely stay in this well located, spacious house, with plenty of room to move for our family, both inside and out.
Well stocked kitchen with all the staples. Nice bedrooms with comfy beds all round.
Could do with a vacuum under the couches and beds but otherwise a beautiful clean and tidy house to spend time away with a big group.

So impressed. Better than expected.
Short walk to the beach.
Your luxe holiday home has all the trimmings. The kids loved the table tennis. I loved sitting outdoors under the fairy lights with a glass of red, it definitely had a feel to it. Kitchen came with everything. Big bathrooms and plenty of space. A huge yard for my fur baby and Thank you for allowing us to bring our fur baby; she had a ball. Will definitely return

This is by far the best property we have stayed in in years of family beach side holidays. It is a mere 5 min walk to the beach which was quiet for early morning dog walks. The kitchen and 2 lounges are light filled with views to the garden and two outdoor seating areas, all provided plenty of space for groups to separate. The teens enjoyed the table tennis table and I loved the big dining table which accommodated all of us for dinner. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathrooms are new and spacious and to crown it all the beds were very comfy. Pretty perfect I would say. Thanks for a lovely stay.
