Loved staying at Jennifer’s house in the middle of the woods at Bryce Resort. So close to nature with deers and chipmunks around in the area. The house is spacious for a family of 5 with three teenage kids.
All facilities where available to use and communicating with Jennifer was easy. Would highly recommend this house if you want to relax in the nature and explore this part of Virginia

Clean and comfortable house in the woods. Great, large, deck with a view of the mountains and sunsets. Host was very available, responsive, and friendly. Great choice if you want a quiet vacation.
4.8
The house was perfect! It was very clean and in a great location where the golf course is just walking distance away. Jennifer was a great host and was always available when I had a question.

This house was the relaxing place we needed after staying the night before in a noisy hotel. The area was really nice. The house was beautiful. The owner was great about getting back to me when I messaged them prior to booking. Really great experience!

This was a one-night stay to break up our long drive to another location. Everything was as advertised. It was evident that the owners take great pride in this house. Everything was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend!

The stay was great!

Enjoyed a relaxing 3 days on way home from Williamsburg. Place was great. Did a few road trips to wineries, caverns and plantations. Only thing that was disappointing was that we didn’t bring the golf clubs. Great looking golf course 1/2 mile down the road.

This was a nice rental. It is really better fitted for 6-8 people/adults. We had ten adults and it was really tight. The communications with the owner is wonderful; they are very nice. They did a great job putting together a binder and guidebook. The location is good and near lots of fun things (we did a good hike and had a nice visit to a winery). The place is not very clean (there was old food left under the dining room table, the tops of the shower have been left uncleaned for a while, and the beds had not be mopped/swept under in a while given the amount of dust and dirt), but for a rustic getaway, it's not too bad. The bunk beds are seriously damaged and felt like they were about to fall apart. Overall, we had a good time, but will look for a larger place in the future. This would be a good choice for a small family on a budget looking for a beautiful deck and nice surroundings.

The house was perfect for our weekend with family. There was so much natural light and the fireplace, with firewood provided, was really nice. We enjoyed Shenandoah Caverns, a hike around Laura Lake, and the Rt. 11 Chip Factory.

We found the cottage very peaceful and well equipped. Location is great as it is just a short walk to the ski area. My chef husband had lots of fun in the kitchen. Even though it was very cold the house was cozy and warm.
I do recommend the listing include a statement saying 4 wheel drive is required if there is any snow. The road the house is location on was plowed but not treated, so it was very icy.

My family decided at the last minute to visit Bryce for the holiday. We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner had a Christmas tree up and bottle of wine for us. The kitchen was nice and fully stocked, bathrooms were old and could use an update especially if you want to place a luxury tag on the property. Not sure if property had been used or extensively cleaned in a while but there were huge spider webs hanging from chandelier and in multiple corners and doors. Proximity to Bryce Resort was great. We walked one day. Overall property was nice and served our purpose.

Host was very responsive and the place was fantastic! Super close to the ski resort!

It as great

Location is close to many attractions and trail heads. Cabin was not very clean when we arrived but not terrible.
4.8
We enjoyed the view from the large deck, the fire pit, and the location, just 2 blocks from Bryce Resort. Our group of 7 had plenty of room to move about inside. The host was awesome and we plan to book this property again!

Great place, highly recommend!

Lovely, cozy home in the mountains. Lots to do in the area but also perfect for just sitting and letting nature absorb your stress

This was such a beautiful place to stay only wish I had a longer time to enjoy the property and location. My son had a great 15th birthday and the property is such a unique cute cabin vibe that we were hoping for. Great communication with host and very accomodating.

This is the most throughout, complete, comfortable property we have stayed at on the east coast from GA to ME. The hostess was amazing. Immediate responses to any of our questions before or after we arrived. The cabin was perfect. Great location, easy to get to and easy to travel around the area and get back to. I have to mention the bed in the master bedroom. It was even more comfortable than the bed we have at home!! Stay here the first chance you get.

Had a great time, Jennifer was super helpful and response. The place is in great shape and we really enjoyed our stay

My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary and we had a great time! The property is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our coffee and books, and roasting s'mores over the fire pit. The location is good for local hikes, and for a relatively short drive to Shenandoah National Park (less than an hour, and a very scenic drive). We enjoyed the local restaurants such as RHouse Wine & Cafe and Freed's Biscuit Company, as well as Cave Ridge Vineyard! Jennifer was very pleasant and easy to get a hold of. She responded quickly to all of my emails and made us feel very welcome.
My only complaint, aside from the house being a little dusty, is of the house policy requiring guests to make all their own beds upon arrival. It is unreasonable to require this, especially after a long day of travel. Additionally, the sheets provided for our bed were the wrong size. I do not understand the reason for this policy and I strongly recommend it be changed.

Beautiful house with a beautiful scenery.
Only downside house gets hot with just two window units

We enjoyed a nice weekend getaway. Very close to Bryce Resort and Lake Laura. Canoed, hiked, and enjoyed local wineries. House was the perfect size for adult family member of 5—could’ve comfortably housed more. Enjoyed campfires in the evening. Short drive from DMV area.

We loved our stay at the Mills Family Lodge - The space is as advertised: spacious, comfortable, very clean and well equiped, very close to main resort (a few minutes walk), with a huge lovely deck off main living space, and even has a handy "book" of rules/suggestion/important information related to the stay. We are definitely planning on returning!

Overall we had a good experience.Jennufet did a great job providing the cabin app.She was very responsive .Cabin was spacious enough for 6 of us and acceptable clean.Kitchen is well equiped and we found everything we needed .Suggestion would be bedrooms downstairs to have AC units and the charcoal grill could be replaced with something better. We decided not to use it .Otherwise all good.Thank you Jennifer for your great hospitality.

Well maintained.
very quiet place

We were moving back to VA from NYC and wanted a couple of days to unwind while the movers delivered our stuff and that’s exactly what we got! The cabin was spacious, clean, and quiet and feels secluded with the surrounding trees.

We had a great stay. The property was clean and spacious.

Very cute house that works for a long weekend with teens. Hiking everyday and swimming in the river.
Only thing would recommend more fans because the wall AC not very strong.

we spent a long weekend at the cabin with our family and we loved it! the host is very responsive and extremely nice! I would love to go back one day.

The place was perfect for our small gathering of friends. Check-in was super simple and the digital guidebook had everything we needed to know about the place and surrounding area.
Our only suggestion would be to let guests know that there is a charcoal grill. We were able to run out and get charcoal but would have packed some prior had we known we would need it. Overall a great stay!

Very nice cozy cabin. We had a great time

Was traveling with siblings and parents and had to scramble to find last minute place to stay. Jennifer was very helpful, friendly and quick to respond and accommodate us. Very comfortable bedrooms and common area and deck lovely. Wish had cooler weather to enjoy fire inside and/or out. Only potential issue is not particularly soundproof. We are all early risers so not a problem. Otherwise highly recommend!

Although we didn't arrive unil dark and had to cut our trip short by leaving at dawn (dental emergency!), this seemed to be a lovely home. The house itself is really stunning, and I wish we could have enjoyed it for longer! There were quite a few flying bugs and spiders when we first checked in that scared the daylights out of our 9 year old, but that is to be expected in a mountain home! We'd love to stay again when we aren't exhausted from road trip driving and don't have a dental emergency! :) Thanks for being great hosts.
