About this house rental
This two storey classic beach house has sun drenched, open plan living areas with high ceilings, flowing onto a large deck, ideal for relaxing and soaking up the views to the beach and of the natural bushland around. With plenty of opportunity to catch even the slightest cooling ocean breezes in summer, and reverse cycle air conditioning, you will never get too hot. And in winter, being north facing, the sun streams through the large windows each morning to warm the house quickly, lasting all day. The heating systems makes this home quite cosy during the winter months.
The two bedrooms upstairs, one with queen bed, the other with two singles, have built in robes, ceiling fans and bush views. The bathroom and separate toilet complete the fit out upstairs. Downstairs, the third bedroom and rumpus area, with two singles and a double sofa, has its own bathroom, and is ideal for those who want additional privacy in their own retreat, or to give the kids some extra freedom in their own space. Please note, that there are no internal stairs to the downstairs area. The yard is fully fenced.
With plenty of off street parking, including space for boats etc and with a covered parking space, there will be no hot cars in summer - not that you need a car when you're here. The dog friendly Malua Bay beach is only a casual, easy and level 2 minute stroll away, and is often patrolled during the summer months. McKenzies Beach is a few minutes stroll in the other direction. Local shops and restaurants at Malua are within easy walking distance. Tennis courts across the road, and plenty of opportunity for bush walking and mountain biking within 100m.
There is an outdoor shower - hot and cold - for convenience, and the large yard is fully fenced, great for kids or pets. There is a gas BBQ on the deck, plenty of board games and reading materials for most tastes plus a wide variety of music.
The local family of kookaburras will usually join you for happy hour snacks on the deck prior to sunset, along with an array of other birds.
This home oozes relaxation and enjoyment, care free times to enjoy the surrounds being as active or not as you want to be.
This is not your average house by the beach, it is a great beach house ready for you to create your own memories here, just bring your own linen, food and sense of adventure!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Beachburra. The house is very well equipped and has such a cosy and welcoming vibe. The kids loved exploring the backyard and being so close to the beach and playground. The outside shower was very handy (with warm water too!) The whole family enjoyed the cool afternoon breezes on the balcony. Overall was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We loved the upstairs deck for escaping the sun, and the downstairs room for the kids to be. The house has everything you need is surprisingly more spacious and well equipped for your family holiday. Thankyou

An excellent property in an excellent location. Property was as described, very clean and close to beach. Fenced back garden is ideal for pets. Owners were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend and stay again.

Lovely well equipped house
Suited our needs perfectly and we loved every minute of our stay. Close walk to surf beach, dog and shops, short drive to great kayaking spots and beaches that the holiday dog was allowed off leash on. The house itself is well equipped for cooking and we enjoyed the large range of books, board games and cd’s. Well fenced yard for the dog and he loved following the sun from different decks and rooms to snooze in. Quite possible the 2 legged visitors enjoyed likewise! Thank you Emma for a lovely stay in your house and for being so easy to communicate with.

Great getaway
Wonderful property with everything you need for a relaxing break away. Ideal location with a short walk to the beach and shops. The balcony is a great place to enjoy breakfast or a late afternoon beverage and take in the view. The dogs had a great time too!! Hoping to come back soon.

Fantastic dog-friendly beach house!
Had a wonderful 2-night stay at Emma and Nick’s beach house just before Christmas. The house was well appointed, clean and in a fantastic location a short walk from Malua Bay beach. Emma and Nick left very clear check in instructions and were happy for us to bring our dog with us. I can thoroughly recommend the house and would happily stay again.

Perfect holiday house!
Beautiful little beach house, sunny and comfortable, great location, lovely hosts, hot shower, comfortable beds, fully-fenced and delightful backyard for dogs and kids. I cannot fault this holiday house! My favourite aspect is the deck - it gets the morning sun and is perfect to relax and read book and drink coffee on. The downstairs apartment is cosy and perfect for teenagers who need their own space. Highly recommend!

This property is utterly beautiful. It’s in a great location, a short walk to the beach and the hosts are terrific. We were unfortunately only there for a short stay but could have stayed for much much longer. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you Emma and Nick.

Great little gem
A perfect place for a family holiday. Very clean and well set up with everything you could need or want. Sitting on the front deck getting the sea breeze and watching the waves crash on the Malua headlands and having a drink was our favourite time of day. Our little dog loved the backyard and our teenage son loved his own space down stairs. Would highly recommend this great little gem in Malua Bay

Perfect family getaway
The house had everything our family of 5 needed. We visited in July and the heating worked really well when needed (which wasn't often). Only problem was that our 5 month old toy poodle could squeeze through the fence, but I hope the yard will be secure for him when he's fully grown as I'd really like to return to this house. The house was also clean with no doggy smell.

Great little place
Had a great stay here. Location is perfect, it really is only a 200m walk to the beach and you catch a glimpse of the water from the balcony. Everything you could want for your stay is stocked in the house including condiments, washing powder, cleaning products, garbage bags and the list goes on....even poo bags for your pup. Highly recommend.

Lovely beach cottage
Our family spent Christmas at this property and had everything we needed for a great stay. The cottage is well provisioned, decorated sweetly, and larger than it looks in photos. Our teens enjoyed having their own space on the ground level. We appreciated the affordability of this summer stay as well as the large fenced in back garden for the dog, outdoor shower, all the games/puzzles/books and walking distance to both main beach and dog friendly beach. Also easy walk to the local shops. We spent every evening on the front deck with view down to the beach, watching the birds, including the curious kookaburra and chatty rainbow lorikeets. Communication with Emma was great from start to finish. We will be back.

Just what you need for a classic beach holiday!
First impressions didn't lie: this classic old style beach bungalow was lovely to stay in. The upstairs open plan lounge, dining and kitchen looked down the road at the beach, which was less than five minutes walk away! Set up high at just the right angle to beat the summer sun, the house had a lovely aspect, with a front verandah complete w bbq and a small back porch that's perfect to watch sunset from. The back garden was spacious and the cleverly screened outdoor shower/fernery was a really hit with everyone (Hot water! Luxury). The yard was fully fenced, so perfect for pooches - tiny pups might need some portable temp fencing at the front to be extra sure, but the yard was spacious and good for running and exploring. Downstairs was cool and private with separate shower and living area - great parent/dog retreat! The whole place was very handy to the beach and the local shops plus some lovely dog walking spots and other lovely beaches just down the road. A real treat!
