We had the best time at the Old Rope Works. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and quiet. We met Mike at check in and he was very gracious and made sure we had everything we needed.
We loved hearing the Severn Valley steam train now and again and enjoyed relaxing in the sunlit living room. We both worked and there was plenty of space for that while the kids were upstairs watching tv so we all could spread out. This was one of our favorite properties we've rented in England and would highly recommend it!

We stopped for two nights after Christmas, 5 people and two dogs and the cottage was perfect for our needs. The owners were very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to meet. The location is perfect for the Severn Valley Railway, Bewdley station is a short walk away and you can watch the trains from the cottage as they pass over the brick viaduct a short distance away - Steam trains at night are quite magical. The cottage is well equipped and nice and warm with the under floor heating. Being a log burner fan it would be the icing on the cake if the log burner in the lounge was recommissioned to complete the cosy feel (this of course may not be possible). The bathroom is amazing, the en-suite is a little on the small side but a triumph fitted in where it is. You are a short walk away from Bewdley town centre which has everything you could need as well as direct access to walking routes along the Severn Valley - we recommend walking to Arley (4 miles) or Highley (7.5 miles) and catching the steam train back to Bewdley. A lovely cottage which we highly recommend.

No hesitation with tens all the way.
No hesitation with tens all the way. We visited Bewdley for a quiet 60th Birthday celebration, mine :-).
The house was far above the norm that we expect. The facilities are very good, nothing missing that you would require for a comfortable week. The changeover was very in-depth and helpful and the owners very pleasant to deal with. We especially liked the outdoor seating area which is very pleasant to sit in for hours, especially with wine :-).
Bewdley is a very short walking distance away, about ten mins walk. Its a small town but has everything to hand. A few pubs, try the "Mug House pub" by the river Severn; great walks in the nearby forest or up alongside the river. The people are very friendly and anyone who catches your eye will say hello. Please don't tell too many people, because we want to come back again :-). Keith and Christine.

Lovely cottage and a great welcome from the owner, welcome pack including bread, milk and wine, and the little things such as a dog bowl left for your use. Everything in the cottage is first class except for the teeny tiny en suite off the master bedroom. The beds are wonderfully large and comfortable, the cottage us spotless and the courtyard is a great area to sit in the sunshine.

We had a lovely time at this cottage. It has lots of character and feels quite luxurious. We were able to take mountain bikes and store them safely in a utility area. Sheltered garden that is very private. You can see the steam trains from the lounge window. I could go on! Thank You for the friendly welcome, lovely flowers and other goodies. I am sure we will return.

We had a lovely time during our stay at The Old Rope Works. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival - thank you for the welcome pack. Not only were we made to feel like valued guests, but the owners went out of their way to accommodate our lovely 3 poochies, with bowls and blankets available for their use. The area is wonderful and the cottage, completely beautiful. The bathroom is stunning and it was a delight to see and hear the steam trains. We will be sure to return, we needed much longer really. Thank you so much Mike & Natasha.
Bless you both.

A fantastic cottage, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Hosts were very friendly and helpful both over the telephone and in person. Nice extras hamper including fruit and wine. Perfect location, just a five minute walk over the bridge to the beautiful town of Bewdley. Also very close to other local attractions, safari park just a five minute drive away. All in all we had a fantastic family weekend in the Old Rope Works cottage and have already booked again for the same time next year. Can’t wait to return, we loved it!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Rope Works.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Rope Works. Mike and Natasha were generous hosts who had thought of everything, and the house was interesting, comfortable and very clean. Beds were comfy and quiet, everything worked including the wifi, and although the house is just off a road into town, there was no traffic noise indoors nor in the walled courtyard, just the wonderful sound of steam trains on the viaduct during the day. It all felt very luxurious - especially the mood lights in the beautiful bathroom - just what you need for a break. Bewdley had lots to offer besides the safari park and the steam trains. The house was close enough to the Severn to walk down and enjoy the riverbanks and the town. Bewdley Museum was really impressive (and free), we found an excellent farm shop, ate at the Thai restaurant and sampled some local ales. Wyre Forest is close by, further afield Wenlock Edge has lovely walks, and we went up to Dudley to the Canal Trust and Black Country Living Museum. We could have found plenty more to do. All in all, a really good place to be.
