Very happy with the stay. Cabin was very clean and well stocked.

The cabin had more amenities than we needed. The bed and futon were very comfortable. The kitchen was clean and everything worked well!
The location was within easy walking distance of downtown and driving distance of all the places we wanted to visit like Custer State Park and Black Elk Peak. There was a grocery store practically in the back yard.

We had a great time visiting the Black Hills and basing out of our cabin in Custer. It was quiet and relaxing.

We really enjoyed our three nights in the trout cabin. Everything was very clean, the grocery store was convenient to access, we loved the bed, the patio was great, and having cable was a nice touch these days when typically it's just the Roku. We met lovely neighbors next door and enjoyed talking with them outside around the fire. Custer was a great central location! I'd stay here again and recommend it to others!

Kitchen had everything needed and a few extras but lighting was weak there and in living space. Futon couch could be more comfortable. Bedroom was great with lots of room and storage. Outside was really nice with table and comfortable chairs and umbrella. Parking was very convenient. Loved location close to restaurants and shops but residential. Had three young deer in yard one evening.

Cabin check in was easy, clean and very good location, timely communication with host. We could hear people in adjoining cabin but all was quiet by 10:30 pm. 2 adults fit nicely, more would be tight unless small children.

Great little cabin in excellent location. Everything you need and super clean. Walls are a bit thin, so if you’re a light sleeper be aware.

We loved our stay at Ponderosa Place! It was very clean and centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit. Crystal was very responsive when I had a question .

We loved our weeklong stay at Ponderosa Place, so much so that we've already rebooked for next year. This is an ideal location - close enough to walk to downtown restaurants but far enough away for a quiet night's rest. (Bonus: no light pollution in this quiet neighborhood - the stars are brilliant at night!)
Our cabin was quite comfortable and well appointed. I appreciated that there was a hair blowdryer in the bathroom. My husband and I both appreciated the coffeemaker and Folgers coffee each morning. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sunshine. We locked up our bikes to the 'hitching post' out front - quite convenient.
Crystal is a gem! She helped us check in early and explore other cabin options for next year's stay. This is a five star stay; you won't find a better place in Custer.

Cabin is definitely too small for four people, unless it may be 2 adults and 2 small kids. Otherwise, it was clean and nice.

This was a great experience!! The only thing better than the accommodations was the hostess!!! Everything was in perfect order and spotless. This will be my go to in the future!! Thank you so much👍👍❤️

Very clean and easy to get to. Comfortable.

Perfect space for two. Just be aware the cabin shares a wall with another cabin, so be mindful of noise. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.

We were there off season, so it was lightly filled. A beautiful location with great views easily walkable in a small town. Very close to Bighorn National forest and the mountains.

We found this quaint cabin roomy and comfortable for the two of us. Conveniently located close to grocery store and Main Street with shopping and restaurants. Mickelson bike trail within blocks. Only con is on busy street with road noise and barking animals in neighborhood.
Nice kitchenette with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay. Clean with comfortable bed. If looking for a place with a kitchen to cook in, this one is a little small. Easy check in. Within 15 minutes of Custer state park, Sylvan Lake, hiking in the Black Hills, or a couple blocks from downtown Custer. We would stay again if we are in the area.

We utilized & appreciated the small kitchenette and the front patio. Queen bed was very comfortable. We had ample room to park our vehicle and motorcycle trailer. Easy walking distance to downtown Custer. 1 block from the beautiful Mickelson bike trail. We would highly recommend Ponderosa Place.

Though it was a great stay, the cabin is a bit smaller than it appears online. My wife and I were going to stay originally, but we ended up bringing our grown son. It was really too small for the three of us, but we made it work (our son said the futon was comfortable!)The host, Crystal, was wonderful to work with! The location is awesome for all nearby attractions, with very easy access to Custer.
