Come relax in our charming 1904 apartment in Demorest directly across from Piedmont University. Spend the day in the North GA mountains & stay warm & cozy at night. Wake to coffee of your choice & homemade muffins. You'll love being so close to waterfall hikes, local wineries, Tallulah Falls and The Gorge, Appalachian Trail, Piedmont College, Alpine Helen, zip-lining, etc.
This is a 1 bedroom apartment with the warmth of a historic property that has been completely modernized and beautifully decorated. This apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furbabies. Anyone wanting a comfy rest at the end of a day of activities.
With a full subway-tiled kitchen you can cook fresh eggs in the morning from my chickens, enjoy your choice of coffee from the keurig, and butter a fresh baked treat left for each guest. Or have a wonderful weekend brunch at Sweetbreads just across the street from the house.
Cable Tv via Hulu, as well and Prime, Netflix and internet. Super comfy bed ( with excellent quality sheets as any Southern lady would fix a bed) . Classic black and white tiled bathroom and everything steam cleaned in between each guest. This place is great for Piedmont parents, day-hikers, or contractors working in the area.
This is one of two completely separate apartments in this house, so consider the 2 bedroom apartment if you're traveling with extended family and need a separate space at the same location. Perfect for visiting your Piedmont student with the grandparents along as well.

I was traveling alone for work; felt so safe and completely at home. Love Demorest and surrounding towns. Great part of the world-especially if you like waterfalls!

Super clean, affordable, relaxing and then some! Carmen is a world class host! Lot of goodies, and everything you could ever need is stocked there! The apartment is adorable and the grounds incredible! The best rental we have ever had! Carmen has raised the standard for hosts! A super relaxing week and looking forward to our next visit! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The host went to great lengths to keep the original feel and look of the home, circa 1904. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a great place to unwind.

This was my second time staying with this host. I've stayed in their upstairs apt and this trip, their downstairs apt. Both are comfy, cozy, cute, and stocked with the yummiest treats. I hope this will not be my last stay at one of these adorable apt's.

Tomlinson House was the perfect place for our short stay in Demorest. It was just a short walk to Piedmont University to watch our great nephew play baseball. So many goodies left for us by the host! We would definitely stay again.

Truly a home away from home…such a comfortable place to stay. Shopping is convenient and also so easy to get to many great places to hike. Carmen adds the cherry on top with her thoughtful touches that are delights.

Property even better than described, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Lots of wonderful "extras" were so appreciated- eggs, coffee cake, bagels, etc!! By far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in!! Will definately be back. We were in a long pickup so the parking was a bit tight but we managed by pulling in at an angle with still room for second vehicle. Very quiet also. Visited the coffee shop and gallery-both very nice!!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The host really went the extra mile. Her communication was awesome and providing eggs, bread and other goodies were so thoughtful. The house was in a very convenient location to see all the small towns of North East Ga , and the home was comfortable and inviting.

Tomlinson House is always my first choice when visiting my daughter at Piedmont. The location is perfect and Carmen has given so much wonderful attention to all details. I love to travel with my dogs and they feel just as at home at Tomlinson House as I do! From the farm fresh eggs (from her chickens!), the breakfast casserole in the freezer for easy heating, to baked goods, coffee, dog treats, doggie shampoo, comfy bed...everything feels comforting, cozy and pampering. And CLEAN!!! It's truly the best.

Lovely house, inside and out. Anything you could ever need was furnished. Carmen and Jason both are super sweet people. Highly recommend staying here. Just wish we could have tried all the goodies (food) she provided. Great cook! We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area!

This was one of the most exceptional and professional vacation rentals I have encountered. From the informational communication, such as the forecast for our stay and things to do in the area, to the high-end little touches throughout the rental, everything was top notch. Very nice home with a lot of welcoming touches. Conveniently located with two restaurants, a coffee shop, and an art gallery just a few steps around the corner. And the attractions of the North Georgia mountains are just a drive away. Thank you, Carmen, for hosting us!

Wonderful Stay
The house was clean, cool, and tastefully decorated. There was a coffee shop and brunch place right in front of the house. I wholeheartedly recommend you stay here for your trip.

Coming back for sure!
Carmen and the Tomlin House were unexpected gems for us. This is our first time using a VRBO and Carmen was helpful in making it so easy for us. Super communication from her. The apartment in Tomlin House was perfect for us and our cat, Eve. Though something most people don't need, Eve has asthma (therefore the need to travel with us), and the cleanliness of Tomlin House was "purrfection" for an asthmatic kitty!
Carmen's attention to detail went above and beyond, even down to kitty treats in a jar for our girl. The fresh eggs from Carmen's chickens, the fresh-baked blueberry coffeecake, the breakfast casserole, as well as all the other extras were amazing and made out stay so much better. The convenience to Temperance Coffee House and Sweet Breads was nice as was the little street for taking a walk.
I wish I could give higher stars for Carmen and Tomlin House. We felt so very spoiled and our cat was for sure! Thank you, Carmen, for making our stay so special, giving us such a wonderful place to stay. You are a rock star!

Carmen was the loveliest host! The Tomlinson house was in a beautiful location, the house itself was sweet and cozy. We stayed there in preparation for our wedding and it was a great little getaway!

I loved everything. The moment I arrived, the owner was finishing up. It was nice to meet her. She did a good job with stocking and supplying the things in her rental. She provided breakfast goods, snacks and drinks. Well stocked with everything else you would need for your stay. She provided a book with nearby restaurants and attractions that you can explore along with maps to those locations. This was one of the most complete travel experiences that I've had in a long time. Its makes you rethink staying at hotels and just renting homes instead. With all this scare of covid19 and hotels not providing amenities but still charging you as you're still receiving them, you get more personalized attention and supplies and comfortable stay. I do recommend anyone in this area to choose this place, you won't be disappointed.
