The hotel is a renovated chateau in a beautiful setting in a central are of the Dordogne. It is very well equipped and furnished. We stayed in the annex. The breakfast buffet offered variety and quality, in a room of the chateau with lovely views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is hard to beat for a memorable stay in the Dordogne. There was a high rated restaurant on site but didn’t eat there.
The temperature in our room overnight was too hot. We set the room air conditioner to 19, and even though it was 16 outside, the room was uncomfortably warm for sleeping.

Good base to explore Dordogne valley
Limited menu at the restaurant which was always fully booked.

Ideally located, it is a beautiful place to stay in and it is quiet. We stayed there for a week with our children. It was perfect for a family : quiet, plenty space for the children without compromising with elegance, glam and comfort.
The staff doesn’t always respond to call for drink service around the area. We had to give up multiple times.
As we stayed for a week it would have been nice if the restaurant had changed their menu.

Hidden gem so close to all the beauty of the area, attractions and in itself a fabulous spot
Nothing. Perhaps they didn’t tell us th w restaurant is perhaps not the best for young children

Everything was very well maintained. Restaurant was very good. Not 5 star but easily 4
nothing really except difficult to get ice for drinks before 6pm. We did get some ice eventually but it was cumbersome

The whole experience was just great nothing to dislike

An absolutely stunning place! Also great staff and surprising large and comfortable family condo.
Super minor, but just because I came with kids, would be nice to also have omelettes for breakfast.

The location is superb with the magical honey coloured chateau and out houses which provide light and airy modern facilities. This is our second stay. Previously we stayed in the chateau for our special anniversary. This time we were in the 'tobacco store' which was spacious and very comfortable. The chateau is also in easy reach of fabulous castles and villages along the Dordogne. The restaurant is superb.
There wasn't anything we did not like!! ...only the fact that the restaurant is so popular it was fully booked for the two nights we were there, having failed to book when we reserved our room. This was partly because France is also experiencing staff shortages post covid so it is likely reservations are limited to staff capacity

very nice faculty, nice room , good breakfast. large room , and fantastic location , the is a very good restaurant for diner at the hotel
the WIFI was week, the facility in the bath room were bellow what you usually receive
10.0
Huge rooms, authentic design. The whole mention and gardens are well preserved and gives a time travel effect.
There are hot air balloons on the front loan.
The Chateau is located right in the center, and was a good base for our daily trips.
8.0
The Château is in a beautiful position with easy access to other notable castles in the area. The pool was heated and provided great relaxation after a busy day. The restaurant provided high quality dining of particular interest, and the staff were congenial.
A welcome booklet with basic information about the workings of the hotel within the room would have been useful.
I have long hair and do not find fitted hair driers work well, something more powerful is needed.
