Absolutely the best place we have stayed at Port MacDonnell. The house has everything you need and beautifully presented. The outside protected undercover area is amazing to escape the winds. Bonus was the fire pit. Highly recommended. We will be staying there again next time we are down to visit family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Beach House. It was extremely clean, very spacious and very comfortable. The location, opposite the beach and very close to the shops, was excellent. It was also a good base for trips to Mt Gambier, Beachport and along the local coast. The Beach House was beautifully presented, uncluttered, but with a nod to the beach and to the age of the house while feeling contemporary at the same time. We also enjoyed having the choice of being able to sit out on the front veranda with the sea view or sitting more privately out the back. Everything was provided & communication was excellent. We didn't want to leave (in fact we would have liked to stay an extra night but alas, it was already booked.)

Never been here before, host were lovely, rooms were spacious and warm, loved the log fire in the kitchen. The only thing we would of loved is if there was a dryer, for a family of 5, it made washing a nightmare, other than that, great location, beautiful old home.

An absolute beautiful property with the most amazing outlook. I have stayed in allot of places around the world and I have to say, this is the cleanest and tidiest property I have stayed in! It has the seaside cottage charm, with modern touches, beautiful views from the living room and an great location to go for a morning and evening stroll along the beach. Beth and Michael are very welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Power outages to the area and Michael made sure we were ok and gave us spare batteries for the torches. Great kitchen for cooking and outdoor area to enjoy. We did not want to leave and most certainly will be back!

This property was perfect to provide a home away from home, while offering an opportunity to explore Port MacDonnell and surrounds. The house was very well presented and located right across from the foreshore pathway. It had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. This will be our first choice of property on our next stay in Port MacDonnell.

From the very beginning Beth communicated with us making sure the property would fit our requirements. A few days before the trip she asked what time we would be coming over and when we arrived the house was ready. All the lights were in. A truly welcoming experience. House sits perfectly in the middle of the town with shops and amenities close by.
Would definitely stay here again. Beth and Michael are true and genuine hosts.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We had an incredible stay here. The property has all the old world charm, with modern conveniences. Feels more like a home than a holiday rental. Beth and Michael are very accomodating and friendly to chat with. Fantastic, well maintained herb garden out the back. Would stay here again when we are next in the area.

Beautiful Cosy Cottage
Port McDonnell is my favourite place in SA and finding this cottage for a short break was perfect. It has stunning views, comfy beds and a wonderful kitchen. All of this was handy with the weather not playing along when we visited as were the games and puzzles we discovered.
Be prepared for patchy TV (bring DVDs) and no wifi and one bar of phone data.
Things that would’ve made it perfect would be a non-slip mat in the tub shower. The shower was lovely but this was a safety issue and on that note there are no bathroom fans so everything is steamy, slippery and damp when you’re out of the shower. I opened the window but it didn’t make a difference. In the kitchen a non-stick frying pan would’ve been ideal for cooking as opposed to the old, heavy pan supplied.
Overall a relaxing getaway thank you Beth for letting us stay!

Peaceful getaway
Beautiful house - the walking trail across the road is a great way to check out the town, especially with the local cafes, library etc being in walking distance of the house.
