Location was superb
Great breakfast
Helpful reception and Friendly staff
Lovely view from the room
Good bar and restaurant
The only thing that wasn’t good and a disaster was the taxi/transfer from Geneva which was arranged by booking.com. Completely messed up the times and left me stranded at the airport with no transfer.

We loved the location with the lovely view onto the church and the value for money.
It might benefit from updating the mattresses but it would certainly not prevent us to stay there again.

Every thing was great, a wonderful little resort with a large ski area, we will definitely be back. Very friendly people, even the lift operaters were happy, which is unusual in a ski resort . Great holiday

1. The location is superb.
1.1. A few mins to the closest lift to the mountains and around 5 mins to a few other lift options in the city.
1.2. City center — all stores, cafes, restaurants, and shops are there just in front of the hotel.
2. View from my room which oversees a Balme Summit — exceptional especially on a sunny morning.
3. Super helpful and dedicated personnel at reception and in the bistro/restaurant area.
4. 7 mins walk from the main bus station of La Clusaz, or 10-12 with a ski bag.
5. They have several options for Fondue in a restaurant area. It was my first time in France and I didn't try it, because the hotel serves it for at least 2 people :) But they have Genepi, which you can try there.
1. Bed. Pillow and mattress were hard. The pillows are tiny. I prefer more soft pillows, and a slightly softer mattress to fall into sleep immediately — which is actually standard across a huge amount of hotels I visited before.
2. Pillow and mattress cases are too small. So internals of pillows contacting with the body while you are sleeping. I am pretty sure the hotel is not changing pillows for each individual visitor, so not comfortable with this fact.
3. I travel alone and I had a room on the 3rd floor with a "king-size" bed. The size of the room was very small. My normal size bag for ski boots and helmet takes all sizes of the floor in front of the window, so no place to put your feet there.
4. Noice from the channel in front of the window. It flows right under the building of the hotel. During my stay (xmass 2022), there were rainy days and warm weather, which makes snow melt on the mountains. So the open channel with water from the mountains was super active and generate huge noise. For 6 nights a constantly randomly jumped from sleep just because of this noise.
5. Smell. When I came into my room there was quite a strange heavy smell and much worth in the bathroom. Which slowly decreased during my stay. Maybe because I adapted to this smell, or just because put a sign "please, not clean today". I assume it might be because of the age of the building, and/or the smell of chemicals the hotel might use between visitors.
6. I think the hotel staff or visitor center of the city should make proper work, to sum up, where and what services visitors can get, in particular — I came with new ski touring equipment and I spent about 1.5h to walk from the store to store in La Clusaz in order to understand where I can set my new touring bindings. Skiing is one of the main reasons why people visit city, it should be clear for hotels to provide such information for visitors. But good thing is that people in stores tried to help to resolve it.

Hotel team, room and breakfast were all wonderful
We were given a room on the front of the hotel for the first time and were kept awake until 3-4am every night by nightclub directly opposite, as people congregated outside the nightclub making noise. It was awful. All 4 rooms in our group were affected by this noise and we had terrible sleep throughout our stay.
