The staff and the manager were super friendly, professional and caring. They were attentive to my daughter, arranged the stay our dog and gave a pleasant gift to my wife for her birthday. Chapeau!

This hotel had everything you could wish for.
Excellent location, facilities and food.

entrance is not of a 5 stars hotel
4.5
Location, cleanliness, friendliness of the staff
Room and bed were quite small, and not what we expected when we made the reservation (it certainly was not a "large double bed"). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but at times it seemed a little chaotic and poorly organised. Something that could be improved on.
4.5
Excellent place, great service and staff. The beach location is spot on and surrounding outdoor facilities (like bar and restaurant from the hotel) are marvelous. Highly recommended.
4.5
Excellent location, very nice atmosphere, great beach, breakfast, restaurant - Bistro 59, facilities, garage and above all a fantastic reception team: Michelangelo, Giulia, Valentin.
perhaps, it might be useful to have a coffee machine in the room

The room was beautiful and spacious, and the beach view stunning. We particularly liked the large shower/bath combination. The hotel staff were very friendly, always happy to chat -- but not to the extent that it became annoying. The hotel restaurant was also excellent: great food, beautiful ambience, good service. The entire experience really left nothing to be desired!
This is really only a *very* minor point, but sometimes it took some time for things to be replenished at the breakfast buffet (especially the scrambled eggs). The staff was always eager to help, but it seemed that the size of the containers at the buffet couldn't keep up with demand at times.

the location
the fact that the property entirely lacks flexibility

The stay at the hotel, as usual, was very pleasant. The hotel staff at the reception desk, after informing that I would arrive late at night, was prepared for it and did not extend the formalities of checking in too much. The location of the hotel by the sea and the view from the hotel room is impressive. Rooms clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Minibar with drinks available - no small snacks. WiFi works flawlessly. Breakfast - being at the hotel good. However, they could be more varied when it comes to hot dishes. Scrambled eggs, eggs and sausages every day, however, seem too little for this class of hotel and price. I recommend to the chef to diversify the hot dishes for breakfast a little. Besides, I rate the whole thing as good. Particularly noteworthy is the hotel's restaurant located outside during this period. Staff very nice and helpful. The dishes offered by the cook are very tasty and fresh. I especially like the mix of seafood served on a stone palette. I liked it very much and I will definitely eat it again next time in September, if it is on the menu. I like beer and the restaurant offers local beer - Viola. That is definitely a plus for this place. The restaurant outside, right on the beach, makes a special impression and with a nice group of friends, with good food and local drinks, you can spend an attractive time. Of course, the hotel offers the possibility of using the swimming pool, gym and SPA, but this time I did not have the opportunity to use it. I rate the whole stay very positively and with a clear conscience I recommend this place for a short business stay or a longer holiday stay in the summer. The hotel is not the cheapest, especially in the summer and holiday season. But that doesn't seem to apply only to this hotel. Overall, I recommend it.

The staff were excellent in every way, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless and service is complete on a daily basis. Beach deck chairs are reserved on a room basis and beach staff are helpfull with drinks on demand. There is a very nice beach bar and restaurant with great food. A minor misunderstanding on the first day was cleared up proactively and quickly by the reception team. A range of restaurants are walking distance from the hotel along the beachfront. I would heartily recommend this hotel.
Nothing.

Great hotel location.
Great staff
4.5
Great location very close to the beach and walking distance to the restaurant and local attraction.
Great service and staff.
It was a little bit noisy due to the building construction opposite the hotel. ( city view).
4.5
the hotel's location on the beach is perfect, and at the same time it is close to the city centre.
the hotel itself is beautiful, its restaurant is quite good and its spa is very relaxing
the staff is constantly solicitous and very gracious in every one of the hotel structures
4.5
Nice and relaxed people. very helpful on all circumstances. free bicycles! ( Pesaro is a bicycle city)
all perfect. may be larger and better (electric) bicycles. I would pay extra for it.
4.5
Very friendly staff at breakfast, reception and lido
More information on how the spa etc operates. For example That you need to book and can’t just turn up much to the annoyance of hotel staff!

helpful staff, comfortable and clean sea view room

Our room was extremely comfortable with a great bed, very good air con, lovely view, superb shower.
Waiting staff and beach staff were excellent: courteous and helpful, and extremely smiley and friendly.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had in Italy, with a huge selection of pastries, cereals, cheese and ham. Lovely coffee too!
The lido service in general was superb. The sun loungers came with a comfortable mat and two towels, and there was a call bell for service. Water provided for free each day.
The interior of the hotel was very well kept and nicely furnished.
The spa was very disappointing. It was quite dilapidated, with paint coming off the walls and very dirty windows. For a spa with a sea view, it was a shame that the windows were so caked in salt that the view was ruined. It definitely looked like they had not been cleaned in a while. No privacy, with most guests having loud conversations despite the signs. Definitely not 5* based on previous experience.
The gym was also very disappointing. It was about the size of our bathroom and the photos on the website make it and the spa look much bigger and much better maintained.
Despite telling reception that one of us had a nut allergy and filling out a detailed form about this, we received almond sweets in our room. Although this was a nice gesture and we luckily knew what they were, there was no reference to nuts on the packaging and we could have had a serious health issue.
Reception staff were friendly at check-in, but then seemed to lose interest. When we checked out, we asked if we could continue to use the lido facilities for a couple of hours before we travelled home, but were told that we would have to pay even for a short extension. Our experience of similar hotels is that they can be very flexible with such things, so this was a bit of a shame.

Room was upgraded, brilliant view
Limited gluten free choice at dinner, had to send undercooked chicken back to kitchen

Everything was great! The spa was relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and our room had a balcony with an amazing view of the water. There was a wide variety of sweet and savory food for breakfast; dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious. All of the staff were very courteous and helpful. Location was perfect for walking along the beach or into the city center.
We received a 15% welcome coupon for dinner at the hotel restaurant, but it was not straightforward how to use it: we mentioned it to our waiter at the end of the meal, but it was too late for it to be applied to our bill so we didn't get to use it.

Since many years we enjoy fully the Excelsior hotel.
The extra-clean rooms. The fine amenities, breakfast, and services are exceptional . The location on the beach is right in front and most comfortable..
As Pesaro is a place on the Italian Eastcoast we can not expect dunny balconies, but they ate well equipped.
The "large bed" is not that large.. They tell us KS beds are not available at the hotel. Yet the beds are well kept and comfortable.
The curtains are too heavy. So they can not be opened completely. It is a pitty they obstruct somewhat the beautiful seaview.
I prefer a bathtub. There are none. Yet the showers are excellent.
