The view was amazing .
and the beds we very comfortable
The hotel needs a revamp. It's out dated or at least a paint job to make it look alive a bit.
4.0
the view and the location is excellent!
room’s structure is deteriorated, poor lighting and power for phones, and the wifi was another level of inefficient

The pool was closed the restaurant was closed no hot water it has a view thats all and no coffee
everything! Embarrassing and very dissapointing

The view is amazing
AC unit of another room worked so loud that it was difficult to sleep. It has to be removed from my room's window. My room number was 111.
The room has a wall inside, one bed has a window and other beds stay in a dark area without a window.
There is no mosquito net on the window. And no fridge in the room. Renovation is highly recommended

Fantastic view of the lagoon--right at the water's edge and breathtakingly beautiful. This hotel was once a very grand and beautiful place, but it has not aged well and it quite rundown. Still in OK shape, but needing attention. Parking was good, beds were comfortable, pool is clean and refreshing.
The restaurant was closed and coffee was not consistently available. But there were many eateries nearby. Also, the website advertises kayaks, but there are none to rent at the property. To maximize the view of the lagoon, the rooms have very large picture windows, so the rooms get quite hot with no A\C. So, one must sleep with the windows open and there is A LOT of noise from the road and other guests.

location, bedrooms size
could be on better condition because it’s beautiful but needs upgrades

The location is great
The cleaning is the worst I ever see

Location is fabulous - literally on the water with access straight into the lagoon.
Balcony with a fabulous view.
Large room.
The hotel and rooms are outdated, this was the first ever hotel in Bacalar and it doesnt seem to have been renovated in a long time. It mustve been beautiful in its heyday. Nonetheless we knew it was just average and we stayed for two nights only so it was fine. The view and location make up for it. If you are after high comfort or luxury this is not the place to stay.

The boat for the tour was right there.
Could swim in lagoon right there
There as a breakfast restaurant on-site.
Great view from our balcony/room.
Quite a few nice restaurants within walking distance.
I didn't realize a DOUBLE ROOM meant 2 FULL sized beds.
I thought it meant 2 ROOMS.

The view is spectacular
The staff. Awful! The only person that smiled or made eye contact was the housekeeper. The pool had constant children screaming and every single morning at 6:30-7:00 a tour bus full of people for the pontoon tours would stand under our bedroom balcony loudly talking and laughing.

- Awesome views!!
- Large Windows to enjoy the view
- Balcony

- No refridgerator in the rooms !!

The view is beautiful and the beds were comfortable and it was quiet and relaxing.
We picked this hotel for being on the water and the restaurant. The restaurant is only open until 4 and would close early every day. Also we picked it for internet so we could work but their internet didn't work at all.

the view was stunning, the pool was great, access to lagoon, a great walk to the cenote for the day!
the restaurant closes at three or four so no evening food or drinks. a fridge in the room would be a great improvement or access to one. was there many days before was told can get food delivered from town for two dollars. it’s just a side fat in the heat of day to walk to town for food. having kayaks on the property ( which they did have but wouldn’t let you use) would be a great asset/ paddle boards there is day rentals a short walk away, however.

The location is amazing just in front of the lake
The bar and the kitchen are always closed.
The room and the hotel is old and not very clean
I wrote to ask if they had paddel and kayak before booking the hotel and they told me they have it but when I arrived, they didnt have any of that.

Location is amazing but that’s it.
One fan, no air conditioner, dirty towels, dirty room, bed springs poking through,no hair dryer, no coffee, no TV, just horrible! People dropped their kids off amd they ran around acting crazy! Just horrible place.

Location is perfect for the view
This hotel is old and outdated. No a/c, no outlet by bed for cpap. Only one outlet across the room. Restaurant was closed and is far from restaurants. But if u are going to Bacalar for the view than this is the place. The view from each room is awesome as all rooms face the Lagoon.

Bathrooms need new tile.

I have stayed here before and it's a beautiful property on the outside with a stunning pool and view of the lagoon. One can swim or take a boat tour of the beautiful area right from the location.
For the cost, I think offering breakfast would be nice and set a tone for creating comfort and friendliness.
The rooms are very bright at night from just having shutters and a light curtain. But bringing eye covers address that.
It's right along a road, so one can hear cars. Bringing ear plugs helps with that.
