The location

Even though I live on the 12th floor, it seems that the windows are not well insulated, so I can hear the sound of cars in the street. I can also hear voices in the adjacent room.

Very bad!

Location, cleanliness

Staff who was trying to cheat and recharge money! Unfortunately while checking out the guy at reception was telling fairy tales about miscalculations that booking doesn’t count one night and he was trying confuse us and recharge again money! I showed total amount from booking and total amount from my card that was charged while check in but he was insisting! Another cheating was near the pool that we paid cash for what we have ordered and they were trying to give us document to sign and put the same order on the room number. Be attentive because the fraud is everywhere in their staff!

For the price, get a newer hotel. We paid 1400 AUD for 2 nights and the rooms don't even have a way to cast your device to the tv, the tv controllers are like 10 yo, we got the room changed after finding 2 big moths after coming back from breakfast... Both rooms had slippers just for one and little soap bottles for one as well, even when we were booked it as a couple... Never again

worst anniversary celebration at Marriott Marquis!

our stay was super disappointing. we booked to celebrate the 10th anniversary and we mentioned in the booking that we are celebrating the 10th anniversary but they didnt do anything the check out day they called us at 11:35 AM telling us that they forget to send us a cake last night so if we want the cake now or u want to take it takeaway! as if we have booked in a bakery!! when we arrived the check-in date we have waited for 10 mns in the car waiting for any valet to take the car but no one came however they were standing there, the valet parking came after we called him and we carried our on luggage without their assistance. when we entered the hotel the security asked us to carry our luggage to put it in the scanner without any assistance and we took it by ourselves to the room without any help. when it comes to the room there was only 1 towel and 1 shampoo 1 conditioner and 1 body lotion and 1 pair of slippers only yet we are two in this room, but when we called the housekeeping they provided us with addition hygiene kit. it was our first and LAST time staying at this hotel

Doha Marriott didn't disappoint

I really can't fault this Marriott. Arrived very early & just wanted to leave bags in storage for the day. Was offered an upgrade & immediate check in (small extra cost) so was able to hit the shower after a long flight before heading out for the day. Felt fantastic. Staff went above & beyond in any interaction. Minor confusion over my late checkout on the last day but they immediately rectified it. Maybe one of the best breakfast buffets I've seen. Magnificent. Get breakfast with room & you won't be disappointed. Room was in the North Tower which is apparently better. Range of restaurants on site is very good. The italian is worth a visit. If you're looking for an alternative eating option the adjoining shopping mall accessed from the 2nd floor straight from hotel is easy to get to. The city view at night from the path back from the Souk (worth a visit - especially the Falconery shops) is worth a walk or ride. Uber to the Souk late afternoon and wander or scooter back towards the Marriott as the sun sets. Ride all the way to the park near the Sheraton & then Uber back. Uber in Doha is cheap. Wouldn't bother hiring a car though the valet parking at the Marriott was very efficient.

Even 15 floors up there was a little road noise when someone in a sports car or on a big bike gave it a lot of throttle at 2am. Not the Marriott's fault but I was surprised. There was a little crossover noise as the room had an adjoining door to make a suite. I'm guessing double door and you'd think that would be enough but when the couple next door were enjoying the extra spacious king bed at 3am it was very noticable.

My first night was in a lower floor very smelly and noisy room. The staff took immediate action when I told them that and they gave me a better room. Although I already asked for a high floor room when I made the reservation.

Very nice room with a great view. Friendly staff. Quick check-in and check-out. Superb location at the heart of West Bay. Lots of restaurants, bars and cafes within and nearby the hotel. Direct access to City Center Mall.

There was leakage from shower cabin to the bathroom floor.

The room was very spacious and comfortable except the extra wasn’t comfortable. The location is good next to city centre mall. The staff were very nice and the chick in process was really easy and fast. The breakfast was good there was so many choices

I have one note, which is that they do not allow hotel guests to use their cars in private parking except through Valet service, so I would like to use my car and I do not want to give the car to someone because there are some personal items in the car.
