It's close to the airport... but it's also face to face to the most noisy Geothermal power station in the world!
The most noisy hotel we've ever been. It felt like a dystopia, having dinner with the most horrible views in Iceland: a massive factory with enormous chimneys throwing smoke, and a noise that seems the noise of a bomb... all the time! We were trying to read a book and have a chat at the lounge and it was impossible to hear each other. Really the worst location ever... and possibly the only UGLY spot in all of this beautiful iceland. It's a shame that they don't show it on the pictures. Really a shame.

Super clean room with spacious bed! Lovely location and spa
Nothing to report here

Many cozy areas to hang out, comfy rooms
The blackout shade didn’t fit the window, so it never really got dark in the room when we went to sleep. Probably blackout curtains would be better for ensuring actual darkness during summer

We spent just one night here when we did an Iceland stopover on our way to the US. It was absolutely amazing. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and kind. The restaurant is very good. Of course, we visited the Blue Lagoon, which was a great experience. The hotel offers a shuttle service, but ist’s just a 20 minute walk through the lava fields that is an adventure on its own (on a solid path of course). Our six year old daughter loved everything about it. The taxi service was totally flawless as well. I‘m sure we will be back <3

Perfectly fine rooms. Comfy beds. Restaurant is good. Pricey? Not for Iceland.
Right next to geothermal plant, Sulphur smell in the air. But not bad inside.
4.4
Close to the Blue Lagoon with shuttle service. Good breakfast and coffee. Rooms are spacious.
The smell of course but it’s understandable given the geothermal activity.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is walking distance (if it is not windy and/ or raining) to the blue lagoon. We found it a perfect gateway for your first night after your arrival or before you leave.
nothing to complain.

Staff are incredible. They allowed me to stay extra nights in the same room when I became sick and they even personally got me Powerade to help me feel better.
Nothing they were exceptional.

spacious rooms, great sitting rooms, located close to blue lagoon and opportunity to see northern lights if conditions are right, great breakfast, great bathroom products
not close to shops, but expensive, no mini fridge or bottled water

The staff and the restaurant.
The location as it’s very close to the refinery next to Blue Lagoon.

Friendly staff, great food in Max's restaurant and close to the Blue Lagoon. The rooms were clean and a good size with free tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was great too.

The friendly and helpful staff, the location, the gym, the breakfast buffet.

Right beside the blue lagoon and close the airport it makes a good base if you have an early flight. they also allow you to grab a continental breakfast at 4am. they offered a wake up call for the northern lights. the restaurant is very good and so are the cocktails.
it's expensive but it's Iceland!

The location was amazing, really cosy and homey Inn. It felt like a home away from home.
The breakfast menu was very limited.

The staff were incredible and met every need that was required. I would highly recommend Max’s restaurant. The hotel lived up to it’s name with a great display of the Northern Lights right above the hotel.

Great location for Blue Lagoon. A very comfortable place to stay, a wonderful room, spa and surrounding area.
The menu at restaurant is not massive, some more main courses would be ideal.

we left there for a couple of days in the city - and what a mistake that was.

Great location for the end of our trip. 2min from the Blue Lagoon and great for early morning flights. Staff are so friendly and accommodating

Absolutely nothing to complain about

A very cozy place to stay with easy access to some of Iceland's natural wonders. The shuttle to the Blue Lagoon is super convenient. The views from the rooms are amazing, and you can opt into a nighttime wake-up call if the northern lights are visible the night of your stay. Additionally, they have a great viewing room with panoramic windows for the northern lights as well. The Inn has a very cozy feel with a warm common space with an active fireplace.
Moreover, the Northern Light Inn was super accommodating when a flight delay required me to stay in the Inn an extra night. There were no extra fees or challenges, just excellent service when my plans needed to change. They even helped arrange a taxi to the airport the next day. The staff of the Northern Light Inn won't hesitate to help you in any way they can.

The Hotel is brilliantly placed for the Blue Lagoon.
However, this Hotel has something that others do not - possibly the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet. We were trapped in a blizzard, and the owners and staff could not do anymore for you. A great family Hotel run by great people who are there to give their guests a great experience. Great Hotel with great facilities, Congratulations on doing just that!!

Staff were exceptional, couldn't fault them, knowledgeable, friendly, excellent service. Highly recommended accommodation. Is 40 mins from the capital but that's what we wanted and got all and more!! 🎉
Nothing! 10/10

Free shuttle to and from Blue Lagoon. Guest Lounge with free coffee and tea. Honor bar for alcoholic beverages. Great views from the guest lounge. Complimentary fresh waffles and cream in the guest lounge each afternoon. separate movie and game room for guests. Wonderful surprise spa with dry sauna, float pods, sauna blanket and compression boots. Excellwnt complimentary breakfast plus Max’s restaurant was terrific for other meals. Surprising selection of wines. Beds very comfortable.
Pillows were way too soft.
