the location was amazing ! the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was so kind, they would even have let me bring my cats (which I didn’t in the bed)… for this I am very grateful ! bathroom was new, big king size bad
the room was super small and overpriced… I didn’t mind bit having breakfast included, that was not a problem but I hated that there was no coffee machine, not even by the common areas, especially in winter when everything was shut down for maintenance! I would even have been happy to pay for the capsules, I just wanted and needed coffee first thing in the morning ! unacceptable for a 85 euro rate! the bathroom smelt horrible (drain system not good ), the lady who checked us in complained about everything 🤦♀️… you can do so much better, camere dentro il castello, please at least get a nespresso machine in the common area!!!! come on

Really good place in the heart of Monteriggoni.
The room is small.

The check in was very simple for being a little later in the evening. It was a cozy and warm room with a lot of character. It was great for what we needed.
Bathroom was a little small.

location
waiting for 30 min to get the code for the key lock - then go to a random restaurant to show
my passport. The worst part was that the Wi-Fi didn’t work and most lamps was out or order - so very dark. The city is cute but a tourist trap

Lovely antique decor, small but well designed rooms. Amazing to stay up in the old town. Great restaurant associated with rooms

There was no breakfast and no cooking facilities..and that was exactly what was promised.
It was perfect; it was historic and inside the castle walls. Just be aware that history comes with steep stairs, narrow doorways, etc. Don't book a historic place and expect a Holiday Inn. But, this place was magnificent and comfortable.

location is exceptional, room is clean.
wifi is not working in the room, only in shared room of 4 apartments.
matrices are terrible, sleeping like on the floor.

location, friendly staff, clean, fantastic view, fridge
some furniture not have handles. Air conditioning poor. A kettle would have been welcomed. Entrance stairs dark (a light wasn’t working.)

Good style and good size for 4 persons. Accomodation with a touch of personality. To wake up in Monteriggioni is special.

location
check in was very frustrating . Nobody
present at property or designated
checkin site (closed restaurant).
property manager would not respond
to our phone calls or emails. could not
access the building or our room. Had
to find a local on the street who happened
to have private phone # of owner. it
was several hours after arrival before
we gained access. The steep stairway
was very dimly lit and A/C was in-
adequate. The downstairs was hot and
the loft was stifling the entire night.

the staff were very accommodating and helpful, could not have been better. The rooms and space are excellent, as is the location.
what disappointed me was the AC did not at all, it was very hot, 98F, the room, on the top floor, was like a sauna all night. Also, as a pilgrim, the fridge is vital, it too, did not work at all. it puzzled me that the hosts went to so much trouble creating a beautiful space and then failed to follow through,

Location and rooms
Check-in was really complicated. The host sent me the instruction to pick up the key and the place where I should go it was closed. After an half an hour I waited outside a guy came to brought the key. It was not such a big deal but the host did not even apologies.

1. Fcked up Customer Service
The room was plain, small but it is manageable but woman who handed the key has no sense of what customer service is. Running two businesses but couldn't manage at all. Only cared for the money. Attitude is unbelievable.

Very good position, in the real center of Monteriggioni. The rooms are in the old fashion style and we liked them. The check-in was done in the restaurant in front of the apartments.

The little town is nice
Unfortunately ,my boyfriend and I didn’t sleep at all because there was a strong noise of a drain of a bathroom.. :(

San Miniato is a beutiful jewel, a small town surrounded by the medieval walls and then rooms are right inside the castle. The view from the window is astonishing...
We waited 2 hours for the keys because we have a misunderstanding with the owner. Be sure to communicate the right time of your arrival.

Location was amazing
Not possible to check in at location - had to go to a hotel outside of town for the keys.
Before booking, this issue was raised since we were walking on the Via Francegina and did not want to do a de-tour away from the route to pick up the key. We were told that the location for check-in was only a few hundred meters from the Via Francegina walking route, but this was not true - all in all it added app. 2km to a 32 km day of walking!!!
It said that it was a group for 4 persons (2 double beds) - one double bed was on a built-in loft and very hot for sleeping.
