The room was really clean, the air con worked and the mosquito nets on the windows were intact.
The smell of damp everywhere else in the B&B.
The payment for the room had to be done in advance, not through booking.com but via PayPal or bank transfer. I managed to do it via PayPal but then got told on arrival that I hadn't paid enough. The man didn't speak English so I had to guess that the difference was maybe for taxes. Even though he was very polite and pleasant, it just felt quite run down and very damp throughout. We came away feeling quite sorry for him.

Great location, friendly staff and extremely clean!
The bathroom was tiny but it had a great working shower! The bed was not very comfortable.

breakfast was delicious! Kris was so friendly and always available to answer our questions. location was great also - only 1-2 minutes walk from the beach :)
we had a downstairs room and the ventilation was not as good so it smelled a little musty.

I did not have a breakfast this visit, primarily because we wanted to try out places in town. On a visit in March I had their breakfast and it was fine. Large bowl of cut up fruit, 2 rolls w/jam & butter, scrambled eggs, juice, good coffee. The location is excellent. It could hardly be better. About one and a half blocks to the sand. Plenty of quick, hot water, good modern a/c. The room did not come with a refrigerator but we were given one at no charge from a room that did not use theirs. The room was very clean, staff were well-mannered and friendly. Excellent people skills. The building must have been renovated no more than a few years ago at most because it was really in good condition. A nice little common area terrace overlooking the street with some seating and a table.
The room was small for 2 but adequate. There is only one large room but it was already taken as ours was a last minute visit. I stayed in the larger room in March and we will definitely try and get the larger room on future visits. I would recommend asking for a room located on the rear of the house. The two front rooms can get more street noise, though as nearly everywhere, barking dogs can be an issue.

Large room with television, small desk, coffee maker, and array of welcome snacks. Strong wifi. Large bathroom with plenty of storage. Room was spotless and perfectly clean when I arrived. Host offered cleaning each day as well. Free purified water in common area. Small balcony area for guests as well as a small room with books and sitting chairs. Great value for the money!

I had breakfast at the hotel one time. Only once because I wanted to try some of the other breakfasts in town. I only found one that I liked more and it was a couple of dollars more but of course I did not eat everywhere. It was reasonably priced and made fresh, served on the 2nd floor terrace. 2 rolls with butter and jam, scrambled eggs, good coffee, and a generous bowl of cut up mixed fruits. Banana, kiwi, strawberry, mango, pineapple and papaya (I think that was all!). A very solid 3 star hotel in my opinion and the owner Francisco was always available and ready to help. I am low maintenance and did not bother him much. No need to. This was the first place that I stayed 6 years ago on my first visit to Olón and it obviously has been completely redone in that time period. Not fancy but very clean, comfy bed, good storage for a week's worth of clothes. Wi-fi was rock solid. Also it is a quick 2 block walk to the beach. One over and one down. Much quieter than the hotel I had stayed at for the last 8-10 visits. It is my definite new go-to hotel in Olón! Give it a try and you'll be happy too, I am sure.
I just cannot think of a thing.

The host of the bed and breakfast was great. His wife was away while we were there but he handled everything and did it perfectly. We paid to have our breakfast there each morning and it was very good. It was served on the upstairs balcony just outside our room which my wife and I enjoyed very much. The air conditioning in our room worked very well and there was always plenty of hot water for our showers which isn't always the case in Ecuador.
The bed and breakfast is not located on the street that runs along the beach but Olon is small enough that it took only a couple of minutes to get to the beach. That's not really a dislike but it's the only even remotely negative thing I can say about La Casa Naranja.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, good airconditioning and wifi. We stayed at la Casa Naranja for 12 days, we’re a family of 4. Also our teenage children loved it. The location is also good, very close to the beach ánd the restaurants in town. Francisco did everything he could to make our stay comfortable. We felt safe, because he’s always around and takes good care of the place....

SUPER CLEAN. SUPER COMFORTABLE. SAFE. TV WITH NETFLIX ;) A/C and hot shower. We loved having our coffee in the room that the host left for us (with collation bars ) in the room 🥰
GOOD LOCATION: 100m of the beach 🥰. 200-300M of bus terminal (cpl terminal). Many resto around (re recommand Nettuno Pizzeria.
Francisco (the host) is helpful, polite and if you ask him, he is welcome to help.
a little bit noisy…but this is everywhere in Ecuador.

The attendance was great. Cleanliness is excellent

The room was bigger than I expected. The full size kitchen was also a surprise, as was the mini-balcony view overlooking the river and the famed cobblestone street below.
Maybe a larger size TV? The TV was not really important though because at this location, you would not want to spend your time indoors anyway.

very clean rooms and a block from the beach and restaurants.

AC, TV, and comfortable bed...also hot water and fridge. Owner was real nice and helped to lug my heavy suitcases up to my room.
Not the establishment's fault, but it had rained overnight and the dirt stree was muddy. Hated tracking mud onto the clean floors.

The room was incredible and the service was absolutely impeccable! The owners are absolutely lovely people who do everything possible to make your stay perfect! One day I had a job interview online and 20 minutes before it my laptop died, but they owners did everything possible to help and even lent me a laptop for my interview! Unbelievable! Thank you guys!
To be honest, there's really nothing I didn't like about this place. Out of everywhere in the surrounding area, I would choose La Casa Naranja again every time!

Great place to stay for the money. Really great breakfast for $6, Or, head over a block to the roadhouse for breakfast and talk with the American and Canadian folks. Really close to the beach.
Hot water pot in the room to make that early mourning coffee or tea.
Would have loved to have satellite TV in the room.
