The reception staff were very helpful helping us deal with the fact that there had been a duplicate booking in our name and they then contacted booking.com to cancel this second booking. We were both very impressed by their professional attitude as we were concerned that we might be charged for a booking we didn't make. I would recommend this motel to other travellers.
We were somewhat shocked to find that we had this duplicate booking but more than impressed by how quickly they were able to have it removed.

The location to the Port Arthur Historical Site was amazing, we could see it from the motel :) We are a family of 5 so the family rooms were wonderful and spacious. Our host Audrey gave so many tips of places to go and visit during our stay and we had the one of the best Christmas Day's we have ever had. Audrey provided bowls and cutlery to our rooms so our kids could have their breakfast cereal. Thank you so much Audrey!
I ordered a vegetarian lasagne which had jalapeno's in it which don't agree with me. This was mentioned to restaurant staff and to Audrey who said she would discuss with the kitchen staff. No troubles whatsoever. The rooms are a bit dated but sufficient.

The property was clean, tidy and close to the Port Arthur site. The staff were helpful and accommodating to our needs. The beds were comfortable and the area is quiet.
The property is a little outdated, but great for our needs.
3.9
Proximity to Port Arthur historic site was second to none.
Everything was not just old in the motel, it was dusty and unkept.
The carpet had not been vacuumed, the shower still had liquid soap all over the floor in the cubicle. The bed linen did not smell fresh
The restaurant food was terrible.
A tiny piece of tasteless ling on a mountain of lumpy flavourless mashed potato, with mixed vegetables.

We paid slightly more to hsve a room with an outlook which was pleasant.
It is an easy walk to the historic penal colony site via a gate accessed with your room key.
Our meals were tasty and generous.
Our double bed was a shocker and we advised the office via email that it needed replacing which they said they would do.
Minor maintenance issues such as the bathroom tap being wobbly and the wall mounted tissue box container needing securing with a larger rawl plug.

Easy to access Port Arthur and return to have lunch on balcony - basically attached to port Arthur.
Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Could not fault.
Will definitely stay again.

Close to port arthur park.
All good

Great location for visiting Port Arthur historic site. Rooms are dated but functional and comfortable.
A toaster and basic plates/cutlery may be useful

Location was good. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff in the restaurant and breakfast area need to smile and welcome guests a bit more. I think she was concentrating on getting her tasks done quickly, but forgot to engage with the patrons. Perhaps she was shy, but didn’t make eye contact with anyone.
A crash course in customer relations might be useful.

Location
Parking spots very challenging
Booking said sea view and queen room but was not

Central to everything
Bathroom was old and needed updating. Sink was blocked

On our second night we have views over Port Arthur historic site.
Being an older building, maintenance is always an issue.

Wonderful location. The access onto the historic site is a bonus. Last minute availability was handy for us.
The motel and rooms themselves are dated and quite tired. In our room, the wardrobe door was falling off of its hinges and the decor, fittings and other fixtures are just generally old and in desperate need of a revamp, but I assume its not worth the cost of renovating for the owners.
The breakfast for $12p.p was terrible. Hardly any selection and just the poorest most basic quality. Save your $12 and spend it on anything else instead. Go out for breakfast or have something simple in your room - it will be better than the breakfast they provide.

Location. Has its own entrance to Port Arthur. Staff attentive.
Hotel is tired. Acoustics not great. Could hear people in next room.

Beautiful view. Nice room. Lovely meal at restaurant

Food was amazing as we're most of staff. With the manager being the exception.
Extremely poor customer service from the manager.
Would never stay again nor recommend.
After booking a balcony room. Our doors were screwed shut, so we couldn't go out and sit and enjoy. Manager said we could move rooms but would be every night of ourstay (4), which i found unacceptable. When I told her that she said we could check out now if we didn't like it.... very rude, unprofessional.all I was asking for was $60 refund.price difference between balcony and non balcony room.

I loved how friendly the place was and the food was absolutely delicious! I didn’t realise the parmi’s where jumbo, and omg talk about bang for your buck! Never seen anything like it and it was soooo good! Location was incredible, right near the historic site which is why we were there and it was perfect, a small cosy friendly place.
The only down side was the shower was a little small and old, but it really wasn’t a big deal. I adored the room it was so cosy and beautiful.

The location - perfect for our visit to Port Arthur Historic Site.
We could hear the family in the next room who had a young baby that cried a lot into the night.

Lovely room and views
The bar staff were cheap and nasty

Clean, close to main attraction, affordable- great staff service

walked straight into the historic precinct from motor inn.

The Inn is directly behind the Port Arthur Historical Site. Good location, pizza size was a decent size for the price.
The shower drain was clogged, the wardrobe was broken and dusty. No toaster in the room.

Overlooking the historic site.

I liked how close it was to the historic site, the view from the restaurant and how helpful the staff were.
Nothing much!

Loved the location, walking distance to Port Arthur’s Historic site and budget friendly. Provided the basics such as soaps, tea and coffee. 2 free bottles of water too.
Beds were quite uncomfortable, caving inwards when lying down. No toaster provided.
3.9
There was a restaurant on site, which was handy. Had to book ahead as it was full on the day. Generous servings of pub style food. The bedding was good quality, the beds were comfortable and the rooms a decent size. We stayed in the interconnecting family room. The best perk of the lot was having access (using the room key) to the Port Arthur site after hours. We went for a walk after dinner and it was lovely to enjoy the place on our own.
The rooms were dated and the bathroom, though clean, could do with renovating. The exterior of the buildings were also dated and a bit grubby. Staff were not overly friendly but were efficient.
3.9
Location was good if you are interested in visiting the historical convict site. Room was clean and a good size for a short stay. We liked that you could order pizza to your room or eat in the bistro.
Another patron’s vehicle was parked badly and was blocking other cars. At 7pm, another guest came and knocked on our door asking if it was our car blocking and we said no. He said that management had suggested the car might have been ours as we arrived at a similar time. Early in the morning, other guests continues to knock on our door and/or speak loudly in front of our room complaining about the car in the way which wasn’t ours. We were very disappointed in management for suggesting to other guests that the car might have been ours, and it severely disrupted what may have otherwise been a pleasant stay.

Conveniently located to Port Arthur historical site, is great accommodation to retire to after the completion of the 3 Capes Trek.
Friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met. Thoroughly enjoyed the Tasman salmon meal in their restaurant.
Thoroughly enjoyable stay!

We loved sitting on the verandah looking out over the beautiful scenery. We also loved the views over Port Arthur and that it backed onto Port Arthur. The two rooms we booked for our family were very comfortable.
Everything about the accommodation was great but unfortunately our meals at the restaurant weren’t so good.
3.9
The rooms were very comfy, a little on the small side but very clean and they had everything we needed. The little fridge in the room was great and our family of 6 loved the adjoining rooms. The location was excellent.
The breakfast room closed at 9am which is quite early when you are on holidays with teenagers. We got there before 9 but everything was packed up. There was hardly anything left and it was a major rush. We were disappointed to not have been offered a small discount, to be honest, because we paid full price and most of the food was gone. The restaurant also closes its kitchen at 8pm for dinner, which seems exceptionally early.
3.9
Well appointed room - friendly staff
Being a cheaper motel option, there are noisy neighbours sometimes
3.9
Location is great. Dinner was good.
Unfortunately, the Motor Inn is starting to show it's age. We were going to have breakfast, but what they presented was so poor/limited, we had nothing.
3.9
On site restaurant for breakfast and evening meal was very handy as the site is quite a way from a town. Room was fine and beds comfy. Staff were friendly and very helpful especially on check out with tips for which roads to avoid on our way to the next place.
The room was a little dark, needed a light on even during the day. Parking was tricky as spaces were quite small.
