The house easily fit our group of eight, including two under 10 y/o, with a bed to spare. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and spices, coffee, and tea. There were games and puzzles available. The location is good - about 3/4 mile walk to the beach and to the beginning of the "downtown" strip. The house is older, so expect some loud/creaky doors, and you need to manage your water use to ensure sufficient water pressure for showers - one at a time, don't run the washing maching, etc. But the house is well-priced, so you can't expect perfection.

Very comfortable home. Would have liked more tv channels available. Had plenty of room for our family. Well equipped. An easy walk to beach area for our adult family. We all had a good time.

Great location, nice house
We had a good experience- the house was clean and well stocked, lots of games, things to do. They could use a different lawn service, maybe trim some trees. We had a weird experience with whoever was trying to remotely control the thermostat- didn’t appreciate them turning it up to 80. Overall, a pretty good experience.

Beautiful Neighborhood
This is a spacious and fantastic house in the beautiful Victorian neighborhood of Manistee. The house was plenty large enough for our 4 adults and 6 children. It's well-equipped in the kitchen and with outdoor games as well as beach chairs and a couple of bikes. The location is perfect as it's a short drive/walk to downtown or the Lighthouse Park beach. We would gladly stay here again.

The house was amazing! It had everything you needed and was big enough for our 5 person family and the kids brought three friends. Any cleaning issue’s I read about on other reviews has been addressed. We had an awesome week of vacation in Manistee!!! Will definitely book again in the future!

Favorite Vacation Spot
We love Manistee and we love “Our Yellow House” as our kids call it. 😂 This was the second time we have stayed at this property and it has been amazing every time. Perfect accommodations, excellent location, just-right price. We are already planning next years trip to “Our Yellow House” for several days longer too! ❤️❤️ Thank you to the property managers for fast responses when we accidentally locked ourselves out!! 🤦🏼♀️ Nothing but praise for this Manistee gem.

Quiet neighborhood, spacious house, but their house cleaners need to do a better job
The house was nice, in a quiet neighborhood, we saw deer every day, and for the most part we had a great time, but we did have some issues.
Some positive things are the front porch was nice, it was spacious, we all had enough room to spread out, the kitchen was stocked with cookware, the neighborhood was quiet, and it was close to restaurants and grocery stores.
A few of the negative things were the first night we stayed there we found hair all over the sheets in the master bedroom upstairs, I had to strip the bed and sleep on a flat sheet and luckily I brought my own blanket and pillows from home to use since there were no sheets or other bedding to replace them. The bedroom upstairs with the two twin beds, the sheets were dirty as well, those beds had to be stripped too. The property manager did offer to have their house cleaning crew come out to clean what I didn’t think was clean, but at that point I’d already stripped the beds and bought laundry detergent to wash it myself. I understand it’s an older home, but some of the windows wouldn’t stay open without something being wedged underneath it. Overall we did have fun, but I would not rent this house again, it seemed like it needed a good cleaning.

Quiet Neighborhood - Good location - home could be cleaner
This home is in a very quiet neighborhood. Every day you will be greeted by the family of deer that have made this block their home. The house has plenty of space overall. The gas grill worked out just fine for us as well as the fire pit. The only negative is the house wasn’t as clean as it should be. The downstairs shower and upstairs community shower needs to be deep cleaned. Change the shower curtains regularly. The kitchen floor was filthy. I don’t think the cleaning company is doing their job. We wanted to use the hand mixer in the kitchen but it doesn’t look like anyone has every cleaned it. The carpet on the stairs leading upstairs and the upstairs carpeting really should be cleaned by a professional carpet cleaner. I would consider staying here again but only knowing it was deep cleaned.

From Central Illinois, we have historically camped in Manistee. This year, decided to make it a shorter trip and rent a home with our cousins family instead. The pictures dont do it justice! The house was immaculate and the perfect size - great common space to have family time, but enough elbow room for quiet time, as well. The home is in an old neighborhood and within walking distance to the beach, the childrens parks, downtown and the boardwalk. We were excited to see the lake from the yard and even a couple bedrooms. The neighborhood was so peaceful, there were deer everywhere! The home had amenities like a gas grill, folding chairs, Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, boccie ball, beach toys, board games, wifi, cable, an adorable front porch, and enough bathrooms for all. I would definitely rent this home again and would recommend it to anyone with a mid-size group. Until next time, Manistee!

Perfect!
We had a great weekend staying at this home. It has plenty of space (5 beds, 3 full baths), the kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes and nice cook ware makes it easy to make meals for a large group. The keyless entry makes it an effortless arrival and departure. The location is perfect, the neighborhood is quiet but it is still very close to downtown and the beach. The backyard is great too, with an awesome fire pit and outdoor seating. It is pet friendly, too! We greatly enjoyed our stay and plan to come back soon!

Good value for the price
Squeaky clean, well equipped, but best of all, felt "homey". In town neighborhood, but very quiet. Loved having morning coffee in the back yard with a view of Lake Michigan. Walking distance to charming downtown Manistee. Great shops, and restaurants. Hope to get back soon!

Huge beautiful charismatic home
I LOVE this home! This was our second stay at this home. It is a very large home, fit for families or large gatherings. It is an updated older home with all Charismatic details. It's in a very cute historic family/vacation neighborhood, about 2 blocks from the beach, like 3 parks, and a few blocks of walking distance from downtown Manistee. We loved taking trips to the Platte River for canoeing/tubing( which is an awesome river to go with children) and Also renting a pontoon boat near by. ( which is much cheaper than you'd expect) Meijer, gas stations, banks, restaurants, shops, and even the casino! are all within the area also. The home has cute decor with sooo much space for your all of your needs with an attached garage. Every room is personal, a great size, and has very large closet space, one also has it's very own personal full bathroom. 4 bedrooms with 7 beds, and 3 bathrooms, all with showers. It is equipped with your essentials such as washer/dryer, kitchen utensils/pots/pans, a GRILL, and plenty of towels. They even provide wifi, board games, books, outdoor games and even 2 awesome bikes. The backyard is great for gatherings as provided with a patio set with umbrella, bonfire pit, and of course a grill .
This is a great home to get away from your own home , but FEEL as if you're home!
