The house is set up for up to 4 families, or 10 fishermen. Sleeps 18 guests in beds and has 4 x sofa beds for extras if needed. The Happy House is a very popular house, mostly due to its very affordable price; but also because we can accomodate large family groups, and it's in a great location. It's central to all the best sights, and also has great fishing right on the beach in front of the Valley. It's clean, comfortable, beach chic styled, with modern kitchen appliances, and is fully fenced and child friendly. We have an igloo style woodfired pizza oven in the front yard, that cooks the yummiest pizzas. Also in the front yard is a firepit, and plenty of chairs to sit around it, and enjoy a few cold drinks and even watch the footy on the 85inch TV up on the veranda. House details. Sleeps 4 couples and 10+ children in beds, we also have 4 sofa beds incase of extra teenagers / children or extra adults. 2 bedrooms have extra space for BYO porta cots. We can also cater for up to 10 fisherman; 7 sleeping individually in beds, and 3 in sofa beds inside the house. Please ask for a quote if you have more than 8 adults, or more than 10 kids (under 16yrs old). The Happy House is fully self contained, 3 bedroom plus a sleepout; with 2 bathrooms, a huge front verandah and fully fenced yard. It is child friendly, clean comfortable, and relaxed. A beach chic styled holiday house. It is open plan, so it catches the beautiful ocean breezes in summer. We also have a large wood fired heater in the kitchen to keep everyone warm in winter. The Happy House has a very large fully covered front deck / outdoor living area; with Cafe blinds to protect guests from the weather, or can be rolled up to enjoy the cooling sea breezes in summer. 👉🏽Child friendly features The kitchen and wood heater is fully enclosed in a walk through, gated safety barrier. There is also a baby gate that can be moved to where ever needed in the house. There is a high chair, and even a shower bath tub in the downstairs bathroom. The large verandah has a pool style, veranda railing and a safety gate at the top of the steps too. Facilities Inside the house 👉🏽Kitchen We have a full family kitchen with family size fridge, 4 drawer upright freezer, an upright gas stove with 4 burners, griller and oven, and a large wood heater. Cutlery and dinner settings for 12 adults; and plastic cups and plates for younger children; Kitchen utensils, sauce pans, fry pans, wok, roasting pans and 2 x 10L Dutch oven pots with colander / pasta inserts. Coffee cups, Coffee Pod Machine, Electric Toaster, Air fryer, coffee pots, glasses, wine glasses, beer glasses and lots of pizza trays etc 👉🏽Large wood heater in the kitchen, keeps the house toasty warm in winter. 👉🏼Electrical Items Family size fridge, Upright freezer, chest freezer, 2 x TVs, DVD player Toaster, Coffee Pod machine, Electric cake mixer and even an air fryer, automatic washing machine multiple pedestal fans in every bedroom. 👉🏽Dining Room 2 x 6 seater dining tables and chairs, plus a high chair. 👉🏽Kid’s lounge has a 3 seater sofa-bed lounge chair and a TV / DVD with a few children’s DVDs, pedestal fan. We have some board games, a few kids books and card games and some outside games too. 👉🏽The adult lounge has 2 x 3 seater sofa-bed lounge chairs and several pedestal fans. 👉🏼On the big veranda The veranda is fully weather protected with clear Cafe blinds on 2 sides. The veranda has a safety pool style fence / railings and a self closing safety gate. We have a large 6 burner flat plate BBQ, 2 x 8 seater wooden BBQ tables A 4 seater lounge area, a 2 seater lounge suite, and 2 x 3 seater sofa-bed lounges. We also have an 85inch smart TV with satelite TV, and if you are tech savvy, you can hook it up to your own phone for playing your own music, video and Netflix etc 👉🏽Bedrooms ✔️The bedrooms are set up as family rooms, so parents and their children are in the same bedroom together. ✅️Family Bedroom 1 - Triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) + 1 set of single bunks. (Sleeps a couple + 3 kids) ✅️Family Bedroom 2 - Triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) + 1 set of single bunks. (sleeps a couple + 3 kids in this room, could fit a BYO porta cot in here too) ✅️Family Bedroom 3 - Triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) + 1 set of single bunks. (sleeps a couple + 3 kids in this room) This bedroom has the downstairs bathroom / laundry as an ensuite. ✅️Family Bedroom 4 / Sleep out - Triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) also room for a BYO porta cot. (sleeps a couple + 1 child) 👉🏼Not included in the actual bed count; we have 3 x sofa-bed lounges inside, and 2 sofa bed lounges on the veranda. These can be used as extra beds, for adults, teenagers or children. Maximum adults = 10, Maximum children = 10 other guest MAY be accomodated, but please check with us first. All adult beds have soft mattress toppers; and waterproof mattress protectors, and a fitted bottom sheet and doona cover as a top sheet. All single beds have waterproof mattress protectors and a fitted bottom sheet, with a doona cover as a top sheet. ✅️Guests must BYO pillows and blanket / sleeping bags. 👉🏽Bathrooms Upstairs shower and vanity. Seperate toilet in its own room Downstairs This Bathroom has a shower, a toddler bath tub with hand held shower and a toilet. There is also a top loading automatic washing machine in here. 👉🏼In the yard Out on the front lawn, we have an Igloo shaped, wood fired pizza oven, with a large prep table beside it. So bring your favourite pizza recipes 🍕 and a bag of milled wood and a bag of kindling. We have a fire pit 🔥 for you to relax around, with a bunch of outdoor chairs; you can even see the big 85 inch TV while sitting around the fire. We also have a toddler play fort. We have 2 outside clothes lines, one is undercover. Near the clothes lines we have a hose that can be used to wash down cars and fishing gear etc Out the front gate, under the 🌴palm trees, we have a 🐟fish cleaning station with a hose and large filleting table. 🐕The house is fully fenced in safety pool style fencing. Front gates can be left closed or open, whatever guests prefer 🐕The whole of Happy Valley township is also enclosed by a large dingo proof fence and grid, so children are safe from dingos if they play outside in the common area or walk to the shop The house is fully off grid, solar powered with 28 solar panels and 7 lithium storage batteries, as well as a back up generator for cloudy days and the high power 💚What to BRING💚 You will need to bring your own ✔PILLOWS (Covid hygienic requirement) ✔towels ✔sleeping bags / doona ✔food ✔toiletries ✔first aid kit 🐟 Fishing rods 👍🏽You will need to BYO Toilet Paper 👉🏽Firewood Also supplied are some kitchen consumables - alfoil, cling wrap, paper towels, garbage bags, bench spray, fridge cleaning spray and shower cleaning spray, washing up liquid, hand soap and even laundry detergent. There is room for parking 4 vehicles only, 3 inside the fence line, and 1 outside the fence. There is a hose for hosing down fishing / swimming gear and 4wds. Min stay is 3 nights, check in is after 2pm, check out is by 10am. 🔴We have very friendly on-site managers that live in their own seperate cottage - to assist with anything you may need during your stay. They give great fishing tips too, as they are mad keen fishermen. You can also request, in advance, for them to catch you some surf worms for bait🔴 The Happy House is located at Happy Valley on the Eastern, surf side beach on K'gari, and to get there a 4wd vehicle is ESSENTIAL. Happy Valley is almost mid way along the beautiful 75 mile ocean surf beach and we think K’gari has the best beaches in Qld. K'gari - is a World Heritage listed National Park and the most beautiful location. The Happy House is situated near the front of Happy Valley, it is only a 70m stroll down the boardwalk to the 75 mile ocean surf beach. Its only a 150m stroll on the boardwalk in the opposite direction, back to the local corner shop. The shop sells ice, groceries, takeaway, bait and fuel, souvenirs and barista coffee. There is also bar / restaurant and an ATM, an Australia Post box and even a public pay phone. From the house, it is only a 10 min drive North along the beach to lovely Eli Creek and 15 minutes to the famous Maheno ship wreck. ♦️Please note this is a SELF CLEAN HOUSE♦️ There are no cleaners in Happy Valley So please clean when you leave ✔sweep and mop floors, ✔️vacuum rugs ✔Wipe out the fridge ✔wipe down the shower, bath and toilets with the bathroom cleaner that we supply (gloves under the sink) ♦️We do NOT expect you to do a bond clean.
