About this house rental

Located at the bottom of a cul de sac and bordering on the river reserve, Treetops is a secluded hideaway perfect for a peaceful retreat. Perched above the river, the elevated balcony on the river side puts you up amongst the trees and birds and provides great views of the river and to the sea. The lower side grass area accesses a track with direct, exclusive access to the river, where you can enjoy some time in peaceful contemplation sitting atop the rocks or, for the active, launch and recover your canoe. The peace belies the close proximity to the town facilities, a 6 minute walk to the shops, 8 minutes to the pub and only 3 minutes to the renowned Augusta bakery.

Treetops is a comfortable 3 bedroom house, recently renovated, with new fittings and furniture throughout. A well fitted kitchen with full appliances and plenty of space, linked to the large dining and comfortable lounge with wood fire. The main bedroom is spacious, has a queen bed, settee and wardrobe. The other two bedrooms have queen beds and built in wardrobes. The large bathroom has separate shower and bath. Sheets and bathroom towels are not supplied. The laundry has washing machine, dryer and iron with ironing board. Two driveways provide plenty of parking for 2-3 cars and boat trailer. The rear closed in verandah provides safe shelter for pets and has an indoor 5 string clothes line. There are two grass areas, the lower with direct access to river track and a rear, upper level area out from the rear paved area.

Was a bleak weekend for an extended family stay but house was plenty big enough, clean and warm with all that we needed. Minor issue with key but Bob was quick to sort this out once we let him know. Right on the river but a pity that there isn't really much river access on that side of town with dogs that love the water and walks, unlike other side with extended river path. Listing could probably do with an update as a few things like the spa couldn't be found? although wasn't a deal breaker for us. Overall a good time had by all ... adults, kids and dogs. A

The property has a lovely feel to it. Nice and quiet and close to town to walk to. The weather while we were there was cold but sunny days. We certainly didn’t feel the cold, with warm bedding, additional heating and a lovely fire place. Bob and Judy certainly made us welcomed and supplied us with lots of information and was there if we needed to ask anything. We really wanted to sit in the sun room, but unfortunately it was under repair, so we couldn’t. Hopefully next time it’ll be available. We would certainly consider returning for another holiday. Our friends who stayed with us really enjoyed their stay and would visit again also. Thanks Treetops for a lovely holiday!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Treetops! The house is beautifully spacious and well equipped for guests. Bob was wonderfully responsive with answering questions and we were very grateful to have the benefits of a wood fire to keep us cosy warm all weekend :)

Lovely property, close it everything. Always nice to have an opportunity to bring our dog along on holiday. Kids enjoyed walking to the river and town. Would highly recommend for families, plenty of room and a great kitchen!

We had the best 3 days at Treetops! Loved everything about this relaxing hideaway on the river. Beautiful views into treetops and the across the river. Host was wonderful, highly recommend this for your next getawat!!

Great house with spacious living areas and big bedrooms. Single bathroom outdated but clean and well laid out. Could use a second toilet. Temporary issue with access to lower garden (awaiting new steps). Upper garden has an unfenced drop which meant vigilance with our small dogs. Location brilliant for walks and to access shops and pub. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend to friends.

Perfect house for three related couples. Rooms were spacious, house well appointed and we particulary liked the seperate living/sitting areas where we could get away from each other when we needed to. Bob was great to deal with and responded quickly to any queries. Can definitely see us booking again in the future.

We stayed at Treetops for a week in January to escape the hot weather at home. Our teenage boys enjoyed fishing and kayaking from the river (literally down the garden path), the bakery was just up the hill, and it was an easy walk into town to the pub for dinner, or a longer 30 min walk to the Colourpatch Cafe. Plus there was a great TV for watching the tennis & cricket. So relaxing!

The photos don’t do the house justice - it was lovely and such a pleasant surprise to walk into a gorgeous oasis after many days of camping doing the Cape to Cape. The fire was enjoyed by the kids during the rainy storm of our last day too. Loved watching the moon rise over the river at night. Thanks Bob for being a great host too!

Such a lovely peaceful place to stay in a wonderful location in Augusta. Perfect for a family or several couples. Close to everything and well set up with plenty of space and everything we needed for a great stay. We will definitely be back as soon as we can get away again.

Me and my friends stayed in the home for two nights and let me say it was amazing. The view is beautiful and the entire home is very modern. We ate breakfast outside one morning and got to see the beautiful river whilst we ate. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil you could need and we were just a minutes drive from the Augusta Bakery. Overall we would definitely stay again☺️

Property was exactly as it was advertised. Room for a 4WD and boat. Very clean and within close proximiity to the water and town ship. Efficient and easy contact with our hosts. Will definitely be back again with the family!
