Rainbow Sands Resort - we will be back

Even though the facility is a little tired, the staff told us it is due for a major renovation next year. Still offers a good stay as is and the staff were really nice, friendly and helpful, including giving excellent recommendations of where to eat, what to see and best coffee in town.

A little tired in presentation but the staff well and truly made up for this and nothing was a problem if we needed anything.

Great stay, very clean

Very clean, lovely staff and good location. I was even able to store my bags after check out. The bathroom looked freshly renovated and modern. Washing machine + dryer were very convenient

En stor leilighet til grei pris. Veldig positivt at det var både vaskemaskin og tørketrommel i leiligheten, så fikk vi vasket litt klær. Sentralt (selv om Rainbow Beach er veldig lite sted).

Good, enjoyable stay.

Location was good and room was clean and tidy. Staff were really good.

The couch was very uncomfortable and there was no Netflix or Stan.

We enjoyed staying at Rainbow sands and location was central for our needs for the weekend Tho the hwc needed replacing,

Hot water cylinder was not working upon arrival at night and had a cold shower

With a small renovation and a new bead and better cleaning this place could be amazing.

Location

Shower has lots of black marks in the grout and when we arrived a dirty foot print on the floor or the shower. Bed was horrible Carpets needed a good vacuum and if they were vacuumed before we arrived you need a new vaccine cleaner

Would stay again if I was in the area

Spotless room, extremely comfortable, great en-suite. The clerk at check in was able to check me in early which was so appreciated. Everyone was very helpful and I extended my stay because it was so lovely.

The walls are a little thin, my neighbour decided to have their TV at volume 100 until midnight - not the resorts fault, but was the only complaint I had.

Great location and would stay again

Lovely friendly reception changed my motel room booking to one bedroom unit. Comfortable room and sitting area.

Previous stayer left a T-shirt, grill and oven needed a clean and couldn’t locate a dish cloth, maybe cleaners were having a busy day.

Closeness to beach and town

Having stayed at this property several years ago I found the property to be tired and rundown and looked as though it hadn’t been revamped since I last stayed there. Whilst unit was clean , beds were old and uncomfortable , shower head was rusty , tv controller had not been checked for operation showing that maintainance was not up to stratch and updating did not seem a priority.

Filthy dirty, had to wash all cutlery, dishes and pillow cases stained had to use our own. Cobwebs, dust and dirt everywhere had to get the manager in to dust some things. Container with sugar, tea and coffee were filthy dirty and 2 of the coffee Sasha’s were out of date. Expiated July 2021 yes 2021!

Overpriced for a very tired apartment that needs a good clean

Close to all beach, cafes shopping

Needs a good clean. Eg window sills caked with dirt/dust, windows need a good clean and cupboards under sink need a wipe out. Dishwasher doesn’t work

Clean your own motel room- or else!!!!!

Handy location. Comfortable beds. Shower hot and with great flow.

The kitchen facilities where dirty. The toaster and kettle needed a good wipe down. Crumbs and spillage marks all over the shelves. A surprising notice on the microwave demanding that the bins be emptied and all crockery and cutlery be washed (in the bathroom basin!). If these chores were not completed to their satisfaction we would be charged a cleaning fee - I'm not sure this is legal but most certainly unethical! The person at reception was rude at checkin and unhelpful for anything other than the bare minimum service. I would not return due to the sneaky demand for cleaning fee for jobs that really should not be expected of a guest.
