House is in a great location and has amazing views
It’s big and spacious
Decor is good
Improvements Needed
Pictures are outdated. Some things are no longer there like the basketball game and couch in the garage.
Carpets are white and covered in stains and are filthy.
House allows animals so animal hair is everywhere.
Furniture is old and some of it is not very comfortable.
Beds are mostly firm and old.
Lots of scratches and scuffs on walls
House needs a facelift.
Lots of spiders inside and out
Some Boards on the deck are rotted and need replacement.
Pots and pans are old with flaking teflon.
Overall, it’s a large okay house in a great location with amazing views and mid grade beds.
They only provide minimal garbage bags, dishwasher pods, towels and TP. We had to go buy more of all of these. Definitely would not classify it as a luxury rental.

A beautiful property, well maintained, great view and beach.
6.0 / 10.0
The location of house is wonderful! It's lovely to wake up to the beautiful ocean views.
Pros: Location of house. Great ocean views! Saw blow holes of whales from the deck. Kitchen is well appointed and has anything you could need. Area is quiet and neighbors are not too close. It was great to walk to restaurants and shops. We particularly loved the shop "Mystic Antiques" and bought beautiful rings there.
Cons: House is dated. We were told just before we arrived that ice maker was not working. This means also no filtered water from fridge. There was a half empty bag of ice in the fridge and tiny ice cube trays. I do not want to use a bag of ice that previous renters may have dug their hands in. We had to keep refilling the trays to get ice for our drinks. After starting our laundry, we realized the dryer did not work. Vacasa admitted that they knew they dryer was inoperable and offered to have us go to another property to do laundry. I do not want to spend time during precious vacation to go do laundry at another site. Their solution was to credit us $55 for inconvenience. Sorry but that is not enough. Also, the playroom/garage room with ping pong table smells terrible. A strong ammonia smell.
Overall, the house is very big and in a wonderful location. However the description of the home being "elegantly appointed" is far from the truth. For the price of the rental the appliances should work! Also, the last 10/10 review from 5/24 is fake. We were in the home at that time

Our stay at this house was amazing!! We had a long day of travel and got in at 1:45 am, however when we woke up to the beautiful landscape and beach, all our troubles melted away. The dryer did not work but thank goodness the washer did. We were able to air dry our clothes so it all worked out.
The only thing that I felt could have been improved was the master toilet seat.
Other than that, we would stay here over and over again!!

The views are fabulous. When we checked in there was furniture on top of furniture as if the carpets had been cleaned, but no one came to put it back where it belonged. My stepdaughter rearranged the furniture and spread out rugs.
The place is supposed to sleep twelve, it does not. I'd say it could comfortably sleep 8 at the most. When we arrived we found a broken bed on the bottom floor. I reported it several times to Vacasa, no one ever came to fix it.
I had to call Vacasa re location of hot tub key, long wait on the phone.
The appliances in the house are bad. The grill was filthy and attached to a rusted out propane tank. I spent two days trying to clean the grill.
The dryer didn't work until we climbed behind and removed a great amount of lint from the dryer duct, it was packed. The washer and dryer were dirty.
The community rooms were comfortable and the location is excellent. The house needs new management.

We had a great time at the house - plenty of room to spread out, the property was quite large and fenced on the sides with direct access to the river / beach.

Very spacious, well outfitted, everything we needed. Only downside for us was no beach hiking -- the home is located near a cove that prevents access to the beach. But it has a beautiful, large, lush backyard that seemed perfect for kids and dogs to play in. The home is walking distance from downtown Yachats.

The house and property ARE beautiful, THIS house must be pulled from being rented until several health and safety issues are addressed: cleaned and repaired- my guess in the owners are not aware of how the house is being cleaned and serviced. Filthy non working refrigerator, dried food on the 'clean dishes and pots/pans' in the cabinets, running/leaking toilets, floors were filled with dog and human hair, food and dirt. Shower door fell in on a guest, hot water issues up stairs, mold and spider webs in lower rooms/bath. The master bedroom and livingroom has not been deep cleaned in a long time, under the bed, couches, rugs and furniture is filled with dust, dirt, food items, mold and a lot of hair. The hot tub was ice cold although I was told is was just cleaned and serviced prior to our arrival, the hot tub filters were covered in thick fuzzy black and dark green mold, dirty dishes were in the hot tub-this is a huge health issues. The local manager actually left a threating voice message on my cell after I complained to the house keeper that the house was NOT cleaned four days prior to our check in, as she had stated, repair and maintenance were called about five separate issues. We had to walk to the end of the property to get WIFI service- I shared photos with the manager during my return call, his horrible attitude quickly CHANGED-especially when I told him the housekeep stated '' that someone must have broken in to the house (and re-locked it) '' prior to our arrival-busted the doors, filthy black handprints on the light switches and door jams, left all the hair , dirt, grime and sand, eaten in and then broke the hot tub, !. Nearly four weeks after our stay, with several hour plus long phone calls, they offered me the return of the cleaning fee, I declined and was then told they would return one nights rental fee, STILL WAITING.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! Walking distance to yachats. Pet friendly. Really cool petrified wood around the house. Just has an all around good vibe. Definitely staying there again!
4.0 / 10.0
The views from the home are beautiful and the location in Yachats is very convenient to anything you would need or want to do. However beware, the home is very worn and not that well maintained. The ping pong table is not flat and the paddles are useless. The basketball hoop was not there. The darts no longer stick in the dart board. Getting into the home with the long access codes did not work. We were stuck for over an hour trying to get access to the home. Finally Vacasa provided a four digit code that worked. Lots of unnecessary hassle.

I just rented this house for a long weekend with friends and family and had such an amazing time. The house is secluded enough I didn’t feel like we had to worry about staying up late with some chatter and music. It was cold so we didn’t spend a lot of time in the backyard , it wasn’t anything exciting anyway. But the view from the house was spectacular, the kitchen was well stocked and everything worked well. Lots of seating and games to play. The day bed downstairs was broken so that was a bummer and the dishwasher’s lower rack kept coming apart. Like other reviews, it’s not easy getting to the beach from the house, we had to walk a few blocks so we didn’t go to the beach as much as I’d like. It’s walking distance to town and just a short drive to numerous attractions. When we got there, the code to get the key didn’t work and we were stuck out in the cold, but a quick call to vacasa fixed the problem and we got inside. Overall it was a great rental and experience and I would definitely go again.

The house was so big and awesome! The beach is right there! We will rent again for grandma’s
Birthday ( me )! We didn’t have any issues except the oven/stove. 2 hours in the oven for dinner. Please fix or update.
3.0 / 10.0
This is my family's second stay at this home. Let's start off with the good, which there really is a lot of. The location. Yachats is the most beautiful little town, seriously, one of my favorites. Amazing trails to walk, absolutely stunning views from the home. I love walking around the town and stopping at all the shops. I can't say enough about the location. 5 stars easy there.
Now some of the less pleasant.
1. The home appears to be in worse condition then our first visit. The toilets have an issue with flushing (handles get stuck, and yes there is a little label on the toilet lid on who to get into contact with when this happens).
2. The rooms have strong smells of animals. I get this with an animal friendly home, but seriously, if you choose to bring an animal, you should respect the home enough to take care of your animal. That is again said for the carpet. The carpet has stains all over it, we were here back in March and it did not appear to be cleaned since our last visit.
3. As the home states "hidden luxury" there are little luxury items in the home. The stove has one burner that actually works (the other took 10+ minutes to cook scrambled eggs). The oven doesn't seem to reach temperature as a frozen pizza needed to be cooked an additional 15 minutes (compared to package instructions) to be edible. As I am one who enjoys to cook on my vacations, this is extremely frustrating to have to eat out every meal. Oh, and don't get me started on the pots and pans. They are well past their peak and need a good soaking prior to washing just to get simple food of of them. The ice/ water dispenser was broken back in March and is still broken. Again, just another thing you have to go out and buy.
3. My top complaint for this vacation was not having the hot tub key when we arrived. As we are a family that will pay a little (or a lot) extra for a good view from the home and a hot tub, I was extremely frustrated that "according to Vacasa's notes" the key had been lost by the last visitor to the home. So upon arriving, and without that knowledge, we assumed we were tired and would try again the next day. The next day, again no key that would fit the lock. I call Vacasa, they stated there were notes that the key was lost, and they said they would call the supervisor. The supervisor got back to me a few hours after my initial call and I needed to return to the home to meet him for the key. Then I stated if the key was lost upon the last visitor, then the hottub wasn't cleaned. He stated he would call the cleaning person and she would reach out to me. I spent the rest of the day waiting for the call, to no avail. I called later that evening and was told once again I would receive a call. I received a call on my 3rd day at the home. She arrived around 4pm to clean the hottub. I was offered a $100 for my inconvenience (2 and a half days of waiting on Vacasa and ensuring I was available). I'm not very happy with Vacasa management and have yet to hear back from them regarding my experience.
This is a long post, and for that I apologize. Essentially if you are looking for a stunning view and beautiful home. This is a great location. I was really looking forward to my second visit, and I can see the home is just slowly deteriorating. The owner seems to truly care as there is beautiful antiques in her home and I feel bad that her home isn't being taken care of to the level in which it should be.
If you are trying to cook in this home, avoid unpleasant smells, in all the rooms, or if something goes wrong and want something fixed sooner rather than later, I advise to continue looking. I don't think we will be back to this location unless some major changes occur. Again, the most beautiful views of the coast but not worth all the extra hassles.

The view was great, the house was clean and beautifully decorated! It was difficult to actually find the house due to a very tiny address sign. We drove back and forth for over an hour on hwy 101 and finally stopped at a motel and asked the mgr to help us locate the home, which she graciously did. We called Vacasa, but they had to put me on hold several times and asked if they could call me back w/ directions. Otherwise, we loved the home and really appreciated the decor of the home, the large deck, beautiful back yard, and wonderful view!

We had a great stay in Yachuts. The house is in a great location and it was spacious for 8 guests. The yard, beach and views were beautiful. The kitchen had everything you would need and we enjoyed the decks and hot tub. The property is in need of some updates. The trundle bed in the basement was broken, and the carpets have a lot of pet stains and really should be replaced. The dryer was also not working very well. Overall, it is a charming place and we would return.
8.0 / 10.0
This home has a great location. Yachats is walkable, and the home is on a beach along the river. At low tide you can walk to the tide pool area. Great agate hunting. Have to wade across river to get to larger beach. The grounds are beautiful and spacious, and there is a lovely bonfire area on the beach. The deck is nice with outdoor chairs. The hot tube was pristine. It's really the outdoor space that makes the home. The interior of the home was not our focus as it was summer when we visited and we mostly wanted the location and beach area. However if you are looking for a luxury home be aware the interior of the home, while fairly well kept and with nice and thoughtful decorative additions by the owner, is dated. The pots and pans are very difficult to use/old, knives not sharp, dishwasher difficult to use (bottom rack difficult to roll in and out), ice maker broken, water dispenser in fridge broken, could not find plug for tub to take a bath, etc. There are also notes with warnings all over the house, which I have never seen in the other luxury homes we have rented; they make it a bit hard to relax. For the price point (which is appropriate!) it would be nice to see at the minimum some kitchen updates and maybe less signs.

Just like the pictures. Beautiful view and easy to walk to town and the beach which was great. Big dining room table for family dinners and cards and even nice seating outside to take in the view. We loved it and had a wonderful vacation.

Fantastic place to stay!
The house and setting were magical. Perfect for a big family and so dog friendly. The decor in the home was so tranquil and inviting even for dogs! We appreciated all the notes around the house and all the thoughtfulness that went into making us feel comfortable with our four legged kids. View of the yard and ocean could were so enjoyable. Perfect walking location for trails and city dining. We look forward to booking this home for every beach getaway in the future. Thank you!

Good views, well stocked for cooking/eating and great location
We had a lovely, laid back stay at this house in January 2022. The views are great, the kitchen is well appointed with dishes/ pots/pans, very comfortable beds and the location is terrific.
The rooms are quite large with various seating arrangements that accommodate reading, cooking and/or TV watching in separate areas. If there are children in the group, the backyard is a real bonus. Lots of room to play and run.
Given that the property is titled "Luxury", there are some small details that we think would add to the rental experience.
1. There was a notice that the ice maker was broken without any estimate of when it would be fixed. We can understand that happens, but it would have been nice if the freezer had contained a bag of ice. Instead it had only one, empty ice tray.
2. It also would be nice to include two packets of coffee to get guests started, plus a small container of sweetener packets as one might find at the table of a restaurant. Those offerings are common to find in motels.
3. There are some appliances on the stop shelf of the cupboard that short people cannot reach. A two-step ladder would be nice to include, otherwise folks will resort to using a chair to stand on which isn't good for the guest or the chair.
4. It would be good to have a bottle of a general cleaning solution (409-ish) and some rags in case of a spill or a desire to freshen up a sink. We found other types of cleaning products...granite cleaner...but no general cleaner.
5. There's a need for bathroom towel racks.
6. The toilet handle in the master bath often sticks so that the water keeps running.
7. The dishwasher's bottom tray needs fixing. It's missing a roller(s) which makes the wash cycle very noisy as that tray now tilts and the water sprayer keeps hitting it.
8. As we walked down the gravel path to the ocean, we noticed one of the gutters is blocked with leaves. We didn't look around to the status of other gutters. Just thought you'd want to know.

What a view!
Wonderfully large house with beautiful views of the surrounding woods and ocean. Easy access to a very quiet beach. Walking distance to Yachats grocery, coffee shop, and more. Short drive to everything else we wanted to see.

Great house!
It was the perfect home for our family. Both sets of kids with grandkids, and our two fur babies. Everything was clean, especially considering the allowance of pets. The weather was perfect, and having our own "private" beach was awesome. Would rent again.

Great house, 4 1/2 stars though
This is the second time we've stayed at this house. It's absolutely amazing, the view, the size, the yard. It's perfect. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars ONLY because the carpet needs to be replaced, it's beyond cleaning now. Lots of pet stains but that's to be expected and not really that big of a deal. There was also a dead, rotting beached whale on the beach near the property that stunk to high heaven if you were down wind of it, totally not the fault of the management company. Fortunately the one night we had a fire the wind was blowing out to the ocean so we couldn't smell it.
4.0 / 10.0
Unfortunate
This could be a beautiful property... I love dogs have two of my own, however the carpets looked like the dogs didn’t go outside. They used the carpets! The property was not on the ocean, had to cross a river to get to the ocean.

private beach and forest
House is very nice. I was pleasantly surprised by how big the yard is with tons of mature trees leading out to the river and beach. Very private very beautiful.
4.0 / 10.0
This house has a lot to like and some things that weren't so positive. The living areas and the kitchen are very large and very nice. The view of the ocean is very good. The two bedrooms upstairs are huge. Lots of wasted space in them.
The downstairs bedroom is very small with a double bed. The "bunk area" in the living area downstairs is also very small.
The primary bedroom bathroom, while very large with a lot of counter space, has a very small pre-fab shower. I am 5'2" and weight about 124 and I found it small. The half bath is large but it is a half bath. The downstairs bathroom is like a standard cheap motel bathroom with a tub/shower combo that is old and a bit "clunky".
The yard is lovely and the walk down to the river is easy with some stairs. To get to the ocean waves you walk a fairly easy 8 minutes over the bridge. However, you cannot walk a long ways there as the beach doesn't extend far.
The house was very well stocked with towels and linens. However there was no shower soap or body wash at all and only one small motel sized container of shampoo and conditioner in the two bathrooms.
One of the beds had dried blood on the sheet. (it had been washed just not treated). If you get up before the occupants of the primary bedroom and someone is in the half bath, you have to go down through the people sleeping in the living area to the downstairs bathroom.
It is a short walk to town, less than 5 minutes I would guess.
The carpets were stained everywhere. The owner should require a deposit each time the house is rented and start with cleaned carpets. The carpet choice is poor for a rental (cream) but they appear to be new.
The owner is an artist and the house is very nicely accessorized.
The kitchen table is large and right outside there is a picnic table so lots of people can eat at the same time.
This house has much going for it, but the bathroom situation and the lack of walking access to a long stretch of ocean beach were strong cons for us.
The half bath should be converted to a full bath with a nice shower. There is certainly enough room to knock into the bath in the primary bedroom.

The carpet choice is poor for a rental (cream) but they appear to be new.The owner is an artist and the house is very nicely accessorized.

Strong Pros and strong cons

Lovely home!
We were super impressed with this home. It was much larger than we anticipated and there was plenty of room for our extended family and dog. We loved the large dining table that could fit all of us. The downstairs was nice and could be closed off from the upstairs, which helped with the kids and dog and sleeping. The kids enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table, foosball and other games. We also enjoyed the puzzles. The backyard is just as nice as the house and was very serene and peaceful. The walk to the beach was nice and short, the stairs down are a bit steep so it may be more difficult for some people. There was a little section of river to cross to get to the ocean, but it was really nothing. We had everything we needed and we appreciated the beautiful decor, antiques and the information about the house. Also loved the little touches like dog towels by each door and the boat with the oars to venture out on the river. The wifi was a bit spotty, but that just encouraged more disconnection! The house was everything we were hoping for and then some!

Family Time House
Great house for family with lots of places to gather and big enough for everyone to have space for themselves. Nice kitchen, big dining table, lots of diversions with hot tub, pool table, ping pong & foos table. Big yard for kids & dogs!

Beyond Expectations
The location is the best in Yachats: beach access, private landscaped yard and within walking distance of town. The house provides space for all and many activities to keep all amused. The owner’s decor and art set the house apart from other beach house rentals and give it a more personal feel. Being so dog friendly was a plus.

Not a 4 bedroom house
Although the house can sleep 12 there are only 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Downstairs their is a sofa bed and trundle bed in the kitchen/ living room. Great ocean views and beach access

Mostly amazing
The location is unbeatable, definitely need to clean in the nooks and crannies. Floor had not been mopped or vaccumed very well, and we ran out of dish soap for the dishwasher. With that being said the home is gorgeous and the view is amazing! We would still come back regardless.

Great house in lovely location
The house is very large and situated on a nice beach, the only one near town. Very short walk into town yet really private feel. Very personal feel to the house with nice art and furnishings. Comfortable beds. For most people it really does not sleep as many as claimed. It's three bedrooms and two and a half baths. There are trundle twins in one large bedroom and the family room. Wonderful sunsets and private yard area which is well maintained.
