Il personale è gentile

La struttura forse era 5 stelle 40 anni fa. Ora è veramente decadente, si e no 2 stelle, pur avendo affittato il top della camera con piscina privata a 400 EURO A NOTTE. Il letto è rotto, non aveva neanche i comodini abbiamo dovuto chiedere una modifica della disposizione in seguito alla quale le spine erano coperte dalla spalliera che abbiamo dovuto da soli allintanare dal muro.Pendono fili ovunque e tutto è attaccato precariamente ( doccia, lumi, spine...) . Pulizia precaria , il bagno si allaga perché non c' e box doccia e la vasca perde acqua fino alla camera e sono anche scivolata. Abbiamo ancora tutti gli asciugamani a tamponare. La tavoletta del water è rotta da 2 giorni. La vasca non si svuota per cui bisogna togliere il tappo che abbiamo infatti trovato gia tolto. L'idromassaggio della vasca da bagno non funziona e i pomelli sono staccati, il reggidoccia traballa. Peggio di così non si può. Credetemi è vergognoso. Si può accettare tutto questo ripeto per 400 EURO A NOTTE?

Excellent stay until the wedding party turned up.

Staff were very polite and a joy to be around. Sun beds perfect, cleaned everyday.

Shower leaked around the bath. Walls a little thin, can hear tv when on in next door rooms.

The location sucked. If you didn’t have a car, you were far from everything. I would have preferred a location with more things to do. It felt isolating. Would have preferred cafes and stores and some nightlife

Breakfast room often full leaving some guests having to sit in a pretty unappealing part of the hotel.

Perfect 1 week stay for a family group. we took full advantage of all the facilities at the Ionian and never once expe

absolutely everything! amazing staff from owner Elena, Joanna and colleagues at breakfast and Paula and the team at the pool bar. They always served with a smile and went out of there way to give everybody a memorable stay. fantastic food, rooms, pool and location for Sammi .

It really was a great holiday. Just what was needed at just the right time!

The bedroom was comfortable/spacious with welcoming air con and was cleaned daily. The communal inc. pool areas were clean and beautifully maintained with care and the staff were superb especially with my 1 year old son Max who was doted on and had meals specially prepared through out our stay. The breakfast was fresh, varied, tasty and plentiful. I’ve never been one to go to the same place multiple times but this hotel just be that place! A sincere thank you to everyone at the hotel!

Best hotel in Sami

Room with private plunge pool. Location, a nice walk along coastal path to Sami where there are numerous restaurants and patisserie’s . Very attentive and friendly staff.

We paid extra for a late check out and had to move room after 11am, this wasn’t a problem, however, room supplied for the afternoon wasn’t of same standard as one we had previously, particularly the bathroom as around the shower was black with mould, not what you expect from a five star hotel - all great prior to this though.

Beautiful holiday

Great location - 10-15 min walk to restaurants along stunning seafront views. Luxurious pool area - double beds with roof & curtains. Deluxe sun beds. Free beach towels. Pebbles beach with hotel sunbeds 30 second walk from pool. Friendly staff.

Room’s and bed were comfortable as well as the pool facilities.

Bathroom fittings were very poor and hard to use, requested someone to come to check but help never arrived. Breakfast was shocking as well as all food services offered.

didn’t like the fact that the 3 star up the road was allowed to use all the facilities at out 5 star resort. that part of my stay was really poor I hope it stops doing that because it might turn me off from staying there again very very poor.

we liked almost everything about the Ionian Emerald. the one minor negative is that there were only a few shops and restaurants in walking distance.

Wanted an ocean view and could not accommodate.. never explained to us about the times for breakfast or how to contact the front desk so I had to call on my personal cell phone to ask. Did not inform us about concierge services or about boat rentals in the area which we happened to notice a brochure at the pool bar. Mattresses not comfortable for a 5 star hotel with the price charged. Pillows too hard …. I am saying there’s room for improvement…

The hotel is in a perfect location if you come to Kefalonia to visit Drogarati Cave, Melissani underground lake and Myrtos beach. It is based in Sami are which is 40 mins from port Fiscardo and 45 mins from the airport. The staff is very professional and helpful, high standard of service, girls are super attentive, especially Maria and Elena, absolute rock stars. Easy to rent a car for a very good price. Rooms are very clean, perfect place to stop by if you are exploring the island. The hotel isn't big, but swimming pool area is nice.

The breakfast is terrible, 2 star hotel level max, perhaps because of covid, or that hotel was half empty, but food was limited. Also, the beach is not good, so do not expect a resort here, big pebbly and stony beach with small boats parked on both sides, very difficult to walk in the sea, poorly developed beach, definitely needs work on it!
