The staff were friendly and helpful.
I booked the hotel because it had a pool, it was closed but we were not told that. The hotel is being converted for economic migrants, we were not told that. There is an active protest outside, we were not told that.
The security were smoking joints.
The hotel is in poor shape, the bed was lob-sided.
I felt sorry for the staff doing their best in dire circumstances. This hotel was certainly not worth the money.
3.5
Great place
The only thing I’d complain about is the fact the I’d cycled 210 mile an got back to the hotel an they said I was a few minutes late to order food.
4.5
Plentiful and tasty breakfast.
Spacious room, comfortable bed and chairs, table and desk.
Lift and ramp access.
Access and parking.
Bath with requested bathmat.
Places of interest at reasonable distance, Ceide Fields, Foxford & Woollen Mills, Moyne & Rosserk Friarys, Errew Priory, Mullet Peninsula, &c.
Room cleaning staff gave special attention.
Leisure Centre lockers not functioning.
Ballina Festival week finale event gave rise to road closures throughout the town including both bridges across the River Moy; to cross which we had to make unscheduled detour via nearest bridge at Foxford. This is no-ones fault, all part of the holiday adventure, but it would have been helpful to have had prior notice of it.

Rachel and Dave, are welcoming hosts with a team who have exceptional customer service and high standards. The breakfast was hot and perfectly cooked. The only toaster I have found in the world that you only have to put the bread through once. Thanks to Sean and the ladies in the bar restaurant in the afternoon/evening. Nothing was too much trouble, your needs and dietary requirements were met. Very helpful with local knowledge and getting around. Set in a beautiful setting with a fast flowing river and wildlife across the road which you can sit and watch as you eat your breakfast. Our sincere thanks to Rachel, Dave and team for an amazing week.
The hairdryer!

This hotel is absolutely disgusting, so outdated, and needs a total revamp, The leisure centre is not fit to be open to anyone for the health and safety of people I have never seen a place as bad in my life.. please avoid

The breakfast was delightful, and the location was conveniently situated
The bedrooms were simple yet tidy. As I traveled with a small child, I found it disappointing that the hotel room lacked a bathtub.

Lack of toiletries in bathroom.

Nice Atmosphere
The Swimming pool was a bit dated/tired.

Lovely room and facilities. Comfortable bed and the furnishings were very nice and understated in the room. Bathroom was spacious and had separate bath & shower. Good service at breakfast.
The corridors to the room felt a bit dark and musty in contrast to the lovely room. Breakfast had nice hot food but had room for better options in the baked goods category.

Very bad breakfast.
Better cleaning, better food, people have to walk into cold outside the hotel to go to swimming pool which could make people sick,

A two night stay for 3 adults and 2 children for B&B €768 and very disappointed. Our shower was blocked and kept overflowing and was unhygienic, so we had to use my Mum's bathroom shower.
At 6am there was this dragging noise that woke us and l thought it was my children opening a draw and l rang reception and l was told it was a motor for the heating in our side of the hotel, our rooms was 263 & 264 and the owner said she would turn it off and 4 hours later it was still going so we were all awake and absolutely shattered it was like torture the noise was non stop for over 4 hours and we couldn't sleep.
We went down to breakfast and we were there half an hour before breakfast was over and most of the breakfast was gone and wasn't replenished. Then l went to get toast and the waitress had cleared the little bit of food that we had got and hadn't finished and our plates were taken.
When l mentioned how the issue with our shower wasn't resolved and the noise was still going l was told oh l must get that checked. No apologies and no credit and by that stage l was so exhausted l just wanted to leave. I had enough l had taken my elderly Mum and my husband away for their birthdays and l wish l went elsewhere.
