Top Hotel, top Lage und top Essen. Perfekt.

Personal war super freundlich. Restaurant absolut top Essen. Wir durften unser Auto auch nach der gebuchten Zeit noch einen Tag kostenfrei auf dem Parkplatz abstellen. Perfekte Lage zum Autozug, aber auch für Ausflüge zum Oeschinensee.

Gute Lage aber mit Hund nicht sehr willkommen

Die Lage des Hotels war sehr gut, da der Bus direkt gegenüber lag. Man hat einen schönen Ausblick auf den Berg am Morgen.

Als ich ankam hat man mich mit einem „Hallo“ begrüsst und danach sofort gefragt was für ein Geschlecht mein Hund hat. Das ich voranmelden muss wenn ich mit meinem Hund in die Lobby gehe, da die Besitzer selbst Hunde haben und es keine Konflikte geben sollte. Zudem musste ich einen separaten Ausgang nehmen. Ich fand das sehr unangebracht als Gast. Fühlte mich nicht willkommen und fand es sehr schade das wir so empfangen wurden.

Great location for hiking oeschensee. Great buffet breakfast. Great view from the room and it had a balcony. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Free parking and the place had a lift.

(annoyingly) standard in Switzerland there was no AC and no fan in the room (and no exhaust fan in the bathroom). You could open the windows but only one of them opened from the top (which meant others slamming closed in the wind). We had most open all night as it was warm. Luckily no biting bugs. But was a bit noisy from cars and lots of light while sleeping.

The host always smile at me and pretty responsive. Also provided a promotion code for the discount of cable cars The room is a bit old but it's cool to see several objects of decades ago. I stayed at a room with a balcony. Not so much surprising view but it's cozy to be there. It takes around 10 mins to walk from train station but not a bit deal. And it's quite a peaceful place

Free parking available. Nice view from the balcony. Wide selection on the breakfast buffet. Very yummy homemade jam, made by the chef :-) Very friendly staff.

Superb

Beautiful old traditional Swiss house. Loved the big wooden rooms and balcony view. Clean, Tidy, sound proof.

Would have loved if the hotel restaurant offered dinner too on weekends.

Superb

Spacious cozy room with a balcony, clean, great breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant which also serves delicious dinner, staff was very friendly and caring. Walking distance to Oeschinensee cable car and Kandersteg train station, grocery stores close-by, bus stop in front of the hotel.

Good stay in Kandersteg!

The room (4rth and last floor) was big and with a nice balcony with the view on the mountains. Good breakfast, not a lot of choice but very good quality!

The shower was old and small.

It's a nice, small, old fashioned, extremely clean, pet friendly hotel. The view from the terrace is breathtaking!

The breakfast is really basic. The rooms are a bit outdated.

The hotel and staff are amazing. Breakfast buffet is fresh with a nice assortment of yogurt, fresh bread, proteins and fruit. Also, the coffee is delicious.

Everything was well-prepared. The room was clean and spacious. Staffs were nice and friendly. Food in the restaurant is recommended! The hotel is not far from the train and cable car station.

Location was great with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The rooms were old , but clean and well kept.

The breakfast was limited. My wife wanted to sit in vacant area by the window but they insisted on us to stay in “our designated table”. staff were helpful but somewhat cold in how they communicated… I reserved two rooms but they only offered one room with a balcony and a view. when you come from a far away place the least that one can expect is full access to the beautiful views.

The hotel offers everything one needs for a wonderful stay in an area of great beauty.

Location: ideal as starting point for winter hikes. Oeschinensee cable car close by; free bus to Sunnbuel cable car. Shops close by. Station close by. Breakfast: very good, plenty of choice. Fresh fruit, fresh bread, eggs, cheese, cut meats, yoghurts, jams, honey, etc. Half-board was very reasonable: Dinner very good with friendly, helpful service. Room: large with a South-facing balcony (view towards the mountains). Sitting area with sofa and armchair. Small but adequate bathroom with excellent shower.

Hotel reception efficient and completely adequate. However, we felt that it lacked warmth and interest in guests. There were no friendly questions as to how we had spent our day, or what we had enjoyed. Kandersteg is such a beautiful area - we would have loved to share our enthusiasm more.

very good location, spacious and clean room, sunny terrace to take a coffee or meal, good half-board meal, very nice staff at the restaurant , good breakfast

miss some little things like a kettle and coffee machine in the room, some little attentions would be nice also like candies or new bottle of water everyday. a pity that there is no spa (only a sauna) the menu à la carte is below expectations

Very enjoyable stay with very friendly staff.

The hotel is a very cozy and cute hotel. Our stay was only for a night but the staff made a very good impression on us.

The beds were nice a spacious but the mattress could be better.
