About this cabin rental
Welcome to Paradise--Rainbow Point on Georgetown Lake. More than just a cabin, the Wilder Nest is light and airy, with an expansive view of the lake and Pintlar Mountains from the living areas, patio and deck. The floorplan is thoughtfully arranged on two levels to allow both private and community spaces. The main level is accessed by a stairless walkway from the drive to the deck and has two bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchen with breakfast bar, dining area and living room. The daylight basement has another two bedrooms, full bathroom, laundry and large family room.
Enjoy a 2 minute walk down the hill to the lake (less on a snowmobile) via the common area. A public boat launch is found within 5 minutes drive for those getting out on the water, and lake access for the cabin with dock is available at the common area. After a day of exploring what Georgetown Lake, Anaconda and Philipsburg have to offer, you can prepare your own meals with the propane BBQ or in a fully equipped kitchen, share conversation around the cozy fireplaces, or relax watching a video (now equipped with DirecTV and wireless internet). After a restful night on the comfortable beds, you will be re-energized for the next day's adventures. It does not get any better.

THE SMALL PRINT: In addition to the listed nightly occupancy rate and, if applicable, the $50 pet fee, there is a $165 property fee which covers incidentals such as internet and dock maintenance, and a $30 administrative charge to cover credit card processing incurred by using this system. HomeAway/VRBO will collect and remit the state lodging tax (raised to 8% in 2020) and also charges a HomeAway/VRBO service fee of 8-10%. These will be itemized separately when you receive a quote.

There were 4 bedrooms and a murphy bed in the family room. This worked for us because there were multiple families staying here. This house was in a great location. The house needs some updates and attention to bedding/linens.

We loved the views this house had. I reached out to the owner and asked if they had any ideas for what we could do and they gave us some fun ideas plus they had a paper there with trails rated from easier to harder we really loved that. For some reason the upstairs got pretty hot during the day but other than that it was an awesome stay and we definitely recommend staying here.

We enjoyed the location of the property and the views were amazing. On a good note, there were enough beds to accommodate our group which was a bonus. The access to the lake was nice and close by. The kitchen was decently stocked.
The place itself could use some updating (bedding, linens, kitchen items, actual building aesthetics, inside and outside furniture cushions, landscaping). Some windows could not be opened to get fresh/cool air due to the screens being ripped. No fault of the owners but we could not go outside in the evenings due to the bugs but that cannot be helped but thought it should be mentioned. Cleaning was not thorough before we arrived as we found used Zin packets on one of the bed posts. Also, for as much as we paid for the cleaning fee we still had to do a good amount of cleaning and putting away before we left.

Beautiful views from this home-away-from-home. Would absolutely accommodate a multi-family vacation. The property had everything we needed for an enjoyable trip. Very comfortable & clean. If you are looking for central air, you won’t find it here, but the window units worked just fine to cool down at night and we weren’t in it much during the day anyway. Minor issues with a bathroom light, but we simply used the other one. You’ll want to stop in Anaconda at the grocery store on your way through as well. Also note, that you will have a few minor “chores” to do prior to check out. Absolutely fine by us, but noteworthy if you’re looking for more of a hotel experience.

The view from the Wilder Nest cannot be matched. The host was attentive to our concerns. Three generations enjoyed alpine skiing, ice fishing, cross country skiing, sledding and more. We made some great memories during our time there.
