Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Staff, facility and food was amazing

Extensive breakfast, couldn't ask for anything more

Very little to fault at this place. Only negative would be the music in the corridors coming on so early in the morning.

Hotel de lujo, con varios espacios comunes y la mejor piscina del centro!

El hotel es de lujo y enorme comparado con otros hoteles del centro! Cuenta con varios espacios, restaurants, bar al aire libre, gym, etc. La mejor piscina de todo el centro amurallado, por su tamaño, ambiente y servicio. La atención de los empleados del hotel es excepcional, siempre dipuestos a ayudar. Alex en la piscina supo que estaba resfriada y me preparó un té con jengibre sin costo que me hizo muy bien!

Lo único que no me gustó fue que al hacer el check out ya habian inlcuido la propina por la estadía sin consultar. De todas formas al preguntar por ese concepto me dijeron que era opcional, y pude acordar el monto en el momento. Si no me daba cuenta, me la hubieran cobrado dentro de los demás gastos, y eran 18usd por dia.

Lástima el estado de este hotel legendario.

El restaurante y el servicio

La falta de mantenimiento, increíble que en un hotel de esta categoría. No funcionaba el TV, el aire acondicionado falló, sucio en los pasillos, el paso al área del jacuzzi sucia y desordenada, no había servicio en esa zona. Nos alojamos en las habitaciones 416 y 417 que además no estaban señalizadas y fue complicada la ubicación. No se percibe ahora un lugar exclusivo y menos de lujo como se oferta y se cobra.

Enjoyed the stay and hospitality

Spectacular location in the walled city, amazing view if you got the right rooms.. Spotless cleaning in the rooms, second to nothing.. Staff amazingly helpful and friendly. Staff go above and beyond the line of duty to listen and help. Services are fabulous… Kitchen staff are professionally friendly. Buffet is one of the best in town if not the best.. Room services and housekeeping second to none

Beautiful historical building, exceptional staff (super polite, friendly and always ready to help the guests with their requests. Marvelous breakfast. Extremely convenient location (close to all the sights and restaurants). Very nice shops with artisanal products.

Amazing hotel stay in the Walled City

Everything! The grounds were well kept in a good location. when you first arrive, you are greeted by Bell hops that are dressed the part. The staff overall was great. Carlos was assigned to walk me to my room and he gave me such a personalized experience. I would go back for the staff alone. They really make you feel special. I always felt safe. They also have a wide variety for breakfast and it was always good.

Honestly, everything was good. If I has to say anything, it would be that you have to keep the room pretty cold too avoid condensation on the floor, but Cartagena is hot in general so this is expected.

A must stay when in Cartagena!

The ideal location to stay in the walled city. Beautiful facilities and the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is really one of best you could ask for. We were just passing through for one night but already booked our next stay here to stay longer.

Beautiful, luxurious and expensive

Breakfast in the old courtyard was delightful, the room was big and very comfortable, coffee machine and kettle in the room, the pool and gym were very good, great service from the staff, lovely old buildings.

Bikes in the gym were out of order. The 10% service charge on the total bill was unexpected: it was clearly presented as optional but I would prefer not to be surprised at checkout.

The great variety and freshness of the food and fruits and also the amazing service from all the staff.

A small area of the of the building is going under renovation as result there was a cordoned area that make looks a bit messy otherwise is a stunning building with an amazing history through the centuries.

Would be great to go back there!

The staff and the facilities were excellent and in a great location.

We booked a six course tasting menu in the 400 year old convent dining room the 1621. When we arrived we were told that they had over booked and we would be eating outside with no AC and a weddding disco blasting behind us. As we booked late that day it was clear they knew they had no indoor space at the time of booking. This was the only disappointment in an otherwise really excellent stay.

beautiful setting in a converted old convent (worth a visit even if not staying overnight), very charming. lovely staff, super caring (thank you Jimmy, I even got to practice my very rough Spanish:). delicious food (breakfast especially), fabulous cocktails at El Coro bar. amazing pool - one of fews I actually want to stay at the whole day.

Lovely hotel, amazing pool and food, only gripe is the rooms are a touch small for what is a very expensive hotel, but I do understand as its situated within a monastery. The staff are amazing, and the location, plants and general atmosphere in the hotel is superb. The kids club is great as a place for the kids to hang out. The gym is very good, pool is large, and the team looking after you at the pool are superb. Its a little noisy at night, as its close to the road, and as mentioned its not cheap.

we had an unfortunate incident where our airport transfer didn’t turn up which we booked through the hotel. the staff were very apologetic and made up for it in lots of ways
