It was an exceptional stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of the space, combining both modern and traditional aesthetics. There were several little nooks that added surprise as we slowly discovered them at our own pace. We were delighted with the showcase of local ceramics and tea, and the welcome tea started us on our little tea journey, the start of a relaxing two days spent here. There was plenty of seating all around the ryokan, to relax, to wait, to medidate, to just stare into nature… A big thank you to all the staff we met, from the station pick up to the small conversations at breakfast. Looking forward to visit again at a different season to experience it anew.

the main lobby and the hot sprint area
I reserved a guest room for four people, but it turned out to be smaller than I anticipated. The refrigerator is outdated, and the overall interior of the room appears old and uninviting. Considering that I paid nearly 40K for just one night, this experience is completely unacceptable.

installation art everywhere inside the hotel, the view from 9F is satisfying. there’s lots to do in the hotel (bath / gallery / bookshop / tea saloon etc.)
the dining room (for kaiseki dinner) could use some sound proofing

The entrance, lobby and the shops is renovated beautifully. Staffs gave me a great service.
The guest room building is very old. I stayed in Japanese Style room that looks too old and I smell smoking from my bathroom.

Old style onsen ryokan with new annex, restaurants, a bar, tea-lobby, shops, art gallery, outdoor foot spa, terraces. A comfortable place to stay!
Auch whooha… the onsen is sooo hot! We liked our spacious room, but it really needs an update: the pink carpet with stains, old floor in the bathroom (black under the sink) and molt on the walls/ceiling in the bath/douche area.

The staff are polite.
The hot spring location took some steps to arrive and can't be reached simply by elevator.

Great hotel with great price. Buffet breakfast is fantastic. Definitely will stay again

Excellent value for the basic room that we had, that comes with the hotel's facilities including nice and big onsen. Breakfast included is a buffet type that is perfect for family. Food quality and diversity was also excellent. The art works and items for purchase & curated in the hotel are also specially nice.
