The hotel has a lot of character - the rooms are clean and modern. The hotel pools are great and the beach is wonderful. The onsite restaurant is very good and has a nice selection. Short walk to the Salt Mills make this a very attractive place to stay. I do believe it is the best value for money in the area.
Nothing comes to mind...

The quietness
I didn't like that I was not placed in the room I paid for which stated ocean view not partial ocean view is what I got. they over charged me for a deposit and said they didn't. I had to call my bank to make sure they didn't have hidden fees that they added. sworm of bugs outside of my back door when I'm coming in and out of room no elevator to get on my floor. Pots and pans all scraped up microwave with rust furniture stained by cups. Off white sheets and towels. Smell of sulfur from water. Also didn't tell us water will be going off and on one of the mornings I stayed.

Beautiful beachfront property. Beautiful grounds. Well kept.
Only one restaurant. Have to make dinner reservations there well in advance.
3.5 / 5.0
Good location, good for a family trip, nice beach, ok pool, poor service at the restaurant next to the pool. Helpless at the front desk.
The restaurant by the pool has a poor service. Waitresses were not nice. We waited forever for food. They just took ordered and never returned.

the property had a
nice layout and was right on the beach with a reasonably priced, excellent restaurant on site.
our unit had a few minor items needing repair.

Good location, spacious rooms, friendliness of some of the staff, nice beach
Overpriced piece of paradise. Seen better and cheaper places in the world. The beach girls were no where to find, they would stroll down the beach just once a day, most of the time we had to go and take our drinks from the bar ourselves. The lady at the shop was unfriendly all of the time

The Sands has very nice and comfortable rooms. My children love the pools. Being able to enjoy both the pools and the beautiful beach/ocean so easily makes for a perfect family vacation!
Restaurants and shops in Grace Bay are a short walk away which is very convenient.

Staff very accommodating, beach chairs and umbrellas were readily available and at no extra cost. Beach location was great and able to walk for miles.

The Beach is beautiful! The day before we left, some seaweed. The Hotel room was fully furnished, loved the kitchen/dining area, especially having dw, washing/dryer machines.
We stayed for our 25th wedding anniversary. It would have been hospitable for the staff to welcome the celebration when we arrived or in our room. No elevators! Restaurant Hemmingways was fair taste

The staff was excellent here. The facilities are very spacious and the screened in Verandas are largest in area.....just needing updating. Great location. Fabulous beach.
Hemingways is so convenient and great food and drinks.

Best beach in the Caribbean!

It was not the room or view as advertised. They refused to give room as advertised or lower the rate since it was not 1062 square feet, or layout, or view of beach. This was a bait a switch booking which is very unethical.
Not as Advertised.

the beach is lovely
the resort is ugly and most balconies face a desolate wasteland, staff are on the whole lazy and can’t be bothered to move, gym is dated (everything is broken and it’s in a damp squalid basement)
2.5 / 5.0
completely overpriced and the Island is completely underrated.
The beach is beautiful, that’s not doubt but nothing you can not find in Cancun, Varadero, Bahamas, Barbados, Curaçao…..
Prices are definitely more higher than any other Island.
You can definitely stay in a better hotel for the same price at any other Island.
98% of the staff was friendly except the lady at the gift shop and Malayiah at the front desk when I checked out.
Definitely not a 4 star hotel, I’ll give this hotel 3 stars.
The only good thing is that has access to the beach and it is beautiful.

The pool and beach access were clean, well-kept, and private. I never had a problem finding a chair, there was good umbrella availability, and the grounds were kept clean.
The bathroom fixtures were rusted or broken -- the shower door was busted and hung off its track. There was a small mini-fridge in the room but NO readily available drinking water (the tap water was very sulfuric and not recommended by hotel staff). I repeat: the only way to obtain drinking water was to purchase it yourself from the convenience store or the restaurant. This posed an enormous problem to me, a solo traveler, when I was incapacitated by food poisoning (from a restaurant in town) and could not leave my room, and poses a problem to ANY guest who needs a drink of water after business hours. Luckily, the hotel manager comped me a bottle of drinking water and had someone bring it up to my room, but my request was initially met with "we don't have room service so I don't know where the water will come from." For a 4-star hotel, having readily-available drinking water should be the absolute minimum provided service here.

It was the perfect location, the perfect price, and the best staff! The beach was beautiful! There were always chairs and umbrellas available. The pool staff went out of their way to be accommodating, as did the lobby staff. The store was not overpriced in comparison to other shops.
An adult only pool. There were MANY young children (babies) that cried and screamed. There were also some children unsupervised at the pool that were running around and didn't have a lot of respect for the adults in the pool or lounging around the pool.
The units are not very soundproof. You can hear everyone's conversation in other units and outside.

Great Value! When you don’t want to pay $600+ a night for a room, stay here and you won’t be disappointed. On site easy parking. Hotel is made up of 3 story complexes, no elevator. Large sitting area, screened in porch, washer and dryer, and mini fridge. Located close to shopping and downtown. Hemingways has good food and service. Beautiful pool and courtyard. Pictures online don’t do it justice. Free hobie kat rentals were our personal favorite! Covid tests $25.
Mattress is stiff as a board. Can’t get a Covid test if you change resorts outside their group.
