I really enjoyed my stay at Pure Magic Lodge - the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast service was excellent and I the pizzas were exceptional. There was live music in the bar on one of the nights which was an unexpected bonus. The location is ideal - within walking distance of the deserted village and Dugort beach and a short drive from Keel and Keem beaches. It was a great base for exploring the island and I would definitely consider staying at the lodge again if returning to Achill.

Relaxing Atmosphere
If you are going to local pub for drinks, need to think about lifts - difficult to get taxi.

The price was great and the restaurant on site was ideal and really good value for money.
No en suite as advertised. Private bathroom anyway but across a sometimes busy hall.

Great food, excellent staff, fantastic facilities and a really lovely atmosphere. Perfect venue for teenagers with pool table and lounge for hanging out in and playing cards. Family room was great.
Both mattresses and pillows in our rooms were very uncomfortable and could do with being replaced.

Beautiful location, lovely and spacious room, very clean, nice and comfy bed. Bathroom clean, no comlains.
Breakfast was a disaster. If Gordon Ramsay was there he would say what the hell!...... We sat in the breakfast room and we kindly asked if its okay to sit in the pool room, because there was some baby birthday party at 8:30 am- the noise was unbearable and that was accepted. Basically we've been waiting for the breakfast sustained off two poached eggs and a few bits of mushrooms on the toast for over 40 minutes just with the cup of coffee and nothing else. I don't understand why we weren't served faster, why there was no continental option on display like in the other places. Just put few jars with cereal, milk, a toaster with bread, coffee machine if you are not able to serve people. We would gladly help ourselves while waiting for the hot breakfast. There was no kettle in the room, why? I understand that you need to make money to survive but give your customers some basics as well.
