We absolutely loved our stay here ! The location was perfect ! Close to everything. Lake George less than 20 mins away and Stewart's gas station right across the road for last min things or ice cream after dinner ! The owners were soooooo nice and accommodating! Very pleasant and helpful ! We loved all the trees around the property. Very shady ! And steps away from the lake. We will be back for sure. Thank you !

My husband, myself, and our pup had a truly relaxing mini vacay from Sunday to Thursday at Elms Waterfront Cottages! Hassle free from the start! I needed to make a date change and was easily accommodated, and when we arrived later than we expected, there was note with instructions….go to cabin x and the keys are there. We did pay extra for housekeeping but that was well worth it,the 2 women were so friendly and didn’t charge much. The location was great, right on a small section of the Hudson River. Grassy with big trees, lounges, picnic benches, and a coal BBQ. No one bothers u with lots of rules, and if you’re a decent human being, you know right from wrong. We enjoyed the free rowboats, water trikes, kayaks, and fishing in the lake. Our dog probably had the best time out of all….running free, chasing ducks and squirrels….just being a dog! I think early September is an amazing time to go…rates are discounted and the crowds are gone. So if you’re interested in the Lake George area, but aren’t into crowds and tourism….check out Elms Waterfront Cottages. I think you’ll be very glad you did!

Everything was very clean. Owner was amazingly responsive to all our questions. We would love to return and take advantage of more of the activities. Everyone enjoyed being on the water in the pontoon and paddle boats.

Loved our short visit to the Elms. So peaceful and relaxing setting on the screened in porch watching the water, the wildlife, and the rafters in the distance. So grateful I was able to bring my fur baby with me. Thank you

Perfect little cabin right on the Hudson River. Very quiet, yet close to local shops and food. Plenty of activities for all ages. Even live music on Sunday evenings. Will be back

It was a lovely property unfortunately mother nature did not cooperate but nonetheless we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin overlook the lake with a nice screened in porch situated halfway between Saratoga Springs and Lake George we were able to keep busy in spite of the weather

The Elms
My husband and our two daughters ages 13and 6 stayed at Lake Luzerne for three nights and our only regret is not staying longer! Chandler (owner andproperty manager) was always available and extremely helpful and a wealth of knowledge. Great family’s stayed in the cabins around us and the beach was delightful. The cabins and the property grounds were clean and well maintained. This was an amazing vacation for my family and I and we will be back!

Nice family getaway
We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. We have 3 children ranging from 9 to 14. They very much enjoyed the various water sports, particularly the tubing tied to a Pontoon boat, which is brand new and beautiful. Highly recommend renting it. The owner (Chandler) is very helpful. Our puppy also enjoyed playing on the beach with other dogs. We made friends with the neighbors from the next cabins. Nice people /nice environment. Pack enough clothes though, there’s no washing machine or dryer. Overall it was a very relaxing getaway and kids didn’t even bother turning on the TV during our stay. To me that’s a successful vacation.

Poor condition in Cabin. Left one day early
For the price per night, I would expect to have no mold in the shower, a bed I could sleep in without rolling in the middle, clean tables and floor. The wall next to the stove has bubbling. one outlet worked and no curtain in the bathroom! Cabins real close and constant traffic in front of porch to get to the beach. The life jackets smelt like old laundry and was so dirty it was sticky. We left one day early so I could take a shower. I'm a avid camper so I'm fully aware of what to expect but this cottage not worth the money and was very deceiving on the VRBO site. This is why I'm reluctant to trust these sites, now I know why. Totally waste of money.

Great property
Property was a great size and layout. Cabins were very clean and organized. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Several options for non motorized water sports which was nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful! The weather during our stay wasn’t the best but made the best of it and the screened in porch was nice to sit and relax on, and when we had to sit inside it was nice to have a tv that had options for Netflix etc... we would like to come back and stay longer! :)

Cabins were very close and we had to share a firepit. It would have been nice to have one comfortable chair or couch in the place. Beds were not comfortable at all. And the futon cover was not changed between guests. The screened in porch was very nice and being right on the water was nice as well as being able to use kayaks and rent a pontoon boat right there was very convenient. The people in the office were also very friendly and helpful.

Great time, would definitely return.
This property is well managed, and the view was awesome. Sat out by the fire pit at night, and spent most of the days on our boat sight seeing and fishing. Just the getaway we needed.

Long weekend in Lake Luzerne
This was a wonderful, relaxing, family friendly, getaway weekend. My 2 1/2 year old son was constantly busy with the playground, the nice, sandy beach (which got nice and warm in the afternoon) or just digging in the rocks while we relaxed in lawn chairs. We enjoyed using the boats and aqua trike, as well as took advantage of the pontoon rental. The resort was a little closer to town than I realized (it boarders against a main road), but from the lake any noice became muffled white noise, and close proximity to Stewarts Ice Cream is always good! My only recommendation is that there was very little cooking supplies in the kitchen. There were plenty of plates etc, but I fortunately brought my own skillet, cutting board, and knives, otherwise cooking a larger meal (there were 4 adults) would have been difficult. So if you are planning on cooking, you may want some of your own supplies. Otherwise this weekend was just the kind of end of summer getaway we wanted! We would certainly go back again!

Perfect weekend for family with teens
Yes, the Matters was too soft for bad backs, and it took a long long time to ever get any warm-hot water in the cottage, but we loved having our own fire pit and access to the kayaks when’re we wanted. Played a little basketball even though we never got enough people rounded up to use the volleyball net. So close to whitewater rafting, and supplies at the gas stations as needed. The river was beautiful and for a camp with so many cottages it was very peaceful. Wonderful weekend!

sleeping & amenities
Mattress we had was HORRIBLE! Deep depression in middle, both my husband and I came away with back problems.
Also, kitchen supplies were sparse and mostly lacking. Floors were not clean.

Such a great location! It was great to be able to use all of the amenities such as kayaks and paddle boards. The cottages were quaint and clean. The staff was kind and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for a weekend getaway!

Beautiful Area, close to Lake George
Enjoyed spending time on the water. Easy access to kayaks. Close to Lake George and great hiking. Owner very friendly.
Down side,... I thought I had a cottage with a screened in porch and not in the lodge. Since I was in the lodge had lots of people I don’t know walking past my glass slider doors.
Over all enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful!!! The cabin was adorable and had just what we needed for a night away.
Next time I will definitely book for more than one night so we can enjoy all of the amenities. Only recommendation I have is bring your own life jacket if you dont want to use the ones available.

very good
really loved the fact that you could just grab a boat or kayak and enjoy the water property is how it us listed but things could be fixed like holes in screens in porch, but overall had a great time
