There is a guided tour for us to searching penguins! Very interesting!

The location near a private beach.
The opportunity to see penguins .
The restaurant meal was really good
Room.advertised as a more expensive "beach view" but the view was thru a window with bird shit and cobwebs over it.
Toilet was leaking thru the seal with the S bend.
Heat lamp in bathroom had blown globe.
All window corners heavily cobwebbed.
Room was advertised as self contained but kitchen had 3 plates, 2 cups, 1 fork and no bowls. Coffee and tea were the cheapest sachets available and there were no artificial sweeteners.
Fridge had a missing retainer on the bottom of the door so there was nowhere to stand bottles upright in the fridge.
Sign in kitchen threatened a $35 fee if you didn't wash up.
Penguin show is not a "show", it's a hunt.
Guide for the penguin hunt on 1st night had very soft voice and heavy Asian accent and difficult to understand. On 2nd night a different guide had soft voice and French accent and difficult to understand. Having a guide at all was totally redundant.
Restaurant server was terrible, looked like it was her first night. Getting things like a glass of water or a wine bucket was like pulling teeth. We weren't even asked if we wanted a drink while waiting to order. And she had to be told to put ice in the wine bucket. All she did was take orders, deliver food and drink, and saunter around the room as if she was on a Paris catwalk.
Wine bottle was virtually dropped onto the table unopened and she walked away. We had to open it ourselves.
Restaurant was closed on Friday night coz it was chef's night off... WTF!
Resort is for sale so I don't think they give a shit about return custom.

OMG, we stayed in a beach front villa. A very comfortable town house style unit with spectacular views of Diamond Island. We woke to the sounds of penguins heading out to sea for the day. Would recommend this stay to anyone travelling the east coast of Tasmania.
Nothing. The location and staff were amazing. We had a late change to our arrival date which the staff approved without extra charge.

Great 'quiet' location! Lots of room and good kitchen facilities etc.
Nothing

Exquisite natural coastal feature location.
Kitchen cleaning part of T&C’s: extra charges mentioned.
No breakfast ono
Dinner menu expensive and popular (cheaper) dishes not available.
Not much guiding or local knowledge presented regarding penguins on the tour.
Loose pavers outside sliding doors a bit dangerous.

Location, clean, friendly and the penguin viewing.
A broom and dust pan and brush in the room would have been great.

Such a beautiful spot, has everything you need. Short stroll to the beach. Very roomy and comfortable accommodation. Bonus of the local wildlife (penguins, wallabies and a wombat) Thankyou for a relaxing stay, we will be back.

Everything about the resort. The rooms, restaurant and environment are so wonderful . Penguin sighting is an added value.

The location is splendid. It was wonderful to see the penguins actually on the property.
Nothing.

Room was nice enough. Strong freshly painted smell. Rough paint job going over door handles and tiles. Furniture a little mismatched. Bed alright. Beach area very nice.
Restaurant food was terrible. All dishes ordered were as if they had reheated very old food, from the old bread, the tough so-called slow cooked beef to the old dry desserts.
The penguin experience is not worth staying here for, you don't get to the main show on the beach, instead a platform behind the main nesting area where you may or may not get a glimpse of a penguin.

Cosy cottage feel. Enjoyed the penguins
lighting in the unit was terrible, either far too harsh or far too dim. felt very dated

Great spot to stay Walked along beach out to island in morning. Went along to Penguin watching that night no luck but we did see one wandering later that night so don't give up

We booked a 4 person room then I requested a ground floor room as we were travelling with elderly parents. The property manager contacted us and advised there were no ground floor rooms for 4 people so they provided 2 x 2 person rooms, one directly upstairs from the other, at no additional costs. Very generous.
The 'complimentary' penguin tour was very appealing for us and as such we did not join other paying tours anywhere else around Tasmania knowing this tour was included. Unfortunately, on the night of our tour, our little furry friends were not interested in appearing for us! Had we known the tour booked through other providers in town was in a different location/operated by a different company, we would have booked with them to view the penguins earlier in the night as well as attending the complimentary tour. We have no complaints about the complimentary tour as no-one can predict wildlife behaviour, but if promotion included information about different viewing opportunities, that would have been helpful.

Comfortable bed. Restaurant on site. Great location. Easy parking.
No hooks in bathroom or shower ledges. Prefer to not have another unit above

Great location. On-site facilities (restaurant, recreation room etc) were good. Great view of the beach from the room. Room had good kitchen facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The penguins were the highlight - just needed to be patient to see them.
We booked for three - two adults and a child. However, the crockery, cutlery etc were only for two.
Some maintenance needed in the room eg bathroom door didn’t close properly, toilet ran.

The location was fabulous. Close to the beach and other local activities. Restaurant food was quite good.
The property was a little on the tired side. It definitely needs some TLC to help make it a great place to stay in Bicheno.

location, room was clean, great views. not that we had our daughter or had a dog, heaps of room for kids to play outside and dog friendly
walked to the island and back.
saw 🐧 🐧 🐧
wasn't a fan of the menu nothing to our liking
the staff member who organised the penguin viewing needs to be educated on penguins. not give out two torches and then no instructions, letting people make noise and let people wander around with kids making noise.
for those that know anything about the little guys, people need to be quiet and not shine torches on them. it's a privilege to be able to see them in their natural way of life at night. not to scare them away.

good view and restaurant was very nice good
not clean, not enough inventory, 5th bed was a sofa and couldn’t open it properly as there wasn’t enough room, shower head and tap were bad

Location was lovely!
The penguin show is non existent! I booked paying extra because it’s said there is an included show. We waited til 10pm and one penguin came past. It should not be advertised as a free penguin tour there is no tour.

Beachfront location was great
More expensive than other hotels but thought it was worthwhile as it included the penguins. They no longer watch the penguins come up the beach, instead you stand on a platform up from the beach. We failed to see any penguins & the staff member was unable to answer questions & made it clear he didn’t want to be there. Very disappointing
