This property was full of charm and peacefulness. It was well stocked with all the things you often forget when traveling. The only thing I didnt see was a fire alarm.

It was cute and perfect. We spent alot of time just chilling on the deck just watching the loons and geese. You could watch turtles come near the dock too. Great place for a couple to stay!

This rental is so adorable. Perfect for a couple on a weekend getaway. The deck on the lake is so peaceful and quiet. Stunning views of Fall foliage. It rained most of our weekend but we were still able to use the deck since it’s covered thankfully. The interior is super cute and very clean. Lots of kitchen utensils/pans. Everything we needed to make meals. The fridge is a mini fridge- keep that in mind when packing. The outside does need some TLC (solar lights not working, lots of spider webs and bugs on screen) but definitely NOT a game changer. We really enjoyed our time and would love to come back again!

My wife and I choose to stay in this little piece of heaven for our son's wedding that was nearby in Vermont. The view is peaceful and on a clear night, all you see is the sky lit up with what looks like a zillion stars twinkling. The space is perfect for two people. This is a special and unique property. The owner was available and willing to help. Thank you, Deda!

My fiancé and I both loved our stay. We are still talking about how peaceful it was just sitting on the deck looking out at the water while listening to loons, frogs, and fish. We were lucky enough to be greeted by a bald eagle twice over our first two days. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

My husband & I found the cabin on French Pond to be so relaxing & tranquil. We did have a few days of rain, the week of our trip, but this did not dampen our stay as the deck offered coverage & the loon, and other birds, entertainment.
The cabin itself was very comfortable.
We had excellent Cell phone reception. No tv - but not really missed as we spent most of our waking hours on the deck to watch birds or read or just enjoy the beauty & sounds of pond life.
We took our time carrying our bags & boxes of items from the parking spot down to the cabin (we are both in our mid-60’s so are extra mindful of safety).
The shower has great water pressure but is rather small so a person of size might find it to be a tight squeeze.
Communication with Deda was easy as she responded to any inquiries I sent to her quickly.
We started talking about a return trip as soon as we left this lovely vacation spot.

The cabin is cozy inside - but really the Deck is remarkable sitting on the deck is almost as if you have gone into a different world - loons, turtles, frogs on lilly pads
Perfect in every way

It's a nice little cabin with everything in good condition and what we needed. It has a great view of the pond with a very nice deck that extends right over the water. We had several loon sightings, even a few within 20-30 feet. It was amazingly quiet - no motor boats on the pond and one could barely hear the occasional car.
On the negative side, it is not easily accessible if you have any mobility issues - a lot of steps down from the parking area. Also, being near the pond, there are a LOT of bugs, many of which try very hard to get inside. The bed was a bit soft for us as well.
But with the beautiful pond, being very close to the White Mountains, and a good price, it gets 5 stars from us.

The whole experience in this area of New Hampshire was just what my wife and I needed. The cabin and pond were so tranquil and peaceful with a ton of activities to do in the surrounding area. We went zip lining and hiked lost river gorge. Also got a fishing license and found shed right off the porch. Wonderful setting and everything was just as advertised. A perfect getaway for two

Very nice! Can’t be closer to the water
I really enjoyed this place! I loved the turtles and the loons. Great views and beautiful sunsets. The only complaint I have is the windows were fairly dirty, and kept from having the best view of the water.

Memorable
I couldn't have asked for a better stay! I spent each morning on the deck well before sunrise listening and watching the world come alive.

Perfect Getaway!
This short stay was for our mini-moon after getting married. We loved it. The cabin was the perfect size for us and I love sitting outside or on the bench seat overlooking the water. We saw the loons each day. It has great amenities, the bed was comfy and the whole process was easy from start to finish. Thank you!

Looking for peace and quiet? This is the place!!!
We can't say enough about our stay here!!! The cottage was just as listed, absolutely beautiful and clean inside, with every amenity that you could possibly need. The kitchen was fully outfitted and the gas grill worked beautifully... we cooked in every night. Sitting on the deck with our coffee in the morning and our glass of wine at night was absolute heaven! I enjoyed fishing from my kayak, and my wife spent hours watching the birds and the turtles. A lot of stairs to navigate when arriving and leaving, but totally worth it. When we had one minor issue, Deda was very responsive, and I honestly cannot think of a single thing that could be improved upon! Such a peaceful and beautiful spot, we hope to come back again soon!!!

Beautiful!
I absolutely loved staying here, it was beautiful. The bugs on the back porch would get a little crazy at night, but they weren't mosquitos and if you turned the light off they stayed away! Couldn't have been happier with our visit

Short solitude
Looking for a few days of quite and nature and this cottage is just right for two to find it. Great location right on the water. The Loon family was an added treat to watch. Very clean and updated. Be aware and understanding of the small bathroom, and the Murphy bed may not suite those with back problems.

Country oasis
Deda and Nancy were very receptive to all questions we had, and great hosts. The cabin was clean (a top concern for us) and very private. We used the gas grill every night and the recent addition of WiFi made planning easier. We enjoyed the farmers market at Four Corners Farm just across the boarder in Vermont, and a drive in movie theater in Fairlee. The lake/pond seems best enjoyed with a water toy. Kayaks and paddle boards were logistically hard to get, but we got by with some cheap rafts from Walmart. I would highly recommend this retreat to reset and unwind.

Exactly as described
My husband and I enjoyed 4 days here. We loved how cozy but open the cottage is. The deck right IN the water was awesome. We even saw a few turtles swim by which was a treat for me! I love seeing wildlife. There were also two Loons (birds, not people) everyday of our stay. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one before. They dive under the water. It’s pretty neat. My husband enjoyed fishing off the deck while I paddled around in my kayak (brought from home). Getting into the water with the kayak was a piece of cake! There is a small dock to on the side of the cottage to use for this.
Cleanliness was ok. But we’re also in the middle of a pandemic sooo, I get it. No big deal.
Recommendations: a radio would have been awesome since there’s no tv or internet service. We went and bought a little handheld. Also, binoculars would have been amazing. There were some really cool birds - that’s more of an extra I suppose. :)
Overall would definitely recommend. It’s a great little place to stay.

Loons Nesting nearby made the experience even better!
Small issue with Hot water heater but am sure that will be addressed for future stays.
Very well appointed. Look forward to visiting again!
