It was a pleasure to come back to Aleksandria, and am looking forward to show up again. This time I traveled with two colleagues and stayed in a bigger room. It is quite amazing how effective the staff is at keeping things almost fully functional even in times of war. Other than the times when the power goes out in the neighborhood, everything works as intended.
During times of curfew (00:00 to 5:00 AM during my stay) the staff would lock the main entrance door and the guard would go to sleep, making it difficult to leave the premises even if we did have authorization to roam during curfew. Still, nothing complicated that couldn't be fixed.

Great and friendly staff. Were able to accommodate early check-in and late check out which we appreciated VERY MUCH.
Nice lobby and restaurant. Bright, decently sized rooms. Clean. Good size bathroom. Clean sheets and towels. Room had kettle and fridge and a nice entry way before the bedroom. Good non-central location - lots of useful places nearby.
These were not deterrents or deal breakers for us, but rather easy recommendations for improvement.
Some furniture hinges need tuning up.
Bathroom door needs a good wipe on the inside.
Heat was not on in the room, reception had to add batteries to turn on the heat (but accommodated quickly when asked).
Phone in the room did not seem to work, so had to walk to reception (not a big deal, but then it should be either taken out of the room, or connected properly).
Free Wi-Fi was nice, but I wish there was a faster option, even if paid (getting work done was a bit slow).
Spa/Sauna was not functioning currently.

I booked a room for 2 people. But there was only 1 towel, 1 pair of sleepers, and 1 one-person blanket on the bed.

Good location. Restaurant was very good.great prices

I like that there were 3 beds in separate rooms, it's great for family of 4 or 5. I also like that it was near where i have an appointment the next morning.
The room smells like cigarette smoke and the water from the shower comes out yellow. The tub needs a good cleaning. The lady at the front desk spoke Russian to me during the check-in, although i tried to converse in Ukrainian.

The only good thing I have to say regarding this hotel is - the host was a nice and friendly person. It has a good location only if you are going to the US Embassy, and it was hard to get to the city center because the metro station was 15 mins away from it.
I didn't like the hotel, since it was too old, the room was small, and it didn't have good light. Concerning the bed, it was small, noisy, and uncomfortable. They didn't even put a bottle of water in my room, but they put more than 6 cups there :) I don't know for what..

Very friendly staff at reception. They checked me in earlier. Nice and comfy room with small refrigerator and shower. Close to the food market and restaurants

Location isn't dreamy but handy - 5 min of staright walk to the metro. Placed by blocks of flats, you're not surrounded by tourists but by regular people (which l actually did like a lot). The footpath to get there is very dark in the night.
I loved its old school hotel mood, the place is well maintained, so clean you could eat from the floor in the corridors. Very spacious room equipped in kettle and small fridge, dining table, shelves and wardrobes - it's a wee apartment really. Soviet style restaurant on site with very affordable prices.

Room was quite big, all hotel rooms have air conditioner which is a huge plus in the summer.

Very friendly staff. There is a restaurant at the ground floor which serves good breakfast and lunch for a very good price. Spacious and comfortable room. There was daily cleaning service.
There were very few power plugs in the bedroom (I could find only two and one of them was very far from the bed). There was only one very small rubbish bin in the room and this was in the bathroom so I had to go there every time to throw rubbish. Water in the shower took long time to heat up.

I was told I can check in early but when I arrived, there was no room ready nor I can check in early.
The room was comfortable but dated.
showers/tub had no curtains so water spilled on the floor and no toilet paper.
late night staff had very little info on the area.
day staff was better and more helpful

I had to pay a HIGHER rate to use a card because I was a tourist and even locals need to pay EXTRA to stay in the hotel.

The old buckled carpets in the lobby were trip hazards. The staff was sleeping in some room when we arrived. Our room was very old and filthy. There was an unknown dried brown substance on the bathroom floor. The room stunk. It was facing the streetlights, and the curtains didn’t block any of the light coming in. We slept on top of the blankets.

the shower is huge
