I really like the friendliness of the staff and the location of the property to the center of Zihuatanejo at a very good price.

The AC could not be controlled very well, they need a blanket.

Can’t beat it for price and location. Great air con and wifi. Comfy bed. Very clean. Near town but not noisy. Had fridge and access to microwave. Tiny pool good for kids. NOT luxury in any way, shape or form but I’d def stay there again. Owner and son super helpful and nice.
Could use a little updating but that’s minor.

The staff were awesome. Brian was always smiling and spoke English. The cleaning lady was friendly and did an over and above job with cleaning our room. Chrr we istian was so helpful with all our questions on the where to go to enjoy our stay.
I was disappointed with the indoor pool. There was no railings to get in or out for seniors. I prefer an outdoor pool with accessibility to get in and get out. Therewere no railings on the stairs. I had a difficultt time using the 17 stairs. I had to hang on to the wall

This is a budget hotel. Don't expect anything more. Beds are cozy. Staff are great. Everything is good. Lovely inexpensive accommodation

Friendly staff, very clean, free bottled water. Big fridge.Wifi ok. Quiet. Close to restaurants, shops. Beach 20 minute walk.
Pool was in a corner by itself by the front desk, no chairs, table or sun. Only patio door for outside light and it's right beside front desk. Two small ugly bathroom windows. Beds were not comfortable. Hardly no kitchen utensils for cooking. No microwave, really old grungy toaster. Had to ask for kitchen knife, dish cloth and soap. Only one very old shelf unit for storing clothes, no hooks, hangers. Very outdated.

Las Salinas was a great little hotel, ideally located just behind the main road where all the Collectivos run. So central, but quiet – with a security gate closed every night.
The friendly owner, Christian, originally from France but living in Mexico for over 40 years, was happy to up-grade us to a larger “family” room when we realized we wanted more space and cooking facilities for our 9 nights’ stay. It was worth paying the extra for the extra comfort.
The room was well equipped and cleaned, with fresh towels, every day. Christian and his family were helpful and welcoming and we would happily stay with them another time.
The hotel was within easy walking distance of the Municipal Market, our excellent dentist, and the town beach. Zihua is full of very reasonably priced shops and restaurants … and strolling on the wide promenade beside the sea in the evening is a colourful, musical experience.
Our French friend from last year, Frederic, took us out for a wonderful day on the water, whale watching. Find him at Mero Tours.
Buy your ticket from El Centro de Autobuses for the best luxury coaches when you need to move on. We liked ETN bus company, but it depends on your destination which company you can use.

The cleaning lady did an excellent job considering what she has to work with.
Beds were absolutely terrible. It is noisy at night. Ants everywhere.

Christian and Brian are very helpful and Christian speaks 4 languages. They both speak good English and have a great knowledge of the area. The price of the hotel is well within anyones budget and the rooms are kept spotlessly clean
My only gripe was the how close to the wall the toilet was, though not all rooms are the same every thing else was great. It's about 800 metres to the beach but I loved the exercise and I saw different things every day

no hot water in the shower, no blankets on the beds, cleaning lady kept shutting the air conditioner off when we were gone very little time, pillows were very hard

The location was outstanding and easy to get to.
The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but all the people are extremely nice. I have made many friends there.

I loved that this was a family-run hotel. It was safe, clean, and friendly and a good value for the price.

The owner Christian and his son Brian were great hosts (plus housekeeper and night watchman). My wife and I stayed for three weeks in February and had a great time. We were in walking distance of two beaches, numerous restaurants/bars and the market. The hotel is very clean and just far enough out of the centre that it is quiet.
Our room lacked outside space such as a balcony. However I was told by another guest at the hotel that there were tables and chairs in the lobby near the pool pre Covid. It would have been nice to have an outside space to sit and hopefully the table and chairs will return once Covid is over.

Nice friendly reception. I liked the pebble floor of the shower. Lots of channels on TV. Overall, I liked the bright colours and design of the hotel and room. Drinking water available in lobby. Little common kitchen on fourth floor. Large fridge in room.
Very strong unpleasant smell in room. Like a mix of cigarettes and cleaning agent. It went away when the AC was on. But the AC had only one temperature setting so it gets a bit chilly in the early morning. I had room 14 on the fourth floor and its bathroom has a window directly out onto the staircase. I didn't care but if you were a lady having a shower and someone coming up the stairs was over 5'9, they could definitely see you. I stayed on a Saturday night and the circus was in town... So earplugs were very necessary. Compared to what you can get in nearby Ixtapa, not great value.

The staff speaks English and they were helpful during my stay. The rooms and hotel were very clean and quiet. The Hotel Las Salinas is located close to the center of the town so it’s a short walk to most of the places I wanted to go to. Overall, it’s a great value and I plan on staying here again on my next visit to Zihuatanejo.

Small hotel with a tiny pool A variety of rooms I had room 12 which was small but en-suite. The shower was super hot one of the best so far on my trip. Bed was hard-ish but suited me. The young lad at reception was really helpful. He helped me get an extension to my phone. There was a shared fridge and microwave. Very useful.
The WiFi was mostly off in my room. Unless I stood by the wardrobe. It maybe different in other rooms. Check with them before booking if this is important to you. Also no socket near the bed. Pillows very lumpy and uncomfortable. The property is located about a 10 minute slow walk to the shore. The block is a little shabby but I never felt any threat.

i was able to upgrade my room to a very comfortable, clean kitchenette that served my purposes perfectly. Helpful hosts that spoke good English, but were willing to let me practice my poor Spanish. location was only about a ten minute walk to the waterfront.
Well, it didn’t offer an ocean view, but I knew that when I rented it.

We found on arrival that things were not as we expected. There were no shared kitchen facilities. There is nowhere really made to sit outside like a balcony or patio. Travel during Covid has led to many disappointments. No body updates their webpage.
The staff took excellent care of us and we ended up having a very enjoyable stay. Our room was cleaned daily and we got clean towels daily as well. The WiFi was strong. There is a microwave in the lobby and we had a mini fridge in our room so we managed to save on some of our restaurant expenses. They moved us to the end of row of rooms and provided a couple of chairs so we could sit in the hallway outside our room in the afternoon in the fresh air. The beds are great. They offer secure parking (space limited). It is an easy walk to lots of shops, bars, and restaurants. The TV has lots of channels including sports and many in English.

Closed to downtown and beaches.
Safe neighborhood! Owner very helpful! They upgrade our room without asking. Safe hotel!
Need to improve the bathrooms.

The hotel is clean, the WiFi and A/C work and best of all the staff are friendly. This is a family friendly place, so it can get loud but in a good way - the noise of families enjoying themselves. This place has good value.
Outside my window is some kind of motor repair - when it rains you have to close the window for the smell of gas.

I always want more hooks or coathangars on the walls to hang things like shirts, towels, pants, whatever

We stayed in the king room which had a strong air conditioner and window. The most fantastic thing about this property is the staff. The receptionist was kind and thoughtful and provided professional hospitality to all the guests.
A little disappointing fact was that the pool was located right next to the reception where everyone was hanging around and could see you all the time. Except that, the property met our expectations.

No fan, only a/c. No chair in room.

Staff was excellent. They spoke good English which was helpful for us. Very helpful in giving recommendations, directions, etc. Room was clean. Not a far walk to beach. Good food nearby
First night we didn't have hot water. But second night we did.
