The location and the good standard of the property
We had to leave early because of a power failure in the property..disappointed with the poor response from the agents
4.5
Situated in a quiet cul d sac with easy access parking in front of main door, didnt get back in the car until the day we left. 5 mins walk to Seahouses centre or to the main coastal FP. You can see the beach towards Beadnell from your bedroom. Turnstone had all the amenities needed for us, we even created a Xmas dinner, was very clean with quality towels and sheets. Walking wise, doesn't get much better, heading north about 3miles to Bamburgh or head south a few miles to Beadnell. Either way you have wonderfull quiet beaches, where your/our dogs ran till they dropped, with a pub at start and finish. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in the centre along with your usual coastal shops, newsagents and a COOP.
Great place to stay, 5 stars.

Lovely little house
Location to town and coastal path excellent
Downstairs loo a bonus
Beds comfortable
Kitchen equipment excellent
No shelving in en-suite either in the shower enclosure or outside everything had to go on the toilet
Noisy stairs would have been ok but when your three year old also masquerades as a baby elephant
The furniture in the lounge although not uncomfortable is merely serviceable rather than inviting. Nowhere to snuggle with my girls for a movie with blankets
These are just our personal thoughts.

The location was excellent
We had to wait for it cleaning when we got there
It was also a bit creaky due to some flooring

Fab Location ,Clean ,Well Equipped ,Towels provided,2 Parking spaces, Outside patio/garden,Powerful shower.
Decor could be updated ,uncomfortable small sofa, small low TV,, rug would be a nice touch, very noisy central heating .

location was excellent , views were good and the kitchen was well equipped, there wasn’t a dishwasher which was okay but for hygiene purposes in a holiday let is preferable ,facilities were standard , shower in en-suite was good
Decor though beige was fine and clean. There were maps , books , games and dvd which were good
Worst aspect was the noise from the toilets filling up after flushing, if the television was on you couldn’t hear it over the noise of the system filling up, similarly at night if a toilet was flushed it woke us up, the pressure needs adjusting.
beds and bedding need changing and updating, noise from single beds horrendous, the base was sprung with a large board over them and disturbed sleep with squeaking, one of the mattresses was particularly unusable . double bed poor quality and very uncomfortable. The bedding was old and very used apart from some new synthetic pillows.
Floorboards particularly on the staircase need attention very squeaky and noise from bedrooms noisy when doing normal things.
The furniture was uncomfortable particularly the sofas. The table and chairs were fine.
This could be a comfortable place to stay if there was an overhaul of the facilities.

The location was spot on near the beach and harbour: just right for a trip to the Farne Islands.

lovely location, quiet but close to village
shower drain needs unclogged

The cottage was well equipped and a good location
The sofa is very uncomfortable as read on other reviews and was slightly dirty. Could do with an overall update for the prices charged, but for the amount of time we were in it, it didn’t spoil our break

Great location, clean and bright, very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, newly decorated, downstairs loo, a bathroom and an ensuite, instructions for all appliances, lovely view of the sea at the front
Check out time very early
Lounge could be more cosy - bigger more comfy sofa, a modern dining set and a larger TV would elevate this property to excellent as the rest of the house is lovely

was left alone to enjoy our stay, thank you
smoke alarm battery was dying so beeped every thirty seconds and the lamp in the twin room sparked at plug socket when we switched it on so we didn’t use, otherwise nothing

Lovely quite street
Back garden slabbing not suitable for an elderly dog with dementia

Location was excellent - on the edge of Seahouses right next to path through golf course to a dog friendly beach but with town facilities within easy reach. View of beach and sea from kitchen and front bedroom.
Nothing except the council doesn’t collect glass for recycling.

Fab location. The description matched the facilities well. Some good attention to detail.
I won't stay again because I disagree with the host being unwilling to change the week if there was a valid covid reason to cancel the holiday. I was aware of this condition before I booked but it caused anxiety and seemed money grabbing. It makes people less likely to cancel the holiday if they are unwell. This could potentially be a problem. Luckily we were both well and not under a local lockdown. We had a good holiday.

Very comfortable and lots of space. Kitchen quite well equipped. Parking space good. Just a few minutes from town centre or beach. TV went on the blink but someone came out to fix it within a couple of hours.
Really could do with a little tlc, for example grout and sealant in bathroom. Mixer taps were not easy to adjust and the hot water scalding (we didn’t have children with us). WiFi not great, could do with a booster. But we had a very good price so can’t complain much!
