Historic house of Andenes

A very old house with squeeking wood floors. This house tells you a story. Great place to stay in Andenes. Quiet in the night no noise to be heard even the window frames must be 100 years old :D Cozy place

I would recommend this place, and visiting andenes in general.

The owner was very patient and accommodating. The accommodation was clean, warm and cosy, but also spacious.

The position of the house.

I stayed two nights in August 2022 with my wife. All in one, we were extremely disappointed. The room and bathroom we were given were not shown on the web site (at least we could not find it, even after staying), and, in my opinion, they were of a much older and lower standing. Our bathroom had such a low ceiling I could not stand in front of the sink (I am 1.80 m tall). It had no shower, while a second (common) bathroom with a shower had the only entrance door from the kitchen. Our room was on the second floor and it was poorly insulated, so that we were hearing the conversations of people standing in the living room (just below) and in the neighbouring room, making difficult to sleep. Morevore the owners did not answer to a phone call and an email message during our two days stay, in which we were asking to fix one of the only two lamps in the room.

Cute place, like staying at a charming museum. Our host was great and most helpful.

The room could use more internal light during the night, and on the other hand, more opaque curtains against sunlight.

Recommended. Walkable from ferry with rolling luggage. Nice common area. Small room. Good price.

The host was very helpful arranging for our taxi to the airport as my phone wasn't working in Norway. Nice common area. Clean. Great location - was able to walk from the ferry.

In line with the price, the room was quite small.

a little bit of dust in the living room area, but nothing more. Mayme, with all this rooms, a tv for each one should be better than only one in the living room.

Thin walls, so might be noisy with a full house with different interest/different groups

Very close to the sea, we even got to enjoy seals playing in the water just in front of our window :)

The interior design was not really to our taste, but that's very subjective !

Very sweet interior and decorated with love it seems :) I had a pleasant stay.

The communication wasn't perfect (nobody there when I arrived, no reaction to my message via booking and we missed each others phone calls). But I could enter the house and my room on my own and the owner came by later that evening. So everything fine.

The host was extremely flexible, polite and friendly. The location of the apartment is excellent. The apartment is very clean, the facilities were more than we expected. We decided to extend our stay with one more night. I would recommend this apartment to everyone.

Superb

We were there for taking a ferry the next morning so we had no high expectations but were very much surprised. The owner welcomed us, gave us some tips for restaurants in the neighbourhood etc. Location was great. Highly recommended!

The location is perfect for a stay in Andenes close to the whale safari center and restaurants. It was very clean and good quality for the price.

Charming old house

An old and caretaken house with a soul. Don’t expect a hotel room but a cosy experience. I had a small room at the attic with a good bed and super view. Andenes is worth seeing and so is the whole island, Andøya.
