Very nice place, the room is large and has great view. Super clean and the staff take very good care to clean the room often.
4.5 / 5.0
The best of the hostel is it's location far from the center and Inside the Jungle. We had a simple room with a fan and shared toilet. They provided towels, everything was clean. The kitchen was spacious and had everything. You can also buy breakfast there. The common area is awesome with the view of the jungle and tena. It was a 15min walk to the center
For more choices of restaurant and supermarkt/bakery you need to walk to the center but it's not too far away.

Very clean and Amazing views. The staff were very attentive and friendly
It was quite a hot night so the fan didn’t quite cool down the room but for such a good price, this is what we would expect

We had a lovely big room overlooking the garden. The jungle garden was beautiful and we had nice walks around here. The hostel has a shared kitchen and patio area.
Unfortunately some of the staff were quite unfriendly and even rude, for example, ordering my partner around when she was using the kitchen and telling her off for accidentally dropping something on the floor! Didn't have a pleasant vibe. Also the staff were really noisy throughout the day, playing music and shouting to each other (they knew I was ill but continued to do this). The nearby restaurant played loud music until after 11am.... not the most peaceful place hence my rating.

I am pleased with my choice to book here and would recommend to others to stay here when in Tena. It is away from the loud and obnoxious parts of the town (mining town?) nestled up a hill with a view of the forest. It is a 30 minute walk or 5 minute $1.50 taxi from terminal terrestre. We booked 1 night and stayed for 4 because we could actually rest and recover here. It was quiet (because it's relatively secluded..quiet is hard to come by in Ecuador we are realising!) And the hostel had all the facilities we needed- a filter coffee maker (no instant coffee thank GOD), purified water, a clean and well maintained kitchen, clean toilets and general facilities, fan and the other guests here were other foreign travellers, so it was nice to chat about our travels. It's also a 5 minute walk from a (overpriced) tienda but the town has a few supermarkets and small fruit and vege shops for good local prices. The cafes and restaraunts here are actually excellent (rivalling the quality from home) if you map cafe Tortuga and Currasow, that strip has excellent for good prices (best savoury crepes of my life!)
Another excellent thing to point out about this place is the aesthetic harmony makes it actually relaxing to stay in because of the lush tropical gardens! There are banana trees and birds of paradise and other lush tropical plants in view from the communal kitchen and dining area. The dining area being outdoors undercover makes you really feel like you are in the jungle and the good amount of windows everywhere makes the place well lit and airy.. they are mosquito netted too, I appreciated very much the attention to guest comfort that this place has plus its incredible value for money. Its probably the best value for money place we've stayed in, in Latin America. We were comfortable and felt rested 😌
It seems like the person who set this place up and management are very different? The guest oriented touches for an enjoyable and comfortable stay from this place seem discordant with the lady who seems to live here who is uncomfortable to be around because she fails to hide her annoyance at your questions or letting you in. She shares the communal kitchen and was nice enough but this hostal would be elevated to an amazing place if her unhappy and annoyed energy wasn't always in our space when we left our room.
Our first impression wasn't the best, we asked if we could enter the building with our shoes when her friend was working on the floors and she pointed to the mat which we wiped our feet on but after that my boyfriend thought he heard her muttering about how rude we were being.. it's the reception and entrance of the building and we wiped our feet which had no dirt on them?
She seems to do a good job of keeping the place clean and running smoothly though.

Breakfast limited but fresh and nice. Place and surroundings very nice.
Room was not clean, without windows, smelly and no discussion about enquiry :( instead of the fact that I book one nice room with garden view.

It's definitely a nice place, and a good deal, just a bit out of town, up with good views.
Probably would have been much nicer if it hasn't been raining so much.

Nice view of Tena and the mountains. The hostel is clean and has nice terrace outside of the city center.
Although the area is not supposed to be noisy we heard loud music from nearby during the weekend nights. I recommend to put soap in the shared bathroom for washing hands.

Excellent place. Clean, super facilities, amazing views with balcony/private patio and hammock, air con, kitchen with everything you need to cook, friendly staff.... just a great place.
Onsite food and drink would be great, like fresh fruits to buy, maybe more than just a pizza delivery option (pizza delivery is the only food option without going into town!)

Lovely place
Lovely staff
Cleaning every day/every other day
Free water
Good wifi
Surrounded by jungle and birds!
Accommodating and hospitable- organized taxis every time, no hassle
I would have stayed longer if I hadn't had found a place directly in Puerto Misahaulli!
Muchos gracias x
Lots of ants get into the room (even on my first day before I even made any food). But the accommodation is in/surrounded by trees and plants, so it's expected.

Splendid place, amicable staff, the gardens are a delight, i had a room with a beautiful view of Tena! All areas are kept spotless. The place is quiet at night too, which makes for a good rest, and a great break especially if you've been traveling for a while! Great value! Intend on returning. Muchas gracias! 💚💐
The only aspect i did not like was the laundry service damaged my best tracking pants, so if you use this, make sure you let them know to be careful with heat settings etc. 🙃

Indy is amazing and so was our tour and tour guide. Was such a magical experience to have such an incredible tour of the Amazon and also to fall asleep at night feeling like I was truly immersed in the jungle with just the sounds of the jungle lulling me to sleep. The staff, especially Indy and our tour guide, went above and beyond to make my stay special. Thank you!!
Nothing. Everything was amazing.

The hostel was great value for money, breakfast included, soap and the bed was made for us while we were out. We enquired about recommendations for a jungle tour and a staff member gave us details of 6 different private tours that they run themselves. The tour we chose was outstanding. There were some insects around and sometimes inside the property but that was to be expected as we were in the jungle. We cannot fault this property.
We liked everything.

The place has an amazing location, super clean (cleanest kitchen ever), very friendly people and big rooms. We enjoyed our stay and the tour to the Gran Cañon nearby. Super recommended!!.

The view from the terrace. We were told that we were upgraded but not sure how
Location is too isolated without vehicle.. we lost power and the did not have a generator or even candles. Only went to shop a few when I suggested. When I asked about tours they say later we discuss but it was never. When I went to prepare breakfast I was told that they needed the kitchen to prepare breakfast for 3 guests. No atmosphere

Large Rooms, Great Value, View from outdoor dining area, helpful staff, day/week trips they booked for me

The hotel operation is very professional. I like the grounds and short trail. Location is perfect. Above and outside of the city but only a short walk to the bus terminals and stores.
You have to ring to gain entry to the hotel. Main entrance keys do not work. The bell is loud late at night.
