Location and price. Public car park is just opposite the place.
Facilities are not the best (very old towels, heating are centrally controlled timed), but it’s fair considering the room cost.

La vista è spettacolare. Lo staff è cordiale. Il bagno in camera comodo e pulito, con una bella doccia. Cucina molto fornita. Posizione perfetta.
Parcheggio a pagamento (4£ circa). Lenzuola sporche in alcuni punti. Il bagno nell area comune è piuttosto scomodo e sporco.

My family of four was there to hike the Sky Trail over the next four days, we had a nice, comfortable private group room and private bathroom. This was a lovely hostel with extremely helpful staff, a beautiful view, and close to everything that’s important to a family of hikers… The Co-Op grocery store for some food for the hike, the Inside Out outdoor store for some fuel to cook our dry meals and a rain jacket. :-) Love the super convenient location, there is also an excellent pub and restaurant right around the corner that had live music and a beautiful mural on the wall of the Black Cullen mountains, I can’t remember the name of this pub, but seek it out! The food was excellent here as well as the drinks. I wish I could remember the name of the young lady at the front desk with the long blonde hair who helped us find a ride to the northern end of the trail. When we learn the buses would not be running that day. She was wonderful!
What didn’t I like? I guess it would be that the breakfast selections were rather sparse compared to some other places. You could select something to eat and drink for only 5 pounds, which was nice, but I couldn’t find much… A few cereal selections (and one of these was rather cemented together after time and some moisture had apparently made its way in), some juice and milk, black tea bags. Unless there was another refrigerator of options somewhere that I just didn’t find. So if you’re visiting the co-op the night before, maybe get yourself a couple of breakfast items. :-)

Location is good as it is at the city centre of Portree. My room is with ensuite bathroom. There is kettle in my room. I have breakfast in the hostel, they serve basic continental breakfast, the view in the common room is good.
I know this is a hostel but I did not expect the room is so tiny, the tv is very small, the table and chair are too small that barely functional. The sink is too small, causing water to splash onto the floor. You have to climb a few staircase to the room. You need to remove all bed sheets, pillow case and quilt cover etc and put them in designated area before check out. This is the first time I stayed in hostel, may be these all are the norms but just not for me. The photos of room in its profile are not quite the same to the one I stayed.
No car park but there is a pay and display car park across the road, and this is well aware of before I booked this room.

property was clean, the staff were very friendly and there’s plenty of areas to prepare food.
rooms and seating area could do with more plug sockets to charge phones etc.

Location is great, within walking distance to the village square (shops, restaurant), and about middle of Isle of Skye for exploration to both north and south area.
The kitchen is very well equipped and clean. Guests help to keep the kitchen clean by washing up and drying the cutlery and kitchen utensils. Sufficient dining space for guests and a cosy lounge to chill with a great view.
Need to bring our luggages up flights of stairs to our room. We overcome by unloading our luggages at the street level instead.

The four bed room was very comfortable, with its own bathroom. Location was excellent and staff friendly.
Noise began at 5 am from rooms above, like a herd of elephants, and went on for over an hour. To the point I went up and asked the guests to have more consideration.

Good location in Portree, close to all local restaurants, and with parking just in front. Stayed in shared room - very spacious (and incredible shower pressure!)

the location is great. from the frontside you have this amazing view over Loch Portree and the mountains & from the backside you easily leave for the Main Street with a few nice pubs and restaurants.
we were sleeping in a private double bedroom with our own bathroom. the bed is too small, with head- and footboards limiting your ability to put your feet out in case you’re tall (we’re Dutch, we’re both tall) and it’s not wide enough to lay in it a bit more diagonally. the mattress feels old, with bumps in it. quite uncomfortable, didn’t sleep that well…
the water power of the shower is great, however the door didn’t close properly, so the entire bathroom floor was a huge puddle that we couldn’t really clean.

View from lounge was absolutely amazing, loved sitting on the comfortable couch with morning coffee to watch sunrise over the water. Well appointed kitchen, solid and comfortable bunk beds, overall the space was clean and well kept.
Shower curtain was extra short so the bathroom floor would flood. Room a bit tight but comfortable. One annoying thing was the back door kept being left open so the Hostel worker could go back and forth they said to do laundry, during a snowstorm and it made the hall/room quite cold.

Nice welcoming, practical and easy arrival
Windows hard to close, no soap in the shower

Hostels have come a long way and this one is right up there with clean, modern facilities. Better than some hotels I’ve happened to stay. Myself and my son had a twin en-suite room that was extremely clean, presentable and comfortable. Stayed off season so can’t say what it’s like to visit during a busy season. Parking in the payed bays opposite were £3 for the duration we needed over night but is free between 8pm and 8am. Lots of availability, but a few local kids mentioned the parking is completely full during peak tourism.

Great location in the center of the town near by the bus station. Beautiful view from the common area. Even though I didn´t order, I saw that the simple breakfast was nicely served. I really liked that the shower/toilet bathroom was part of the room of 4 bunkbeds in the female dormitory. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hostel is very clean. Everything you need for cooking, large kitchen. In our room for 8 people was a shower room. Girls at the reception are very friendly and sming.

The location and the cleanliness.
Would have been better if a sign post was there facing the main road.
