Beautiful and clean. Easy to find and get to. The staff was AMAZING and made our experience there excellent. The breakfast was homemade and incredible. Staff made us feel so welcome and at home.

Location and stuff
Breakfast was average.
2.5 / 5.0
the location was good and the breakfast as well
I did not like that the room was not that clean. we paid 350 for 4 nights definitely not value for money since the bathroom was in a bad condition for such a location and price .
The room was dusty as well.

The only thing we liked was the location
To start with the room , it was dirty. Killed mosquitoes on the walls , stains in the chair .we didn't have a solid functional ac neither hot water in our room. When I went down stairs at 1am to ask for some help the old man at the reception insisted that am wrong. I asked him Many times to please come and check it in our room . We had the suite with the Jaccuzi (didn't work either and it was leaking very much after drawing.) The old man I think named spyros wasn't helpful at all. I was begging to come and check our room but he told us that it was illegal?!?!?. Furthermore you can listen anything through those doors and also at the morning someone tried to come into our room. It's just an old hotel with some fixes. NOT A 5 STAR ONE AT ALL.

Location
Pillows too high.
Noisy fridge.

homemade breakfast, clean and well-room,
the breakfast is served by two absolutely kind and nice women
but it makes it a bit awkward to choose and get whatever you want at least the first day
the swimming pool was way too cold, at least for my taste

I liked the staff (polite and helpful), the size of the room, the spacious and comfortable bed, the balcony and the bathroom (mini suite about 30m2), the common area around the swimming pool where the breakfast is served. Nice room service. The price was good for Greek standards during summer, so the hotel is a value for money deal. The location in the center of the village close to bars and restaurants is also nice (there are two free parkings nearby but still parking was pretty tough in August; the hotel isn't responsible for that obviously). Likely would get back there.
The breakfast buffet was rich but sort of repetitive, the pool was not always very clean, the decoration looks very 2000s. I don't watch TV when in holidays (so no problem for me), but the TV set was old and this may disturb TV fans.

Big room, good air conditioning, big bathroom, easy access to the pool, ok breakfast.
The sofa-bed was not comfortable at all. You could feel the iron bars under the matress.

the people were extremely friendly and helpful and the neighbor's coffee/record shop

Periodic noise from the fridge

Hospitable staff, spacious room, amenities, both shower and bathtub to suit your needs. Swimming pool in good condition. High quality of crib mattress. Breakfast has a variety of options, most of them delicious. Close to the center and other interesting sites.
Furniture is old and needs to be upgraded (TV for example is too old to function properly).
Fridge is not spacious nor reached good temperature for food preservation.

Location is ideal, near the center and all the shops/restaurants, but in a quiet area. The hotel in general, and also the junior suite (sheets, towels, everything) were very clean, bed was super comfortable, and the staff (receptionists/cooks) extremely kind and helpful. Also, one of the best breakfasts i have ever eaten in a hotel! Good internet connection. Value for money 10/10.
It would be helpful to have a shower curtain and a non-slip mat in the bathroom.

The friendly staff, especially the ladies in the kitchen and the owner. He was so kind and generous that he permitted us at nights when the kitchen was closed to go in and take whatever we needed for our children and baby (like milk, cereals and other staff). The location, so close to everything, and the "baklava" my husbands favourite sweet, that we were served also in our breakfast. Thank you very much for the accomodation.
The poor WiFi 😔
No connection in the family suite and very poor in the lobby..

Breakfast was satisfying, room size was good and location was good as you coukd walk to the bars, restaurants, cafes and shops.
It was very expensive for what it offers and is definitely not a 5 star hotel as it claims. The bedsheets had holes, the lamp next to the bed was broken, the carpet was old and had stains and the room and bathroom need renovation, so that it gets a good quality 3 star hotel. Hotel has no parking and although public parkings are close you may not be able to find a parking spot if it is rash hour. I would rate the hotel differently if it was claimed to be 3 star, but being 5 star 20 years ago does not mean it is still tbe same. I would have paid the same amount for a much better and new room.

The room was nice and spacious. Certain people on the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was tasty but not kept hot.
In the first day of our stay, the room and the water were cold. It was a Thursday with few guests, so we assume that they were cutting off on expenses, which is unpleasant in winter. Additionally they charge 5 euros for each bug of fireplace woods and 5 euros to use their steam bath. This is a very cheat approach for an expensive hotel.
The in-room jacuzzi could only be turned on once per day.
The couch and chairs had stains.
Overall the stay was not worth the price. I would accept all the above if the price was 40% lower than what we paid.

place was very good near the center of Portaria

Room was HUGE, great location in the centre of town, very close to cafes, restaurants, etc. They do provide underground parking which we didn't need during our stay, as the town was quiet so we used the parking in the main square. It's a small local style hotel, not a chain, and the decor and atmosphere reflects that. Very cute. The gentleman working there was very friendly and helpful.
I wasn't a fan of the breakfast. It was very quiet at the hotel and I think they could have offered a smaller breakfast or removed it from the price entirely.
