We spent a week here in August with an extended, multigenerational family group. The house has a ton of sleeping spaces and bathrooms, and a well stocked kitchen. The interior design features are remarkable and the house has real character. It’s an older home but many of the design elements complement its age. The kitchen is updated and it’s overall very nice. Property manager was great. A couple of things broke during our stay and they were quick to provide replacements (eg one of the kayaks). The dock and channel provide endless entertainment for the kids to safely play outside. The air conditioning was impressively effective. Overall I would rate this house a 9.5/10 with the only deduction due to there being a lack of sound insulation so it was a little hard to keep everyone asleep if anyone was awake. But this is manageable and overall, we would return, and would recommend.

This home is lovely, comfortable and spacious inside and out. Our group of eleven (7 adults and 4 teens) enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend!

Loved staying in this natural, charming home in what felt like a bird sanctuary! The setting is spectacular and the homeowners provided all of the toys you could ask for, including: paddle boards, kayaks, boogie boards, etc! There were so many fantastic bedrooms to chose from- all with fantastic views of the waterway and ocean. The only negative piece of feedback has to do with the lighting in the kitchen and living room. It is bizarrely dark- making it difficult to navigate and enjoy comfortably in the evenings. (We suspect this had something to do with conserving energy... ultimately not that big of an issue).

We enjoyed out stay. The only improvement I would recommendation is to have better lighting in the house, particularly on the main floor where there were only the yellow lights.

The house is absolutely stunning. It is decorated so well, and has so much charm. It is well equipped and has so much seating and room for entertaining and lounging. The views of the ocean are breathtaking and the outside space is perfect. There are plenty of bedrooms, towels, glassware, speakers, appliances and everything else that makes you feel at home. I cannot say enough about this property, I wish I could stay here forever.

We selected this property for 2 families and it had everything we needed and more. The house was charming, the host was super responsive, and the location of being on the water with a private beach was incredible. Thank you to Julie for everything!

This home is perfectly located fronting a protected bay between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. The provided Kayaks and paddle boards offer great access to have fun in the water. The fire pit and the rooms have great water views. Definitely worth returning to. The entire family enjoyed our stay here.

Location and property were as promised - excellent accommodations and views. Close to restaurants, bars, shopping - the ferry and bike rentals.

We had a wonderful time being by the water and near the happenings in OB! It’s an absolutely great property!

My family of four plus in laws stayed over a beautiful Fourth of July weekend. It was a special place - a turn of the century home that has been lovingly cared for. An amazing flow and grace on first floor. Tons of space to explore. The land backing up to inlet and 2 min walk or swim to private beach could not be better. Everyone was happy. Convenient drive to edgartown , mile to oak bluffs.. steps to Nomans. I wish the main street wasn’t so busy but you can’t see it from the home as it’s set far back and no visibility through the woods… and you totally forget about it. I’m a photographer and the light and character of the home was a dream. My personal favorite was sitting on the various screened in porches and listening to the birds. An amazing osprey family and nest to watch too.

The home is a perfect setting for both active and relaxing times with family and friends. We loved the interior design of the home and the outside spaces were great for our family. The 6 & 7 year olds spent most of their “idle time” playing on and around the dock catching crabs and the teens enjoyed hanging on the very very close beach across the water. The location of the house was perfectly close to both OAK bluffs and Edgartown, which is where we spent most of our time. Thank you to the owners/hosts for a wonderful time and a very clean and well appointed home!

This place is its own oasis. Worth every penny. We were AMAZED at how well outfitted the house was with cooking utensils to fun games to paddle boards, etc. With the dock; inlet; tidal cove; coastal feel to the house, 5 min walk to beach on cool wooded trail; privacy; short distance to so many things to do; walks or bike ride to Jaws Bridge;….it’s a must stay.

Words defy the experience of this magnificent Vineyard home. Close to everything and yet private and away from the tourist hustle & bustle in Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. Our hosts were gracious and the place was well stocked with everything anyone might need. We absolutely loved it. Our heartfelt gratitude to the Sullivan and Keefe families for sharing their lovely home with us — thank you!

The house is beautifully situated, with a wide view of the bay and the sea beyond. We spent many hours sitting on the deck, under a big umbrella, simply enjoying the view and the air, but we also walked to the nearby beach - a 5 minute walk from the house.
Inside the house all the rooms are lovely and comfortable with sofas in every room so our large family could spread out with readers in one space, tv watchers in another, game players in another. Julie, our host, was always gracious and helpful whenever we needed help, but otherwise left us alone.
It could not have been nicer!!

Absolutely beautiful and well appointed home. The convenience of the water sports was only rivaled by the convenience of the bike-walking-jogging path into Oak Bluffs in one direction and Edgartown on the other. Gorgeous views; fantastic amenities; comfortable and inviting decor. We stayed there during my daughter’s wedding week and hosted a few events and it was PERFECT. Loved every minute and it was worth every penny.

I’ll start by saying Julie is wonderful. She was wonderful to work with! The house is amazing. Being on the inlet was perfect and having the ospreys right there was an extra special treat. We were a group of 15 and we fit easily. The kayaks and paddle board were enjoyed by everyone’s the deck was our go to place as the table easily fit us all. We were close enough to town to walk or bike; Uber was also a great alternative for those that want to ride. It didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect, but even if it wasn’t Julie had lots of games etc if we had to be inside.

This rental is a very thoughtfully restored and preserved historic home with many amenities and modern conveniences as described on the listing. The location and setting are outstanding offering an opportunity for a very unique "getaway" for a large group spending time on a very unique island.

This house is every bit as unbelievably beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Even more actually! We came with a big group and every one of us just could not get over how quaint, beachy, homey and simultaneously very BIG the house was. We slept with 17 people comfortably. We rented bikes and rode down the beach (20 minute bike ride to the open ocean) and rode all the way to Edgartown on the most beautiful ride I've ever been on. We had dinner on the back deck overlooking the water. We jumped off the dock and swam to the little island across the water. We walked down to OB for drinks and food. Honestly, had the weather not been great we would have fun too! There is a big fireplace in the living room and the house is great for celebrating. The caretaker was there and was such a gentleman and helped us with everything we needed. I cannot wait to come back. I can't say enough good things about this house. My first VRBO experience and such a pleasure!
