Perfect and remote city lodge with wonderful pets :)!

If you are searching for a familiar and absolutely comfortable stay, racoon lodge is just what you are looking for! Arriving at the lodge you will be introduced to the facilities in a lovely way by the absolute friendly owner. You have Palm trees and forest plants everywhere around, so that you can feel safe and remote just within the city of Point a Pitre. The Rooms are very beautiful and special on their own - just as shown on the pictures. During the evening you will meet the sweet pets of the lodge and can play with them, just before having a nice bath in the pool. We loved the stay over here and enjoyed a very good and fresh prepared coffee in the morning.

I really liked the lodge- so nothing to say here.

Bel endroit dans la végétation atypique pour Pointe à Pitre

Un endroit auquel on ne s’attend pas à Pointe à Pitre, dans un beau jardin luxuriant. Parfait pour une arrivée tardive et pour visiter la ville et le Mémorial Act le lendemain. La surprise de se retrouver nez à nez avec un racoon trop mignon. Sans oublier l’accueil et la gentillesse d’Angela et le bon petit déjeuner

Nous y avonsbien dormi etn’avons pas mangé sur place.

Seul bémol est que les coussins dans la chambre sont delsuets et sentent le pipi des chats. De plus, les tapis autour du lit pourraient être refraîchi. Le spa contenait des grenouilles alors nous ne l’avons pas utilisé

Angela is the best host! She’s kind and loving! The cats and raccoons on the lodge were such a nice plus. The place feels like a peace haven in the middle of the city! Will definitely go back if I have the chance!

A delightful property, a converted house. The proprietor is an artist who.has filled the property with antiques and artistic touches. Our room was a one bedroom suite with a private balcony that had a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and it had a warm, exotic feel. We were given very personalized attention and felt like part of the family. We would go back without hesitation and strongly recommend it.

The proprietor's stories of unruly and/or arrogant guests trying to strong arm their way into a better deal or special favors. Please folks, this is a one person operation. Take your attitudes and egos somewhere else. This place is special.

The lodge was a very comfortable place to stay for our brief time in Guadeloupe. Angela is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcomed. The room was comfortable and well provisioned, though we spent most of the time on the deck enjoying the hummingbirds coming to feed and the cats (and at night the raccoons) that would drop by.

The location is very close to the marina and other places to see in Pointe-à-Pitre - definitely walking distance - but to walk anywhere requires a stretch of walking alongside a busy highway without a sidewalk.

A unique and bohemian experience, the opposite to what you’ll find in a hotel chain.

Bohemian, welcoming, authentic & intimate. Good food, helpful owner, relaxing jacuzzi.

Only accessible by car. Wifi signal a bit unreliable.

Great place to stay in Guadeloupe, with nice pool area

Lovely place that seems to be in the middle of a forest, even though it is right next to the highway and with the containerport viewable. Lovely pool area, and close to the airport. Angela was a fantastic host aswell, and a brilliant cook.

The waterpressure was low when we were there due to work in the area (totally outside of Angelas control). We wish we had rented a car for Guadeloupe, as buses are infrequent and location of the lodge is a little uncomfortable by foot, as you have to walk along the highway, especially at night.

it was a disaster…

good question….

upon arrival, we were advised that the property was closed. the pool was drained, the hot tub and waterfall were inoperable. the toilet was broken. that said, she let us stay as we had nowhere to go. she made us a nice dinner as advertised but was then unable to charge it to a credit card…run!

Nice get away for all those who like to be in close touch with nature.

The pool and hot tub area is nice, the owner is friendly and helpful and the lodge offers a nice get a away from the city.

There was a hair in the bathroom, that was shared with a frog and a really big grasshopper. Also I was surprised by a cockroach in the bedroom.

Fabulous spot

We absolutely loved Raccoon Lodge (& the eponymous raccoons)- it was, as we expected, the highlight of our road trip around Guadeloupe & Dominica. Angela made us and other guests feel very much at home. Excellent breakfast. Very easy to find & accessible from airport. Lovely pool. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

We were initially worried about proximity to main road but once behind the gates, we couldn't hear traffic at all

Great stay to disconnect in guadeloupe

The place is awesome, Decor is great, really into the "jungle", waterfall and everything to feel out of place. It's a little moment in a place you won't forget.

The only thing is the location. It's located on National 4 highway. We don't hear a sound because of the setup but if you don't have a car, you must rely on taxi cabs, and even ithat t's not far away from main places, you cannot do anything by feet. Car rental is a must to be self-sufficient and if you want to fully benefit from the great outdoor kitchen, otherwise, come with all the goods you need for you stay.

Nice garden lounge.Open to nature, very comfortable, love the wild racoon coming very close to you. Wonderful host, very helpful with airport transfer. Delicious food.

Fine to stay there for no more than one night, to be near to the airport.

The structure is very nice, it has a nice swimming pool, a hot tub, and is surrounded by forest. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the proximity to the airport is also excellent (only 10 minutes). Fine for an overnight stay in transit.

The cleanliness standard is poor, certainly not what one would expect from a structure with that price. For the same amount my wife and I stayed in a much more luxurious and clean hotel in Martinique.

There was old used soap in the shower a tube of almost finish tooth paste, shampoo and shower gel. There was a coffee machine in the room how ever not coffee or milk was supplied. There was no toilet paper either If you ensure these little things are offered fresh and new for each guest then things are just right

The lodge decoration style was nice. The garden was quite nice. The room was nice although it needs some renovation

I forgot a phone charger there. Never received any communication from the property about it I asked for an invoice and never got it It seems once you leave the property forgets about you

Super séjour! Excellent Stay

Angela welcome us in her really pretty house, lost in a little jungle near Pointe à Pitre. Sounds and atmospheare are charming! Angela is really lovely and takes care. I recommand !

My stay was awful.

Not too far from airport

After my long flight, I just wanted to shower & sleep but couldn’t because there was no running water. I was greeted by a woman in her towel. I couldn’t take a shower nor use the toilet because I couldn’t flush it. There was no AC so I was hot & sticky so I couldn’t sleep. Am glad that I was only staying one night in transit 😒

Great location

The location is great and breakfast was delicious. The host is super nice and friendly! We didn't went to the pool because it was raining but it sure looked like a nice one.

My only disappointment was the hot tub. It was not working properly.. perhaps we should have let it be known to the host but we were there for only one night so it didn't bother us that much.
