sehr schöne Unterkunft zum Relaxen.

Die Zimmer sind wunderschön eingerichtet, das Bad ist großzügig und modern ausgestattet. Mittags gibt es ein kostenloses "light Lunch", das man nicht verpassen sollte. Die Küche ist wirklich gut. Von unserem Zimmer Nr. 5 hatten wir einen direkten Blick auf den Chobe. Frühstück war sehr lecker mit wechselnden Angeboten, Früchten, Joghurt, Eierspeisen, diversen Marmeladen usw.

30 Euro Transferkosten für zwei Personen zum nicht einmal 10 Minuten entfernten Flughafen fanden wir deutlich zu teuer, zumal wohl jede Taxe preiswerter gewesen wäre. Die Lodge ist sehr schön und auch ihren hohen Preis wert, aber beim Transfer noch einmal so zuzulangen, war eher enttäuschend.

Loved our stay here!

The lodge had a beautiful location right at the river, which you can enjoy from the pool and lounge area. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food is very good and organised tours are super nice.

Lieu propre, côté intime appréciable. Le personnel est accueillant et d' une grande gentillesse.

Ce n est pas possible de proposer des lits jumeaux à un couple sachant que nous avions réservé suffisamment en avance. La piscine était hors service, grosse déception pour nos enfants et problématique en haute saison. Repas du soir hors de prix pour ce que c était. Nous avons payé plus de 30€ par personne, pour salade/lasagne aux légumes/morceau de cake. Nous avons trouvé tous les prix considérablement élevés en comparaison à un hôtel similaire où nous avions séjourné la veille. Pas de frigo dans la chambre.

Proche du paradis des animaux

Avant tout les excursions organisées par le lodge : Morning Drive & Afternoon Cruise à Chobé. A faire absolument. Le guide est génial, le 4x4 est un camion surélevé et le bateau de taille modeste. Ils appartiennent en propre au lodge. Ce jour à Chobé a été pour nous un moment fort de notre voyage. Voir les lion(ne)s chasser les buffles au lever du soleil, c'est magique. Petite recommandation pour le Game Drive du matin : prévoir des vêtements chauds et absolument un bonnet car à 5h30 du matin, 20 min de nationale dans un camion de safari ouvert pour rejoindre l'entrée du parc ca décoiffe ! Le petit déjeuner et les repas du soir sont bien préparés, avec quelques plats typiquement locaux. Collation offerte à midi. Le lodge est proche de la rivière mais pas non plus tout à fait sur la berge. La vue au coucher du soleil est splendide. La chambre est confortable et la salle de bain spacieuse.

Homely, comfortable and great views!

Lovely River view. Amazing personal service by Sofia and the team. Nothing was too much trouble… from arranging super river cruise and game drives to transfers, taxis, restaurant bookings etc. Delicious treats and safari tea too! Catered to our vegetarian needs well.

Beautiful relaxing stay by Chobe river.

Beautiful location. Friendly helpful staff went out of there way to arrange our transfers and provided delicious meals. Evening BBQ dinner was amazing! Mongooses were also very cute and entertaining to watch in the garden. We also enjoyed relaxing and watching the sunset in an intimate, homely atmosphere.

Couldn't get hot water to work in the shower in the morning but as we were leaving early we had no time to ask for assistance.

Perfeita, retornaremos com certeza.

A acomodação é espetacular, não me vejo ficando em outro lugar quando retornar à Botswana. De frente para o rio Chobe é próximo à entrada do parque. Café da manhã excepcional, pequeno almoço servido também muito bom. Todos os funcionários são extremamente atenciosos e educados!

A água do chuveiro é fraca, mas nada que atrapalhasse nossa estadia.

great family place on the river

What a great place to stay to explore Chobe, the rooms are freshly renovated in a modern safari style with coffee facilities (not all lodges have this) The staff are all super friendly keen to chat, the dinners, breakfast and safari tea were all home cooking at its best. meeting other guests to chat to each evening really made the stay 5 stars! They organise their own boat safaris at a very reasonable price as well as land safaris in their own safari vehicles. beautiful spot on the river with a good little bar to enjoy a drink round the Boma each night. Would recommend to family and friends.

The property is beautiful. It is on the river and very peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, large and very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner each day as well as game drives and boat rides.

We had a wonderful stay and absolutely happy with our choice to stay at River View Lodge Chobe!!

Location. Beautiful view. Private room with chobe river view. Beautiful maintained buildings and garden. Tranquil surroundings. The breakfast and dinner was very well prepared and presented. Stunning sunset view. Very efficient and friendly staff. We just loved our stay.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. When they found out it was our honeymoon they gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling and sent up a private romantic dinner for us with candles etc. Food was excellent. The game drive and boat ride they offered were also great - their guide is very knowledgeable and was able to get us close to the animals including lions, elephants and hippos

The owners have done a nice job maintaining the property, and the staff enjoy their jobs. All very friendly and willing to help. The rooms are very well decorated, and the grounds well taken care of. The personal touches, like freshly baked muffins and cookies at the coffee stand available all day. An exceptional place to relaxed and unwind, with a beautiful location. Sofia, the manager and member of the family that owns the place, is another reason why our stay was so incredible, she is a delight!!

Nice location but poor service

rooms were nice inside.

staff were very poor and no attention given to guests and no greeting when passing! . breakfast was very poor with a very limited choice.. No attention from staff. dirty dishes etc left without clearing away. some even left out overnight!! No one ever checked if we were ok, not even at check out. The man at breakfast was the only nice member of staff. Mathews the safari guide was the exception as he was excellent.

Great hosts and lovely lodge

Sofia is an excellent host. She's very knowledgeable and we could book game drives and sunset cruises via the lodge. Comfortable rooms and we loved that for dinner we were all sitting together on a big table. This way we could exchange tips and ideas with other guests.

Great stay with very nice staff

We had a great place in this very nice lodge. We booked last minute one night but extended our stay due to the friendliness and great activities! We had 2 very nice dinners in the restaurants! The activities (boat trip, morning game drive and visit to Vic falls) were very well organised and of high quality. Our guide Matthew knew a lot and could explain everything to our sons! The pool, garden and bar are all great! Highly recommend the place! And great vakue for money!
