Nice place, lots of room, we all had a great time
4.4
Overall our stay was good. The house was huge and very accommodating for our large family weekend. More than enough beds and the beds/pillows were actually comfortable. Kitchen had more than enough dishwater, utensils, cups. There was several things that were not ok though. The grill was not usable. It was rusted and looked like it’s been left out or open in bad weather. We were not able to cook on it. Even if we could, we would have needed to buy our own propane. I have never had a rental supply a barbecue with no propane. We did however, find a small grill smoker in the basement that we were able to buy charcoal for and used it to get the job done. However, being that we planned both of our dinners to barbecue for 20+ people it was a bit tedious to cook on a small grill. The house can accommodate 20+ people, but some items did not suffice for 20+ people for three nights/4 days. There was one roll of paper towels for our entire stay, only two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and five small trash bags for the entire stay, needless to say we had to buy paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags for the household. There was no aluminum foil, or Ziploc bags. I know this isn’t mandatory, but it is nice if the kitchen is stocked. Lastly, we requested to leave an hour later as 10 AM was pretty early to get out 20+ people. They honored the request, but asked if we could wash a load of towels. Not a problem, but the rental does not provide any kind of laundry detergent.

The house is fantastic. Very large and great location. The drawbacks were some of the small details, windows dirty, Grill not cleaned, foosball and pool table not good, when we moved the couches it was not clean. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again, I just wish they would just address the small issues.

Excellent stay

We had 23 ppl stay in this house for 3 nights. Michelle was our contact and was very helpful, answering all of our questions.
The 2 bedrooms on the main floor share the full bath that is just off the kitchen.
The 3 bedrooms up the main stairs are wonderful. Tw of them share the same hallway bathroom but one has its own bath and a large closet that a 2 yr old’s pack ‘n play fit in beautifully. The other bedroom above the garage is very private and large and has its own bath.
The living areas (living room and game room) are very large, each with lg TV, and much comfy seating. The dining area has a very large table. The kitchen is tiny but well stocked with dishes, flatware. - with a table & 4 chairs.
Nice front porch.
Very close to an adorable very handy market called white duck market. The owner is great.
Almost a mile to public beach. My husband and I walked easily. A dune to climb and run down.
We were very pleased with everything about the house.
Extra full refrigerator in the garage.

This was the perfect property for our group who was in town to visit family. We all had plenty of room, and the house has tons of seating areas. Some of the lighting was a bit tricky to figure out, but that was a minor thing. Only thing lacking in the kitchen was potholders, so we just used kitchen towels and went on with our meal. Hot tub was a nice touch at the end of the day!
4.4
The house was awesome. Great gathering rooms, kitchen, location,
pool table, "foosball"fire pit and more.
Only improvements would be another bathroom on the first floor and more light in the front living area. We loved our time there.
4.4
When pulling up the driveway the house is deceiving. It looks small but then you go inside and, WOW! Tons of space! We had 19 in our family 11 of whom were children ranging in ages 4-14. Loved the spaciousness, the closeness to the beach and to Michigan Adventure. It was a much needed vacation for my husband and I, our kids and grandkids!
4.4
Very spacious it was great for all the age levels we had

There were 21 of us and our time at this property was so enjoyable! There was sufficient space and accommodations were good. The big back yard and patio with the beach close by was great for our little ones. The big table and well stocked kitchen helped make the stay enjoyable.

Properties was Fantastic. Maybe a Welcome packet with info about WiFi, Garbage Pick up

Nice huge house near Michigan lake. Perfect for entertainment and just relaxing. Well stocked.
Would recommend.

We had plenty of room. The house is well supplied with dishes, silverware, utensils and towels. There is no extra bedding,so bring blankets if you get cold easily. It's a nice location. Adults can walk to Lake Michigan beaches, but you need to drive with supplies and children. The house is enormous with lots of different areas. We had plenty of room for extended family and the yard is big for outdoor playing.
One thing, the first floor bath was used by my 92 year old inlaws and the shower was very slippery with no grab bars. We bought a mat for the shower floor, but maybe some kind of bars would be good. The bed and bath are perfectly situated for someone with mobility issues though.
Not a luxury home, but great for a big family to sprawl in.
4.4
The best thing that we can say about this property is that it was clean upon arrival, close to a great State Park (less than a mile), and had plenty of yard and space to spread out for the whole family.
The negatives:
The home was very well used- tired and not kept up. The impression was that this was not a pride and joy location for the owner or property manager.
The beds were very poor quality - some were unsleepable even. The mattresses were saggy or rock hard, or not even a mattress at all but an inch of foam on a box spring. Very dissatisfying when trying to sleep for a week. The pull out couch did not have a fitted sheet and when we asked the property manager why there wasn't enough sheets I did not even get a response.
The kitchen was lacking in utensils and cookware for 24 people.
The garage and outdoor spaces were filthy and not kept up.
Overall just very disappointing for the amount of money spent for a family vacation.
4.4
This property's positives were the proximity to the beach and the size of the home, as well as the cleanliness. That's it.
For the price of staying here it was seriously lacking many things:
1. Sheets for all the listed beds (beds need to be upgraded I might add)
2. Enough pots/pans for the amount of people on site
3. Communication with Site Manager (didn't even get back to me when I asked for the sheets for the fold out)
4. It was obvious that no one had been in to fix repairs that were needed for quite some time (holes in the walls, toilet paper holder was coming off the wall, the garage was filthy, etc)
5. Just overall overrated
4.4
Our family stayed here for a week and enjoyed our stay. The home is very large with multiple seating and TV areas. It was perfect for our needs.
4.4
Large house with room for activities
House is large and clean. Tons of beds to sleep in with a good size kitchen and grill. Yard is huge and backs up to a golf course.
4.4
Rustic
It was a little like camping, If you have ever rented or owned a camper well the beds and water were very similar.
Over all we had a good time and were satisfied with the house, Lots of space to spread out and very outdoorsey, but if you are looking for luxury keep looking. Going to the beach will require loading up and driving over.
We did enjoy the fire pit every night and the mini mart so close was a big plus as well.
I can see where some folks would leave a bad review (you are spoiled get over yourself ) for the most part it was good and we made some great memories with the kids.

Well furnished plenty to do. Lots of space.

The location was great and there are four areas in the house to congregate in so you can really spread out. There are a ton of dishes and silverware which is a plus. Great communication with the property manager who was prompt and helpful. The hot tub is great and the huge yard with the large fire pit was awesome. The only con is that in four of the bedrooms half the mattresses are great and half are absolutely horrible. They are really hard, lumpy and probably old futons. For the price of the rental I would expect a little better. Overall a great place!

Our experience with Evolve was horrible. I was very cooperative with explaining all the problems we had with the house and provided them with photos of the false advertising and photos of screenshots of our communication with the representative in Whitehall, MI. They came back with a statement that we did not provide documentation and that their decision was non negotiable. What does that even mean when documentation was sent? What more proof could I have sent? The headline for this house was Large home with hot tub - Walk to Lake Michigan. It was dangerous for adults to walk and impossible for children. It was over a mile to the lake on a road with 45 mile per hour traffic and no shoulder or sidewalk. The hot tub was cloudy and dirty when we arrived on a Saturday and it took until Thursday for someone to come and clean it. Trash pick up was on a Wednesday and garbage cans were full when we arrived. Lights were burnt out and rooms were dark. Dishwasher would stop mid cycle and have to be restarted. Freezer door handle was missing so difficult to open. Legs on corn hole game were missing and bean bags were leaking. Bathroom on main level had a slow drain that we called about early in our stay and was fully clogged by mid week. After no response bought Drano and a plunger and fixed it ourselves. This bathroom was for 2 bedrooms (5 people) and had no hooks or surfaces for clothes and toiletries. The garage had a garage door opener but no remote so was pretty useless for coming and going. They said there was a grill for a large group. The gas part did not work and the charcoal part was too small to be of any use for 20 people. The front room and game room were very dark and there were burnt out lights throughout the house. The basement had a large water leak near the end of our stay which they did come to vacuum up. This was a house that we spent over $1000 per day on which turned out to be so overpriced. The false advertising and the poor response by Evolve is inexcusable and we will be warning others about this house snd this company.

There was plenty of space for our large family to spend a week celebrating our upcoming 40th anniversary. The game room was great, and the backyard was nice for the kids to play and dance. The front porch and several other areas were quiet getaways for those who wanted to read or study. The loft room above the garage made a great place for the family with a baby.
We brought a large folding table and kept it next to the dining room table (which wasn't big enough for all of us) so we could eat our meals together, and there was plenty of space for it.
The supply of dishes (plates, bowls, glasses, cups, silverware) is great. But I would suggest bringing baking pans, large bowls, and anything that you really like to have when you cook.

Met the minimums
A traditional notebook of instructions would have been nice: “which of the 4 thermostats takes care of which part of the house.”
A lamp in the front, large and comfortable living room would have been nice to read away from the tv and game room noise.
A bedside table and clock in each bedroom would have been nice.
Seasonings beyond salt and pepper would have been nice. You’re welcome for the Tabasco, cinnamon, and sugar.
The supply of flatware, glassware, plates and bowls was fabulous! Thank you!
A bath towel for each member of our group would have been nice.
Enough propane, or a spare tank, or enough charcoal to cook at least one meal would have been nice.
More coat hangers in each closet would have been nice. 10 for the larger rooms?
Thanks for asking my opinion

Great house for large groups!
The stay was everything we had hoped for! It's a great, open space (indoor/outdoor) with ample room for a good size group of people. Everything was clean and my guest contact was very responsive. We had an issue with the coffee maker the first day, and she was out to the house with a brand new coffee maker that night so we could have coffee for the following morning.

The space was great and a perfect relaxing weekend getaway for our friend group. The hot tub and game room were truly the best parts!Only complaint was that the coffee maker did not work so please plan accordingly.

The house was beautiful and very comfortably fit our whole family. The short walk to the lake was convenient. Would definitely come back.

The house is as shown. The location was great for walking, golfing and the beach is a short walk away. The back yard was large for games.

Wilson Family Vaca
Nice quiet neighborhood, mom & pop store was pleasantly close in walking distance and they had anything you needed. The few issues were the property manager not being reachable and we had ants on the back patio which everyone was bitten multiple times. I couldn’t reach the property manager about the ants so I called customer service and was told they would reach out to the manager but we never heard back from anyone.

The Gathering place was right name!!
We were Blessed with a wonderful stay. Plenty of place for 18 of our family to get together. Grandpa and Grandma enjoyed having our kids and grand kids all together before one son and his family leaves for Germany were the teach at a boarding school for missionary kids. We had a wonderful time full of memories. Wonderful location and would choose this house again.
