The layout and long range views

This condo provides quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It has a wonderful view overlooking Sugar Mountain. On a clear day, you can see the magnificent Grandfather Mountain in the distance.
There is ample room for multiple people. Easily sleeps six. Comfortable sleeps four to five.
I would recommend this to anyone considering a getaway.

Great condo! Plenty of room, well appointed and great location. We will be back! Plenty of room for family of 6. One suggestion- replace the twins upstairs with full/queen. Twins are too small for anyone.

This was the second time we stayed at this condo and it was just as good the second time around! The condo was clean, well-stocked and so close to everything we needed. We came to spend a day skiing and tubing and both were easy to get to.
I did tell them when I dropped the keys off, but the dishwasher was loose inside the cabinet. It worked fine, but if you pulled the trays out while it was loaded with dishes, the entire thing started to fall forward. They said management could take a look. Seems like an easy fix as it just needs to be re-secured in the cabinet.
I also wish that the check-in process was automatic or keys could be left in a lockbox at the condo. You have to drive to the office to get them and drop them off. Not a big deal, but a little inconvenient. Not enough to not come back though.

Nice views, large and spacious, clean and a quick drive to sugar mountain! Would definitely stay here again! My family thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

We loved our 4 night stay! The views were amazing and everything just as stated online. We drove down to ski lodge everyday because we had kids, and we had to go down and get lift tickets anyway. It had snowed the night before we got there and wind chill was -30 degrees the day before. 4WD is a must but the roads were very well taken care of. The fireplace was great, the rooms were perfect with a bathroom in each one and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook! We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at this property during a winter blizzard with temperatures well below freezing. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a thermostat set at 55 degrees, no one has stopped by to make sure we have comfortable temperature. When I raised the temperature, heating worked only in emergency mode. I called Vacasa who manages this property. and the operations person told me that this is what happens every time it's cold outside. Also he promised the property manager will call me back.
Well, no one has called back. We spent the whole weekend at about 65 degrees, this is the maximum it reached.
I wonder why Vacasa did not do a proper check of the property before our arrival and, also, knowing how cold is outside, they should have alert us before travelling to tell us what might happen.
Also, their cleaning is not very good, lots of dust everywhere, we even found a cup left in the microwave with some uknown dried liquid in it.
I hope the owner of the property sees my message and find another property manager. Vacasa does not really care about his customers.
Also, I gave this feedback directly to Vacasa, they know my opinion.
At the end, I would give a 4 star rating to this property but zero for Vacasa. Hence my final 2 star rating for our stay.

Came for a weekend of boarding on sugar. Easy access to slopes and amazing views. Highly recommend.

The home, the space, and the views were amazing. It very comfortably fit 5 people and allowed us to relax after a long day of skiing. There were a few downsides. All of the dishes and pans were dirty in the cabinets and had to be cleaned before use. There was a leak in the ceiling in the main bath. The lights down work on the patio. The clicker for the fan did not let us turn the light off while keeping the fan on. We also had a hard time figuring out which building was ours. The ad identified a different unit than we actually stayed in. Thanks for the beautiful stay. I would like to stay again with hopes it's a bit cleaner and the lights/ electronics work.

This is a wonderful condo on the side of the mountain overlooking sugar mountain resort. The condo was clean, updated, and had amazing views. We had plenty of towels, toilet paper and other necessities, and the kitchen was well equipped with what we needed to eat all of our meals at home. The location is superb. We enjoyed the view and it was a 5 minute drive to the ski resort and to the little town area. I have two suggestions to make this place amazing. 1) buy a new coffee maker or a keurig. The coffee maker was frankly gross and we had to scrub it before we remotely felt comfortable using it. We don’t mind doing that but some of it just couldn’t be cleaned. 2) the twin beds in the upstairs loft are extremely hard. Our kids aren’t picky but they couldn’t sleep on those mattresses and ended up sharing the room downstairs. Worked out for us but might be something for owners to consider. Overall we would definitely return again.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this property. Very clean, very well appointed with a gorgeous view!

Great place to stay!
Super comfortable beds, and very clean accommodations. It is a little hard to find using GPS so use the paper directions. It is close to sugar mountain so if you're going for snowboarding you are less than 5 minutes away.

We had a great time staying at the house and it accommodated our family needs perfectly. This trip was to enjoy the end of Fall weather but also just to enjoy the scenery of the Blue Ridge Parkway and the friendly town of Banner Elk. Winter weather blew in Sunday night and when woke up it was a chilly 19 degrees.... just needed a little snow to close the deal. We will be back for skiing!

This place was awesome. Only things are: they need to update the towels and maybe provide “beach towels” in case you go tubing/rafting. Also think they need a keurig coffee maker. But still a fantastic trip.

Lots of space and beautiful views
This unit was more spacious than expected. The unit was very clean. It is located pretty high up Sugar Mountain and requires a drive to the lifts. The parking is on a slope and it can be treacherous/impossible to get out of the subdivision if you do not have the appropriate vehicle/chains. The plow will come at night and in the morning, but it is still a tricky drive with a regular vehicle if there is any snow or ice.
We had rain (snow the last night), so skiing wasn't so great, but we were thankful we had such a nice place to relax. The views are wonderful and we could see the upper slopes from our unit.

Great place!!
View was awesome and so were the accomodations. Not as close to the slopes as we anticipated but still a great place!
