About this bed and breakfast
We're located on the edge of downtown Houma within walking distance to most everything. We are within walking distance to parades and festivals. It's only 4 blocks to Main St and 2 blocks to Barrow St. The Mardi Gras parades pass on both. We park here ourselves for parades. Our office is in the same building. We are right across the street from St. Francis Cathedral for mass, weddings, and funerals.
We have a full kitchen - Refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer
For attorneys, we are one block from the courthouse. You can meet clients and walk to court and meet here again during recess for court. There is a table with chairs, a desk, printer/fax available, WiFi.
There are several restaurants close by including Lumiere, Christiano's, Embers, Melvin's, NY Bagel, 531 Liberty, Spigot's, Big Mike's, A-Bear's, Jolly Inn, and 1921. Just a little further but not far are Cajun Critters, Copeland's, Ground Pati, Big Al's, Outback, Ichiban, Osaka, Applebee's, Texas Roadhouse, Sicily's, Chili's, and more.
Just a little note about the building. The previous owner was an attorney who is now retired. There was a house facing Wood St, which is the one you will occupy, and one facing Goode St. He connected the two with an addition in the middle, which we occupy as our office. We're not there much and there are rarely more than 2 of us at a time. We're very quiet. The house facing Goode St is part of Houma Downtown Guest House and is Suite 1. We are not sure of the age but believe both original houses to be over 100 years old. We have tried to keep some of the ambiance of the age with modern conveniences.

For Work and Play!!
Mr. Parr and Ms. Donna are genuinely down to earth people who care about you! We were here for work for the most part in Lockport 30 min away. Really easy access to work, shop and play, when we got a chance. The whole reason why we picked this location is how long we would be here and needed a home away from home and that's exactly what we got!! Donna and Carroll both gave great advice on restaurants (spent our Anniversary here), things to do for myself while I wasn't working with hubby and just helpful all around. Very quiet neighborhood (no lost sleep) and friendly neighbors!! There was a car show and festivals just a couple blocks away no need to find parking just walked on over!! Look, as long as my husband can eat his supper and go to bed without hassle he's happy and he really likes the Houma area so who knows may move one day lol! The home itself is cozy and I can do all the cleaning, cooking, and laundry i want, no hotel, no fast food, no laundromat that's a bonus for us!! Whether you're here for a weekend or the long work schedule, do yourself a favor and check this out!!
