The farmstay is recommended!

1. The location is strategic as you get a good view of Mt Kinabalu. 2. The staff are all friendly and so helpful. 3. Vicky is very responsive to whatsapp messages. 4. We ordered dinner and breakfast since didn’t want to go out - they were good! Except for the soft boiled eggs were not soft :p 5. Kitchen is complete with stove, rice cooker, kettle, fridge, cutleries.

1. Too many uneven patches on the road leading to the farmstay. 2. The bedsheets could use a fragrant detergent to get rid of stale smell. Same goes to the towels. 3. The water heater doesn’t work, or probably because the water supply is too cold.

If i could i would position the bed facing the magnificent kinabalu.

The view from the room, magnificent!!! The receptionist is also friendly enough to accommodate the question issued.

If there is a specific parking, appreciate if drawn figure can be handed out prior arrival. Might want to add a privacy blind at the balcony. Good idea of having a table in the balcony but please make it smaller table since large table for only 2 person stay will only eat up space.

I love it. I can see Mt Kinabalu tip from my bed.

Love this room. It worth with money you spent. Do not expect you will get everything perfect while you bought peanut. They have grocery shop, room service menu and its goreng2 also delicious. If you’re urban people and scared bugs or flies, hope you will find another hotel. When I opened sliding door, some flies came in, but for me it was normal. You will hear river water, birds, flies etc and it bring me to nature life. Love it

Everything is okay, except access road have holes everywhere. That’s not property owner’s fault, but his local government did not do their job.

GREAT VALUE STAY

Good views, can see Mount kinabalu, ample space, great n friendly staff. My family love their cloth hanging rack haha. Light cooking is allowed and good water heater.

The road towards this stay was so bumpy and many holes. Sometimes water heater like not functioning. Bed in one of the room (near the door) is not comfortable to sleep. Oh ya the light in room n dinning area was so romantic, personally feel that its a bit dim.

Magnificent view

Magnificent view of the Majestic Mount Kinabalu. Woke up early at 6am to see the beautiful, clearest view of Akinabalu. Order steamboat during our stay. Superb, tasty, tomyam delicious. The staff are really helpful and kind.

If you prefer to be secluded yet provided with a clear view, food and mini mart, this hotel is for you.

The view from the room is the best feature of this hotel. Very few hotels can offer such a view for a relatively affordable price. The hotel also has a minimart and cafe so it’s convenient if you’re lazy to drive out to grab a bite or knick knacks.

The view and affordability comes with a price, which is the remote location. The hotel is like the last property on the paved but uneven road. So driving to the hotel from the town centre is like a good 30mins, make it 40mins when it’s dark and raining. Room is comfortable for 2 adults and an infant, anything more than that, you will need a bigger room there.

Really clean chalet with great view. Onsite restaurant and convenience store.

It’s really clean. For a small operator it’s very really well maintained. Our unit has 1 queen and 2 twin, comfortable for 4 ppl. They have restaurant and convenience store. We arrived quite late in the evening, after 3 hrs drive from Kota Kinabalu we were too tired to go out again. Very glad we could eat proper (and affordable) dinner at the chalet. The view of Mount Kinabalu is gorgeous from the sitting area upstairs. Some units have mountain view from their balcony too. Owner is really friendly.

Access road from the last junction to the property (about 1 km) is very poor. Lots of potholes and uneven paving. Some skilled driving required. Pillows are hard, fluffier pillows would be nice. Duvets are comfortable but it would be good to have spare wool blanket too. The second night we were there it was very cold, i wished i had wool blanket to layer my duvet. Water flow in the bathroom is a bit slow. There are cats on the property, one cat kept trying enter our unit, always had to chase it away as one of us is allergic to cats.

Great place for a nice cozy stay, would consider coming back again.

Peaceful and quiet, the food from the restaurant was really good too.

It was far in Kampung Mesilou, takes almost half and an hour to reach Kundasang town from the farmstay. The roads were bumpy but still doable.

Disappointed experience! Bad location & pricey for basic accommodation.

The drive to this accommodation is windy, road conditions was also bad with lots of potholes. Accommodation is just beside a main road, not in a farmland, so felt a bit cheated by the name “farmstay”. Room is really basic, just a kettle & cups, no tv, shower and toilet together in a small space. Room also has a unpleasant gutter smell. There were also signs of landslide just behind the accommodation. We have booked for two nights but left after one night as the beddings were uncomfortable and the gutter smell was also quite unbearable.
