The Destin Sun is a quiet and secluded high quality home that is surrounded by nature! The home is located in a gated community, and has its own Private Pool and a wrap around porch to enjoy! A free 6 Passenger Golf Cart (LSV) is also included.
The Space:
The Destin Sun is a high quality 6 Bedroom, 7 bath, private home that sleeps up to 18 guests. The home is located in an upscale, private, gated community called Destiny West and is right off the scenic beach highway 98. The neighborhood is also right across the street from the Crab Trap beach access and restaurant! It has a private pool that is able to be heated in the winter months. It has a complimentary 6-passenger golf cart. Get to the beach access in less than 1 minute on the golf cart, or about 5 minutes if you walk! Inside the community, is a large community pool with restrooms, tennis and basketball court, a gym, and a hot tub. This home is within 2 miles of several restaurants, a gas station, a large outdoor shopping mall (The Destin Commons), a Publix, a Walgreens Pharmacy, and much more.

It includes a microwave, dishwasher, stove, 1 refrigerator, double toaster, Keurig, coffeepot, crock-pot, griddle, blender… as well as all the normal utensils and cookware. There is also a center island bar with 6 bar stools.
DINING ROOM:Located across from the kitchen and bar is the dining room. Enjoy your family meals at this large table that seats 10 people. Not only can you see the TV from this space, it also has a front-row view of the backyard and pool.
LIVING ROOM: This cozy living room is right next to the dining room and has 2 full sized sofas, and 2 accent chairs. Watch your favorite shows on the large 55 inch, 4K, flat screen TV.
BEDROOM + BATHROOM #1: This bedroom is on the first floor to the right when you walk in the front door. It has a king-sized bed, dresser, 1 nightstand, and a flat screen TV. It also has its own private bathroom with a shower.
BEDROOM + BATHROOM #2: Located on the first floor, (across from bedroom #1). This bedroom has a king-sized bed, dresser, 1 nightstand, accent chair, and a flat screen TV. It has its own spacious, private bathroom with a stand-up shower.
BATHROOM #7 (Half Bath):This bathroom is located on the first floor, off of the main hallway.
LAUNDRY: Located downstairs, off of the main hallway. 1 washer, 1 dryer. You will find all of the towels stored here.
BACKYARD: Take a swim in the 28×15 ft. private, salt water pool. The lush backyard also has a table with an umbrella that seats 6. Plenty of lounge chairs, and a gas grill. The pool can also be heated in the winter months.
2ND FLOOR:
BEDROOM + BATHROOM #3: Up the stairs and to the right, you have bedroom number three. This bedroom has a king-sized bed, dresser, 2 night stands, and a flat screen TV. It also has its own private bathroom, with a stand-up shower.

We’ve stayed here two consecutive years now and this house is excellent for several couples staying together due to the number of king rooms and bathrooms. Every year we take a trip with ~5 couples and 4 children and this house works perfectly. My only wish is that it was closer to the beach- but given the reasonable price and bedrooms we are likely to book again next year!

Home beautiful, perfect for our family! Owner reachable and prompt with all needs, questions, and concerns. A dust pan would have been great- found broom but no dust pan. Was told there were two blow dryers in house but only found one. Loved the pool, outside shower, and golf cart! A drying rack on back patio would be good along with additional hooks in bathrooms. Thank you for everything! We would love to visit again!

Spacious enough for 8 adults and 6 children with beach time in am and pool in afternoon and evening. Kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. Needed to stagger some grocery purchases due to size of group. Bedrooms were great with king size en-suites but some mattresses will need replaced soon. Golf cart was very helpful with runs to the beach.

The house was very nice along with the pool and golf cart. The refrigerator was very slow to make ice so we had to keep buying it. Side by side refrigerators are not big enough for that many people in one house. We also had a lot of aunts in the house.

The house is listed as secluded - it is but it is at the very end of the gated community and is directly across from the power grid- that’s why there aren’t pictures of the front of the house. Also next to the house is a drop off into a swampy area - it’s pretty but means that the bugs are intense!! We couldn’t sit outside in the evening and definitely couldn’t swim in the evening! As someone that is trained in safety awareness - no smoke detectors or extinguishers in the house. No safety bars in the tubs and the concrete outside is very slippery when wet. There are no grippers or sandy paint to keep you from slipping - not good for children or older adults. Now for the good - plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, house is equipped with washer/dryer/iron and board. Fans in the bedrooms were wonderful since you can’t adjust the temp inside. It’s a nice house and the golf cart was a huge plus. Rental company will NOT budge
on check in so we sat outside waiting even though no one was there. Destin is a great place to visit, lots to do and beach is easily accessed.

We all had so much fun! It had pretty much anything we needed! Just a few suggestions would be… have at least 1 full propane tank for grill.. there was 4 there but all were empty so we had to use stove to make our burgers and hot dogs. Pool was ‘cloudy’ half the time but did clear up after Weds when the guys treated it. We didn’t realize the construction guys would be starting their work at 7a every day but we dealt with it. Other than that, all was great and we’d definitely all stay here again in the future!

Brought our adult kids and their kids in to celebrate Christmas. We had a great time, from easy access to the beach to the heated pool out back which saw lots of use. Everyone had a bedroom and plenty of space to gather and play. The house is “well loved” but extremely clean and neat. Cannot say enough good things about Travel Life Vacations, their courtesy and professionalism and ease of working with them. Their communications were very prompt and good follow through. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues which they very promptly corrected. Would recommend them for future vacations.

Every year we plan a girls trip to Destin and this house we stayed in was perfect for us. There were 12 of us ladies and the house was beautifully decorated very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation totalling 15 people, was secluded which we liked in the neighborhood, perfect size for kids and adults. Only recommendation is to add another refrigerator and checkin needs to be 4pm at the latest. 5pm is a late time when traveling in.

The house was wonderful, being in a gated community. It is close to everything, especially the beach. The golf cart was very convenient. Yes, there are lots of rules that go along with this rental, but if it were my home, I'd probably have the same rules.
We did not heat the pool as it was the last week of May, and the water was warmer than expected. We arrived late-ish, at 8:30 pm. We had an issue with the internet upon arrival. I texted and they fixed it remotely the next morning, and it worked for the remainder of our stay. The AC worked perfectly the entire trip and kept the house very cool.
The beds were comfortable, and it was nice that every room was a "suite"...each with its own bathroom (along with two "spare" bathrooms, one on each floor). The house was clean, has lots of space and everyone had a great time. Loved the covered porch, which was also large, as it rained a couple of times, yet we could still enjoy each other's company outdoors.
A couple of texts to the rental company went unanswered, but they were really just to relay information to them. One of our trash cans went missing after they were emptied at the end of the drive on trash day.
The parking was enough for 4 mid-size SUVs (snugly), but I would recommend backing into the drive to make exiting easier. There is no place to really turn around. Not a big deal.
I would definitely recommend this rental to any family looking for a great place to stay while in Destin, and we would love to return again!

This place is exactly as the picture show! Located in a beautiful gated community, house is very clean and was plenty big enough for the 10 of us! Loved the pool in the back and the golf cart made it convenient to get to close by areas such as the beaches and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again! The property owner was in contact as well making sure everything was going great. Loved this home.

Overall nice. Disappointed we were told the property we initially reserved became unavailable the day before we traveled and were relocated to a similar property. More pool towels would be nice. Well stocked kitchen utensils. Tupperware was very helpful. Would be nice to have reusable plastic cups and plates for poolside. We reported a broken bed on arrival. No real response. Asked to clean grill after use but too far gone already. Extra container for recycleables would help.

An unforseen problem occurred within the home forcing us to leave 2 days before our week was up. Mike, representing the property manager, was an eleven out of ten handling the situation. Not only was Mike prompt in returning calls he secured us another home more beautiful than Destin Sun (if that was possible) and paid the difference so we could enjoy our last 2 days in Destin.
This was our second visit to the Destin Sun home and definitely not our last.

The property was just as described and check-in was effortless. Property management was very attentive and made sure that everything was to our liking. I did contact Ryan after we discovered that the light over the stove was out. He responded promptly and sent someone out the next day to replace it.
We were a family group with my mom (80's) Sister and brother (50's) and our children ranging in age from 9-29 plus a 4 year old grandchild. Everyone said their beds were comfortable and it was great that all the adults had an ensuite. We made great use of the pool as well as the golf cart. The house is in the back of the neighborhood and there was only one home adjoining the property so it really was the most secluded home I have ever rented in Destin.
There was a large beach access and parking however we used the golf cart to drop off people and chairs etc and parked by the clubouse as the lot was usually full. The beach had plenty of room unlike a few blocks west where most of it was designated private and there was only a skinny strip where everyone from the inland rental homes could set up umbrellas and chairs.
The only suggestion I would have is to upgrade the bath towels. They were plentiful however they are showing some age and are a bit worn (no holes) and rough/scratchy. Be advised that there are no pantry items in the kitchen. Other homes I have rented always had some spices, salt and pepper, oil etc. in the pantry that renters leave for the next family. They do have a roll of paper towels, sponge and a couple dishwasher pods.
This was a great house and I would stay here again.

The property was nothing short of wonderful! We enjoyed are stay not only at the home but in the gated community. The location to the beach was so convenient and the Crab Trap is a great restaurant. The location of the home in that secluded lot makes it so cozy too! We will definitely stay in this home again!

The property is as described. The house was well kept and clean. The kitchen offered many different pots/ pans / tools. It was very well stocked. The golf cart was a great addition. We had 3 generations stay at the property and everyone enjoyed their stay.

Destin Sun a must stay
My family of 16, 8 adults and 8 kids, ages 4 thru 13 spent a week at the Destin Sun house .....it was perfect....located in a gated community, at the very end of the addition back a lane, we had absolute privacy....only other house was on one side of our house..other 3 sides had no one....all enjoyed the private pool, and the large community area on the lower level. Adults all had their own master bedroom/baths....plus two other rooms for all the kids....just 5 minutes or so from the beach....close to lots of restaurant options....would recommend it for any family our size....

Great Family vacation
We have stayed at many places, but none have been as clean as this home. It felt like home, a extra fully stocked kitchen, pool outside the door, great for a large family (with 5 king size beds), a wonderful bedroom for the kids to share bunk beds (they loved being together in one room), and the 6 passenger golfcart, was a real plus!!

Great house and location
The house was very accommodating for our family 8 adults and 6 children. Well stocked and modern. The golf cart and private pool were an added bonus for our beach vacation. The neighborhood was very nice and close to the beach. We had to issues at all. Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future!

Favorite place by far!
We stayed here for a week and the property met our expectations and more! Paying extra for the heated pool was worth it! It was pretty cool the week we went and our kids took full advantage of every minute of the pool.
Mike the property manager was very easy to get ahold of and always made sure everything was functioning properly.
The golf cart is a wonderful extra! The kids loved going on golf cart rides to the beach! The house is set in and very secluded which was great!
We didn't have any trouble with parking. We grew up on the farm so driving in reverse is never a problem.
This property is by far my favorite and we will book again here in the future!

Spotless home
This spacious home was very clean and updated. We loved the pool area and the location of the home. The golf cart really makes the stay. Everyone was easy to get a hold of and had excellent communication. We’d definitely stay here again.
